7/22 This is my first post today.

Pant... Pant... Pant...

"Got it!"

-- *Splat*

The Poison Mouse in front of me collapses, its belly torn open.

[You have obtained [Poison Resistance] Level 7]

"Yesss!!"

While confirming the skill level-up announcement, I quickly decapitated it, slit its belly with a knife, extracted the magic stone, and also removed its tail.

It's been about 10 days since then.

Even if I could get information about other people from other worlds, it wouldn't change what I have to do.

In the end, whether it rained or there was a strong wind, I continued hunting from morning till night without a break, and finally obtained the long-desired [Poison Resistance] Level 7.

Suppressing my excitement, I lifted myself up with a stone pillar created by [Earth Magic], and while munching on a sandwich in a safe area, I checked my status screen.

(Th-This is amazing...)

The increase in value at Skill Level 7 was so significant that I almost had to chew it over in my mind.

I was surprised by the 30-point increase at Level 6, but at Level 7, it was a 60-point increase.

It was worth the effort.

I had been measuring the skill experience points frequently, and it took about 5 kills to increase by 1% from Level 6 to Level 7.

Since the decimal points below 1% are not displayed, this is just an estimate, but if we assume that the experience points needed to obtain Skill Level 1 is '100', the relationship between skills and experience points is roughly as follows:

Experience points needed to obtain Skill Level 1: 100

Experience points gained from a Skill Level 1 monster: 20 per kill

Experience points needed to go from Skill Level 1 to 2: 200

Experience points needed to go from Skill Level 2 to 3: 600

Experience points needed to go from Skill Level 3 to 4: 2,000

Experience points gained from a Skill Level 4 monster: 400 per kill

Experience points needed to go from Skill Level 4 to 5: 20,000

Experience points needed to go from Skill Level 5 to 6: 60,000

Experience points needed to go from Skill Level 6 to 7: 200,000

From this, I can probably predict that for Skill Levels 2 and 3, the experience points gained from monsters are about one-fifth of the required experience points.

By quantifying this, it becomes clear how important it is to have high-level skills on monsters.

Especially if a weak monster has a particularly high skill level, it's like a bonus time, a great opportunity to boost your stats significantly.

However, the question is whether I should aim for [Poison Resistance] Level 8...

At this rate, it will probably take a month, so I should probably go to the Rurubu Forest and fight some Orcs to see how effective my defense is.

My defense is already at a combined 150 in my stats.

With the hardness of armor added, if it still hurts, I'll have to retreat to the Locker Plain for more grinding.

(Still, I've acquired a lot of skills...)

Some were obtained or targeted for level-up, while others were acquired unintentionally while hunting, but the more skills I acquire, the more excited I get.

[Fire Magic] leveled up to 2 without me realizing it, as I was casting a finger match that only costs 2 mana whenever I had spare mana.

[Increased Maximum Mana] and [Increased Mana Auto-Regeneration] also leveled up because I was consciously using mana, so I think they leveled up as a side effect.

This is in line with what Paiser said.

And the delightful [Sword Mastery] is a result of my daily efforts. I was just using a sword to kill them, and it leveled up. If it hadn't, I would have been in trouble.

[Short Sword Mastery] was a surprise because I hadn't been conscious of it.

I was using a knife to extract magic stones and cut off parts, but I thought it would be judged as [Dissection], so it was a lucky acquisition.

[Far Sight] and [Field of Vision Expansion] came from searching for monsters in the vast Locker Plain.

[Arithmetic] and [Memory] came from measuring the experience points gained per kill and calculating how many more kills were needed.

[Swift Running] came from running as much as possible while moving.

I can understand why I acquired these, but I'm not sure about [Provocation], [Rage], and [Exploration].

[Provocation] was used when I lured multiple Poison Mice, but I don't remember doing much waiting and luring.

By the time I got used to it, I was just charging in whenever I found a monster, so I'm not sure what conditions led to its acquisition.

And the most mysterious is [Rage]... a skill that sounds dangerous just by its name.

Here's the detailed description:

[Rage] Lv1: After use, all normal attack actions receive a 120% limited bonus. However, until the time limit expires, you cannot perform any actions other than normal attacks on nearby creatures. Usage time limit: 1 minute. Mana cost: 0

No way, that's too scary...

It's like a berserker state.

Since it's a combat active skill with a 1-minute usage time, it seems safe to use in the Locker Plain, but in lower-level hunting grounds, it's unnecessary...

The fact that it costs 0 mana is the only redeeming quality, but it's a skill I have no idea how to use.

I haven't even experimented with it once because I'm too scared.

If I used it in the middle of Bezart, it would be a disaster.

Another unexpectedly delightful skill was [Exploration].

It's such a good skill that I want to put points into it to level it up. Even at Level 1, it activates a detection function with a 30-meter radius centered on the user.

[Presence Detection] at Level 3 has a 15-meter radius, but it detects all moving objects.

In contrast, [Exploration] allows you to visualize a specific target, like an 'Air Mantid,' and if it's within the detection range, you can naturally find its location. This will be a very useful skill when searching for rare monsters.

Of course, both can be used simultaneously, so in the past few days, I've been using both to efficiently hunt Air Mantids, which has allowed me to level up [Wind Magic] to Level 4 faster than planned.

Hehehe...

Man, I'm getting stronger.

I can really feel it.

The landscape has changed with the stone pillars I've set up, but there's no point in worrying about that.

My own level is almost maxed out in terms of experience bar growth, so I feel like I can handle the Rurubu Forest now.

After today's hunting, I might consult with Amanda.

With that thought, I started the second half of the day's hunting.

I've made the list of currently held skills more readable.
