Akio and Natsuki grabbed onto his legs. Mimizuku lost his balance and fell onto the tatami.

“Take that!”

They both sat on his back and started swinging their little fists at him.

“Don’t do that.”

Touya tried to stop them. However, both Mimizuku who was being crushed and the two on top of his back were smiling. It seemed like no matter how hateful they were talking to each other, they actually got along.

“Enough, get off. I’m getting up.”

When Mimizuku got up, Natsuki and Akio shook his arms.

“Hey, hey, Mimizuku. Where’s Kiri-sama? He hasn’t come back?”

“Huh? It’s going to take more time. I had something I needed to do, so I came back. I was told to come check in on you guys.”

Kiri hadn’t come back yet. He still had things he wanted to ask him.

“I see.”

Natsuki and Akio said with disappointment in their voices. Mimizuku laughed when he noticed Touya next to them with his ears lowered.

“Don’t make such a lonely face. Why don’t you just study your Youkai Dictionary while you wait?”

Getting the feeling he was teasing him, Touya glared at Mimizuku petulantly.

“Now, now.”

Mimizuku shook his head.

“I’m not making fun of you. That book those shorties gave you comes in handy when I’m doing jobs in the human world. Even though these are just the creatures humans imagined as the different types of youkai, you can use it as a reference as to how humans see us ayakashi……for example, the youkai most similar to us in this book would be the nekomata, but we’re not quite the same. But, well, now we know they see us as something like that.”
