【Name: Cecilia】

【Race: Human】

【Combat Class: Magic Apprentice (2nd Tier)】

【Personal Attributes — Strength: 3 (13); Stamina: 6 (15); Agility: 4 (14); Intelligence: 21 (25); Willpower: 20 (23)】

When Sean first saw Cecilia's personal attributes, he was utterly amazed.

After all, on the Miracle Continent, the normal five personal attributes for an adult human should be “5 (10).” The number five represents the current state, while the number ten represents the current growth limit. The growth limit only increases when advancing to a higher class, although it can also be improved through other means. The current state, on the other hand, gradually increases under different circumstances. For example, intelligence can be improved through prolonged reading, although this requires a significant amount of time, measured in months.

Therefore, in the game, most players who liked to take shortcuts would choose to spend proficiency points to boost their current attributes—something only Sean could do in this world.

Thus, Cecilia's outrageous and extreme personal attributes indeed left Sean feeling incredibly astonished: If it were just her intelligence that was particularly high, Sean could understand, but her willpower being so high was a different matter. After all, in Sean's experience, willpower was the hardest attribute to improve. If reading a large number of books for a month could increase intelligence by one point, then it would take three to four months of rigorous training to improve willpower by one point.

However, this was not absolute.

Sometimes, intense mental stimulation, if endured, could significantly boost willpower.

All of this clearly indicated that Cecilia, this little girl, had a story to tell.

But Sean didn't care about the hidden details behind her story.

What he valued more was Cecilia's potential. After all, Cecilia was still a minor, and once she reached adulthood, all her current personal attributes would increase by two points. In other words, once she became an adult, her intelligence and willpower would be 14 and 15, respectively. During the time Sean played the game, he had never heard of a magic class NPC with such high attributes.

Although Sean was very curious about what kind of experiences Cecilia had that led to her high willpower, after asking once and getting no answer, he stopped asking. He understood that with his current 1st Tier class, he probably couldn't help Cecilia much. Although he didn't want to admit it, Cecilia's written strength was indeed above his, which left Sean somewhat frustrated.

Class, this is the benchmark for judging a person's strength on the Miracle Continent.

However, this method of judgment is not absolute, and it certainly doesn't apply to Sean.

The reason is simple.

For the people of the Miracle Continent, the higher the class, the stronger the strength and the more powerful the abilities (skills) they possess. While there are examples of lower-tier classes defeating higher-tier classes, these are extremely rare and usually only occur in low-tier class battles. Sean, however, can gain proficiency points through level-ups and then allocate these points to different skills and personal attributes to maximize his strength. Additionally, he can see his opponents' personal attributes, so the class judgment standard doesn't apply to him.

If there is anyone who absolutely violates the general rules of the Miracle Continent, it would be Sean.

However, this doesn't mean Sean can't improve his class.

The Miracle Continent and the game "Miracle" are completely consistent. Therefore, for Sean, who had reached the 9th Tier in "Miracle," the method of class advancement is not a secret. What truly hinders his class advancement is his level, as Sean has discovered that gaining experience in this real world is not easy. In the game, he could gain experience by killing wolves and wild dogs, but here, he can only fill his stomach and gain no experience.

On the contrary, the small tasks he did to earn money and the various missions he and Cecilia took on provided him with some experience. After completing the "Wandering Darkness" mini-dungeon, he gained a large amount of experience, which made him wonder if the only way to gain experience was through missions. However, this thought was quickly dispelled when he realized that he gained experience from killing zombies and black knights in the ruins.

After some more thought, Sean couldn't figure out the pattern and decided to let it go, believing in the principle that "everything will fall into place."

...

The next day.

Before dawn, Sean woke Cecilia up. After tidying up, the two left the small village.

This village, in the game "Miracle," became a favorite spot for low-level players after the "Wandering Darkness" dungeon opened and gradually developed into a bustling town. However, on the Miracle Continent, the "Wandering Darkness" has been resolved by Sean and Cecilia, and this village cannot be repeatedly cleared like in the game. Therefore, it is unlikely to become a bustling town, as it lacks any special products.

However, this might actually be a good thing for the village.

Due to its remote location, the Seville region has never been a prosperous place. The lord of this region, Viscount Damien, has never paid much attention to it, and the villagers can still live without the burden of heavy taxes.

After completing the "Wandering Darkness" and killing the black knight, Sean's level increased from 10 to 12, just a little short of reaching level 13. However, because he had used a lot of proficiency points before, even after reaching level 12, he only had five proficiency points left.

For players in "Miracle," not using all proficiency points is a common practice. Although the Miracle Continent is a real world, Sean still retains his initial player mindset. After a year of various practices, Sean is well aware that the advantages of using proficiency points only when necessary are far greater than using them all at once, as he did with the Blade Steal skill.

By having just a slight edge in attributes over the black knight, he successfully stole Charles' sword.

If he had used all his proficiency points earlier, he wouldn't have been able to steal Charles' sword so easily.

After leaving the village, Sean and Cecilia walked on a small path toward the nearest town, Hadas. Although it is the closest town to the village, it takes about three days to walk there. Cecilia, naturally, was quite unhappy about this. She thought they should at least have some means of transportation, even if they couldn't afford a carriage, they should have a horse. However, reality is harsh, and Sean can't afford a horse yet.

Although the Serian Kingdom is a prosperous and powerful kingdom, not all its lands are fertile.

The Seville region, for example, is a relatively underdeveloped area.

Its lord, Viscount Damien, has no interest in developing the region and only focuses on extracting wealth from the people. Fortunately, he understands the principle of not over-exploiting his resources, so the people can at least survive, but prosperity is unlikely. Sean, living here, naturally doesn't have much money. He hasn't left this area because it was the best place for players below the 2nd Tier to operate in the game.

Therefore, Sean won't consider changing regions until he reaches the 2nd Tier class.

On the way back, Sean and Cecilia chatted and laughed, making the journey less monotonous. The village wasn't very wealthy, so Sean didn't take much when he left. However, they occasionally saw some game on the path, so they didn't have to eat dry rations the whole way, and their meals were somewhat improved.

After two days of travel, Sean and Cecilia rested in a forest near the path on the second night.

They would reach Hadas town in one more day. Sean rented a small house there, which was not large but very clean. When Sean didn't have any missions, Cecilia would clean the house, while Sean handled all the heavy work. Despite the hardships, which were somewhat at odds with Cecilia's noble background, this life was indeed very warm and cozy.

While roasting a rabbit by the fire, Sean smiled and said to Cecilia, "Stop complaining. When we get back, I'll fill a large tub of water for you to bathe in as much as you want."

"Hmph." Cecilia snorted, "Can you trust a liar's words?"

Sean chuckled and decided not to respond, knowing that children's moods can change quickly.
