If those were his intentions, there’s no way he’d treat him to anmitsu, or pet him like this just because he was frightened. When he saw Touya’s puzzled reaction, Kiri burst into laughter as if he were amused somehow.

“Right. I’ll stop then……no matter what I do, I get the feeling you’d just think I’m grooming you anyway.”

Well, you can groom if you like……Touya thought, but suddenly there was a voice from behind the sliding door.

“Kiri. Do you have a moment? It’s me.”

“Mimizuku, huh.”

Kiri turned toward the sliding door. It seemed like the person Suzu said was looking for Kiri had shown up. Mimizuku? Since there were cat youkai here, Touya shouldn’t have been surprised by anything else, but when he heard Mimizuku speak, all he could imagine in his head was a creature with flapping wings. It certainly gave him a surreal feeling. This Mimizuku had a slightly husky voice.

“It’s urgent. I heard from Suzu that you brought a cute little kitten here, and you’re with him in this room. You bought him some anmitsu, and knowing you, you haven’t started to undress him yet, right? You’re taking your time, right?”

The shaking of the sliding door was becoming more and more violent. It must have been his wings, or sharp beak beating against it. His mind was imagining completely some sort of bird youkai. Touya shuddered.
