Hi all, this is Ruka and it’s my first time translating a novel. I grew to love Ka Biqiu’s novels and was quite sad that this wasn’t translated. I had just finished this novel and really love the MC a lot for his character. It’s a short and sweet story and I hope more can get to read it.

While I will try to stick as close as possible to the original raw text’s meaning, I may need to tweak it a little sometimes for it to make sense in English. I have a problem searching for Qingcheng city (I suspect it’s based in Sichuan but I’m not sure so I left it as it is). For the title, it is actually a Chinese idiom that could be explained as overindulgence in playthings and forgetting one’s ambitions. However it feels weird to set that as a title so I thought I’ll keep the Chinese title in pinyin instead. Please forgive my grammar (past/present tenses). I’ll also be adding some footnotes at the bottom for better understanding.

For updates, I will try to upload a chapter every few days but no promise depending on real life’s work.
