Using the small tripod to absorb the gray-black mist seemed simple, but in reality, it made Qin Xianyu feel extremely nervous, and before he knew it, his back was drenched in sweat. Fortunately, after much effort, he finally managed to drive away all the gray-black mist.
Seeing Miss Liu’s eyes open, Qin Xianyu was overjoyed and laughed out loud.
“This is...”
Miss Liu’s eyes were dazed, and it took a long time for them to gradually clear. Then, her body stiffened, her eyes filled with shock and anger, and her face was flushed with embarrassment.
Seeing the young Taoist’s somewhat “lecherous” smile, Liu Ruoyin was so ashamed and angry that her eyes immediately turned red and moist.
Slap!
Miss Liu, who had a gentle disposition and rarely got angry, used all her strength to slap the young Taoist. Then she covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes, wetting her cheeks.
Qin Xianyu was stunned, feeling extremely wronged: “This... this... what’s going on?”
While he still felt wronged, he suddenly felt his hand stiffen.
Looking down, he saw that his hand was pressing on Miss Liu’s soft chest. This stiffness made it seem as if he had gripped it even tighter.
Miss Liu was extremely shocked and angry, and she quickly slapped him again.
“I didn’t do it on purpose!”
Qin Xianyu shouted, quickly pulling his hand back and stepping back a few steps. He secretly sighed, knowing that the slap he had just received was well-deserved.
Who knew that when he pressed down the gray-black mist, he would accidentally press that spot?
Originally, Qin Xianyu felt extremely wronged for being slapped after curing her illness, but now, he felt somewhat ashamed and guilty.
He could still feel the warmth and smoothness in his palm, even through her undergarment, as if the delicate sensation had passed through the fabric to his hand...
Qin Xianyu trembled, feeling guilty, and quickly stopped his wandering thoughts.
Liu Ruoyin was extremely ashamed and angry, but due to her long illness, she had no strength. Being able to slap him twice was already a great effort. Feeling violated, she covered her mouth and sobbed softly, but then she remembered that she had just slapped him. If she covered herself again, wouldn’t it be...
She quickly let go, feeling even more ashamed, but her long illness and weakness made her even more agitated. She tried to lift her head but finally fell into a deep unconsciousness.
Qin Xianyu sighed in relief, feeling a faint fragrance from his hand. He thought about bringing it to his nose to smell, but that would confirm the accusation of impropriety. He quickly put his hand down and thought to himself, “The rules of White Cloud Temple have been lost by the time they reached my generation. From now on, I will set the rules, and the first one should be to follow the precepts!”
But then he thought, where did White Cloud Temple ever have any precepts?
Without precepts, how could he follow them?
He patted his head and sighed, then went to cover Miss Liu with the brocade quilt, saying softly, “Don’t catch a cold from the draft. The slap just now was a punishment for my transgression, but you shouldn’t have hit me, as I saved you.”
After covering her, Qin Xianyu sighed in relief and touched his cheek.
“What if someone sees the slap mark? What will they think?”
As he was thinking this, he heard a sound, and the door opened.
Qin Xianyu quickly turned his head to avoid showing the slap mark to Ninger, feeling somewhat uneasy.
Ninger walked in and saw the young Taoist standing to one side, his head tilted as if he were looking at the scenery outside the window.
The view outside the window was beautiful, with a garden behind the wall, artificial mountains, flowing water, and lush flowers. A gentle breeze blew in, making the young Taoist’s hair flutter, and his Taoist robe billowed, giving him an ethereal appearance.
Ninger was stunned, thinking, “This young Taoist is quite handsome, but why isn’t he treating the illness and just standing by the window enjoying the breeze? I’ve heard that Taoists and monks often go to the mountains and cliffs to look out and shout. Is this young Taoist just pretending?”
Thinking this, the young girl became even more angry and shouted, “Young Taoist, why aren’t you treating the illness and just standing there enjoying the breeze?”
Qin Xianyu didn’t know that Ninger had already considered him a pretentious and affected person. Hearing her voice, he felt somewhat uneasy, coughed lightly, and said, “Um, Ninger, Miss Liu’s illness... uh... the treatment went smoothly...”
“Smoothly?” Ninger remembered that the young Taoist had been treating the illness. Hearing that it went smoothly, she was overjoyed and didn’t wait to say much more. She quickly went around the screen and through the beaded curtain into the inner room.
She saw Miss Liu still lying on the embroidered bed, covered with a brocade quilt, her long black hair spread out on the pillow.
Miss Liu was clearly not awake, so why did the young Taoist say it went smoothly?
No, that’s not right.
Ninger looked closely and saw that Miss Liu’s cheeks were wet with tears, and the brocade quilt seemed somewhat disheveled.
“Little brat Taoist!!! Stinky old Taoist!!!”
Ninger, filled with anger, ran out and pointed at Qin Xianyu, shouting, “You little brat Taoist, stinky old Taoist, how dare you lay hands on Miss Liu? Do you know this is the Liu residence? It would be easy to beat you to death!!!”
Thinking of how she had trusted this young Taoist, Ninger became even more furious, her eyes instantly turning red and moist. She picked up a pestle and struck at Qin Xianyu fiercely.
Qin Xianyu stepped back a few steps, his face showing a bitter smile, and the ethereal appearance vanished, leaving him looking somewhat disheveled.
He dodged a few times, and Ninger saw the slap mark on his face.
The mark was delicate, matching Miss Liu’s hand perfectly. It must have been because he had violated her and was slapped. Thinking this, Ninger became even more enraged and threw the pestle at him, not caring that there were still herbs in the mortar. She picked it up again and struck at him.
Qin Xianyu, though he had true qi and had learned swordsmanship, had not learned any evasive techniques, and was indeed in a difficult position, dodging hastily.
Seeing Ninger about to call for help, Qin Xianyu’s face changed, and he rushed forward, covering her mouth and nose.
Ninger struggled, her eyes filled with fear, thinking, “This young Taoist is really bold. Is he going to take advantage of me? Where is the old steward with the people?”
“Misunderstanding, Ninger, don’t be angry, don’t be hasty.”
Qin Xianyu let her go, seeing that she was about to hit him again, he stepped back a few steps, “Please let me explain!”
Ninger, fearing that the young Taoist might go crazy again, held something as if to hit him, but after a moment, she listened to Qin Xianyu. Her eyes flashed with disdain, and she was about to call for help.
Qin Xianyu thought it was bad and, before she could shout, covered her mouth again.
“Please let me explain!”
“Please let the accused defend himself!”
“Please, I beg you, kind-hearted Ninger, just give me a chance...”
Qin Xianyu pleaded, feeling extremely wronged, thinking that if he had supernatural powers, he would make it snow in June.
Seeing that Ninger’s eyes seemed to lose some of their coldness and suspicion, Qin Xianyu thought there was a chance to negotiate. After a moment, he said in a low, bitter voice, “Just now, I cured Miss Liu’s illness. When she woke up and saw only me in the room, she must have misunderstood, so...”
“If you don’t believe me, you can ask Miss Liu when she wakes up.”
Qin Xianyu thought that by the time she woke up, he would have already left.
Ninger’s brows furrowed slightly, but she seemed to believe him.
Qin Xianyu sighed in relief.
Knock, knock, knock.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and a gentle voice asked, “Ninger, come open the door.”
Qin Xianyu’s face changed slightly.
Ninger looked at him, smiled coldly, and shouted, “Madam, the door is unlocked, you can come in with the people.”
She brought people? Qin Xianyu was slightly startled and thought quickly, shouting, “Ninger, I barely saved Miss Liu, why are you hitting me?”
PS: I love these melodramatic scenes; they’re so much fun... Also, the small problem with my computer’s graphics card worsened today, almost sending it to repair.
