"Daozhang, you were really bad last night."

A soft voice sounded in his ear, feigning gentleness but still carrying a clear tone.

Qin Xianyu, who had just stepped out of the inn, had not yet reacted when a fragrant aroma wafted past him.

It was a clear and penetrating fragrance, fresher than any flower.

Qin Xianyu's body stiffened slightly.

In front of him stood a young girl, her face veiled, appearing almost ethereal.

The girl was wearing a light yellow dress, her delicate features deliberately showing a few threads of gentleness. She said softly, "Daozhang, last night you even knocked over the table. You were really wicked."

Her voice, though feigning gentleness, could not hide its inherent clear and beautiful tone, adding a unique flavor. Looking at the girl with the veil, her face was not clearly visible, but her ears were already flushed red from speaking these words.

Qin Xianyu recalled that before she left last night, she seemed to say she would make him look good. He had wondered how this girl would deal with him.

He carried a sword, always on guard.

He even guarded against the elders behind the girl.

But he never expected that the way this girl would take revenge for that sword strike would be such a performance.

Qin Xianyu's face showed a mix of shock, complexity, and stiffness.

The guards of the Xiang family estate all looked at the mysterious young Daoist with astonishment.

They looked at each other, all thinking, "So this profound and transcendent Daozhang is also a man of many affairs."

Some of the older guards, who had never been with a woman, felt ashamed and almost shed tears, thinking, "Although Daozhang's skills are extraordinary, he doesn't look very old. He has already experienced the world of women. We are in our thirties and forties, and we have never even smelled what a woman is like."

Ye Qing, on the other hand, was full of admiration and respect. He muttered to himself, "When Daozhang went to see the innkeeper earlier, was it because he damaged the bed in the room last night? Or did the innkeeper send this woman, so he gave the innkeeper some benefits? Unfortunately, I was busy last night and didn't have the chance to get closer to Daozhang."

Inside the carriage, a hand lifted the curtain and looked at where Qin Xianyu stood.

Ye Qing's words, carried by the wind, drifted into the carriage.

Su Wenxiu heard everything, her face turning quite unpleasant. So this little Daoist had so many ulterior motives when he went to see the innkeeper last night?

Thinking of the tall and elegant figure in the courtyard last night, the sword that cut through the moonlight, and the transcendent demeanor, the scene that night left a lasting impression, making her unable to sleep.

Waking up today, she thought that when he walked to the courtyard last night, he might have been discussing some ulterior motives with the innkeeper, which made her furious.

Qin Xianyu's face was cold as he said, "Is this how you make me look good?"

The girl moved closer, laughing, and said, "Look at how they look at you, like you're a flower. Don't you look much better?"

Qin Xianyu's hand twitched.

"Do you want to draw your sword?" The girl took two steps back and said in a low voice, "I won't fight you, and who knows what kind of sword technique you have? With less than eight inches of true qi, you can match my nine inches. I've never seen such a strange sword technique before."

Qin Xianyu did not answer her but said, "Who are you?"

The girl huffed, "I won't tell you."

They were close, and their voices were low, making it look like they were whispering sweet nothings.

Su Wenxiu gritted her teeth, huffed, and turned to enter the carriage. A moment later, she lifted the curtain again and said, "Commander Ye, go tell Little Daozhang Qin that we are leaving. Please have him clear up his affairs quickly."

Ye Qing was slightly taken aback and said, "No rush, it won't take long."

Su Wenxiu said coolly, "The sooner we set off, the sooner we reach the city. How can it not be urgent? Also, buy some medicine and invite some doctors to treat everyone. These are all urgent matters."

Ye Qing thought about it and found it reasonable.

Liu Ye, lying in another simple carriage bought from the inn last night, heard Su Wenxiu's words and his face turned strange. Thinking of Ye Qing, he sighed, "Ye Qing, this silly child, really doesn't know when to be tactful. He will suffer when we get back."

At this moment, a faint sound of a zither could be heard, faint and elusive.

Qin Xianyu heard it and sighed in relief.

Sure enough, hearing the zither, the girl seemed helpless and said, "I'll go first. We'll play again next time."

Qin Xianyu sneered, "No need, right?"

The girl ignored him, huffed, and glanced at the other carriage, raising her voice and feigning gentleness, "Sir, you are really bad. This time, I'll charge you less, but next time, you'll have to pay a few more taels of silver."

These words were still too explicit for the girl. Although her face was veiled, her ears were already red. By the end, she could no longer maintain the act and her voice returned to its clear and crisp tone.

But she still managed to finish the words, and the girl was quite pleased. She glanced at the woman in the carriage and then at Qin Xianyu, huffed, and left.

Before leaving, she still couldn't let him off easily. Qin Xianyu gritted his teeth, watching her go, and huffed, "Looking at your legs together, your brows not relaxed, and your down still present, according to the book, you are clearly an inexperienced girl. No matter how you pretend, it doesn't work."

As soon as Qin Xianyu finished speaking, he heard a heavy huff from behind.

The little Daoist turned around in surprise and saw Su Wenxiu turn and re-enter the carriage.

Surprised, he then saw the guards of the Xiang family estate looking at him with admiration. Despite his calm and composed demeanor, his face turned slightly dark, and he muttered to himself, "Could it be... they all believe that little girl's clumsy lies?"

...

Su Wenxiu originally thought something was wrong. The veiled woman was clearly a young girl, and although her face was not visible, her extraordinary and elegant demeanor was evident. She would not be involved in such affairs.

Thinking it was a misunderstanding of the little Daoist, she got out of the carriage. But when she walked behind the little Daoist, she heard him muttering to himself.

Looking at your legs together, your brows not relaxed, your down still present... clearly an inexperienced girl...

Hearing these words, Su Wenxiu felt a surge of anger and thought to herself, "So this little Daoist is indeed of poor character. Otherwise, how would he know such twisted theories? What a waste, he is even a Daoist!"

Outside the carriage, Ye Qing looked at Qin Xianyu with admiration and said, "Although Little Daozhang is a Daoist, he is also a man of many affairs, well-versed in women. He is truly a role model for us."

At this moment, Su Wenxiu's voice came from inside the carriage, softly saying, "Commander Ye."

"Miss."

"I see that a brother behind us has an injured leg and is having trouble walking. Give him your horse. Also, there are some miscellaneous items in Liu Lao's carriage. I'm afraid they will affect his rest, so carry them on your back. They weigh less than a hundred pounds."

Carrying a hundred pounds of miscellaneous items for several miles?

Even as an inner strength expert, Ye Qing was stunned.

ps: This chapter is a bit light-hearted, satisfying a bit of mischief... I originally wanted to develop the plot quickly, but I had planned this scene of the Daoist being teased for a long time and couldn't bear to skip it.

Also, my computer hasn't been fixed, so I'm using it for now to avoid a hiatus.
