『It』 was drifting aimlessly through the sea of stars.

『It』, which can only be described as a glowing blue orb, found a star that shone blue like a gem among the stars.

Curious, 『It』 broke through the atmosphere and descended to the ground.

Without any particular reason, 『It』 headed toward an island nation that caught its eye.

By chance, 『It』 landed in the capital of the country, but it seemed to be of little importance as 『It』 gazed at the various lights of the cities from the night sky.

The blue orb descended further, flying past high-rise buildings. The orb, about the size of a baseball, observed the inhabitants of the star without being noticed by anyone.

Suddenly, 『It』 noticed a flickering light coming from a window. The light was leaking from several displays connected to a PC, and next to them, a person from this star lay in a large bed that resembled a coffin.

The person had a strange headgear with several cords extending from it. Next to the bed, another person in a white coat sat in a chair, typing on a touch-panel keyboard. In the dimly lit room, the light from the displays faintly illuminated the man's face.

Eventually, the person lying in the bed sat up and removed the headgear.

"Welcome back. How was it over there?"

The man who had been typing on the keyboard spoke to the man who had been lying down.

"Amazing. The sensation was just like the real thing. It felt as if I had wandered into another world."

The man who had been lying down got up from the bed, still excited, and shared his thoughts with the man sitting in the chair. The man in the chair also smiled, not entirely displeased.

"Your feedback is encouraging, but we still have a long way to go. It will take a few years to complete. Let's go to the medical room for a vital check. Have you noticed any changes in your condition?"

"Not really. I feel a bit hungry, maybe because I ran around over there."

"Hmm. Feeling hungry, huh?"

The man got up from the bed and left the room with the man next to him.

The sound of the door locking echoed, and their footsteps faded away.

Once the room was empty, 『It』, like a ghost, slipped in without opening the window. Floating in the dimly lit room, 『It』 was drawn to the various flickering displays and the world they showed.

The blue orb entered the display.

In the next moment, 『It』 recognized another world within it.

Even more intrigued, 『It』 delved deeper, further into this world. Perhaps in this world, 『It』 could "connect."
