Of course Touya didn’t know what a soul eater was, but when he heard it could take on the form of what it ate, he felt a little concerned. He didn’t think it was possible, but could he have anything to do with those soul eaters……?

“What sort of youkai are soul eaters? Do you know anything else about them?”

Natsuki and Akio faced each other then shook their heads.

“Nuh-uh.”

“—Right, wait a moment.”

Akio got down from Touya’s lap then went from his kitten form back to a cat-eared child.

“I’ll bring a reference book for anything you may want to know, Touya.”

Akio rushed out of the room, and Natsuki changed from his kitten form back to his child form before chasing after him. He had thought it was strange before as well, but whenever Natsuki and Akio changed back into their human forms, they were always wearing clothes. Of course, whenever they were cats they weren’t wearing anything. He wasn’t sure how it worked, but it seemed as though all the ayakashi in this world wore clothes that were made of a fabric woven with spiritual energy that gave it transformative properties. Clothes were like magical items with spiritual energy. Natsuki and Akio always wore such cute clothes, but apparently they were custom made to “suit Kiri-sama’s preferences”.
