Chapter 65

Yang Mo sat in the car, speeding for a while, and his thoughts gradually settled down. He wasn't stupid; he knew he was being used as a tool to make someone angry.

"Was that handsome guy your boyfriend?" Yang Mo turned his head to ask Christina, who was driving.

"Used to be, not anymore." Christina wiped a tear from the corner of her eye and said firmly.

Hearing this, even though he had guessed the result, Yang Mo couldn't hide his disappointment. No man wanted to be a backup, and in Yang Mo's current situation, he wasn't even a backup, more like a spare tire. He was only used to change the tire and then thrown away after the job was done.

"Where are we going?" Yang Mo asked casually.

"To get married." Christina said with a very serious expression.

But Yang Mo could hear the anger in her tone, so he slapped the dashboard and shouted, "Stop the car."

Startled by Yang Mo's sudden outburst, Christina quickly braked, afraid that Yang Mo might go crazy and cause an accident.

"What do you take me for?" Yang Mo glared at Christina rudely and shouted, "I'm not a tool for you to break up with your boyfriend, and I'm not a toy for you to make him angry. If you want to marry me, I damn well don't want to marry you. Take me back right now."

Yang Mo's domineering demeanor scared Christina a bit.

"What are you waiting for? Take me back!" Yang Mo shouted in anger.

Christina didn't start the car immediately. Instead, she gazed at Yang Mo under the pink ambient lights in the car. Yang Mo was indeed a handsome man, with very defined features and a muscular, tall build. In his angry state, his masculinity was undoubtedly at its peak.

So, Christina actually became a bit infatuated. She kept comparing Robert with Yang Mo in her mind. Compared to Yang Mo, Robert was clearly inferior, whether in physique, appearance, or the most important aspect—masculinity.

"By the way, I don't even know your name? I'm Christina Stewart." Christina extended her hand to introduce herself to Yang Mo.

Yang Mo hesitated for a moment, thinking that it's impolite to refuse a friendly gesture, so he reached out and lightly shook her hand, saying, "I'm Yang Mo, from China."

"Yang Mo?" Christina silently remembered Yang Mo's name and then asked curiously, "Are all Chinese men so irritable?"

"This has nothing to do with Chinese men." Yang Mo clarified unhappily, "No man can accept being used as a tool to break up a relationship. No one wants to be innocently dragged into a love affair."

"I..." Hearing Yang Mo's words, Christina realized she had never considered his feelings from the beginning, only thinking about how to hurt Robert and make him feel the pain of betrayal. "I'm sorry, I ignored your feelings."

Christina apologized sincerely.

"It's okay." Hearing her apology, Yang Mo's anger subsided, and he said, "Let's go back."

Christina nodded and pressed the start button, but the car didn't move at all. She quickly took out the key and tried to start it again, but it still didn't budge.

Damn! The car had broken down.

"Do you have a phone?" Christina asked Yang Mo urgently.

Yang Mo felt his pockets and realized he had left his phone in his old clothes when he changed pants today. Those clothes were still in Dwayne's car.

"No! What about you?" Yang Mo asked Christina.

"My phone is in Jay-Z's swimming pool." Christina shrugged, answering helplessly.

Yang Mo slapped his forehead. This was really bad. He opened the car door and got out, only to find himself in the middle of nowhere, with no signs of civilization for miles. The vast, sparsely populated area was a real disadvantage; any unexpected situation could turn into a major problem. No wonder Japanese cars sold so well in America; they had a low failure rate and were less likely to break down.

"Do you know where we are?" Yang Mo asked.

"I just drove onto a random road. It should be Highway 65 or 62, I'm not sure." Christina scratched her head; she didn't even know where they were.

"Shit!" Yang Mo cursed. This was really bad. The car had broken down on a deserted road, and neither of them had any means of communication. This was a recipe for disaster!

Looking up at the stars, Yang Mo really wanted to ask the heavens what he had done to deserve this. He had tossed and turned all night yesterday, and today, he had a woman, but the scene was set in a remote, desolate area. And this woman was a recently heartbroken actress. This was just crazy!

Awooo!

Suddenly, a wolf howl came from the distance. Christina screamed in fright and said, "I know, this is Highway 65, and there's a nature park nearby with many wild gray wolves."

"Shit!"

Yang Mo cursed and quickly ran back into the car. He complained, "American imperialism is evil. Why keep wolves in the wild? It's dangerous and doesn't generate any revenue. In China, they're kept in zoos, which is safer and boosts the GDP."

Yang Mo grumbled, but Christina shivered and leaned against him, trembling. "The wolves won't find us, right?"

"Probably not?" Yang Mo wasn't sure; he had never dealt with wolves before. He had only seen wolves on TV, but never American gray wolves.

"What do we do now?" Christina subconsciously hugged Yang Mo's strong body.

"What else can we do? Wait until morning, and hope a car passes by." Yang Mo said irritably. He didn't understand what had possessed this girl to drive around with a man like this. Even if she wanted to make her boyfriend angry, there were other ways. Now they were stuck in the middle of nowhere with wild wolves. This was terrifying!

"Can you hold me? I'm cold." Christina clung to Yang Mo tightly, still trembling, whether from fear or the cold.

Seeing this, Yang Mo had no choice but to wrap his arms around her, using his body heat to warm her.

Their actions were intimate, but Yang Mo had no other thoughts. In this situation, who could think about anything else? As the ancients said, when one is well-fed and warm, one thinks of lust. But Yang Mo was both hungry and cold, so he couldn't muster the energy.

Yang Mo couldn't muster the energy, but as Christina was held by Yang Mo, she gradually warmed up. In this harsh environment, she felt incredibly warm and safe in his arms. She started to have all sorts of thoughts.
