Returning to Sanwei Hall, it was already nine o'clock at night. Surprisingly, the antique shop next door still had its lights on. Cai Yan had been keeping an eye on the door and, upon seeing Su Tao, hurriedly said, "Doctor Su, you're finally back?"
Su Tao stared at the various "demolish" words sprayed on the door in paint, a look of anger flashing in his eyes. "Someone has been here?"
Cai Yan flicked her hair and said, "This afternoon, the developer brought a group of people over. Seeing that you weren't home, they sprayed some words on the door and told me to pass a message to you, saying that you shouldn't think you can avoid it. Next time, it won't be just words."
Su Tao frowned, feeling frustrated. He hadn't been hiding; he had just gone out to handle some matters. These lawless people, did they think he was afraid of them?
"Have you all signed contracts with them except for Sanwei Hall?" Su Tao's face was as calm as water. Seeing Cai Yan's evasive gaze, he knew there must be more to the story.
Cai Yan gave an awkward smile and said, "The neighbors around here have all pushed Sanwei Hall forward, saying that as long as Sanwei Hall agrees to be demolished, they will too. This is due to the prestige Su Lao had when he was alive. So... will you blame me for not being loyal?"
This street where Sanwei Hall was located was mostly inhabited by old residents, some of whom had been running their shops for decades. Who would want to leave easily? With Sanwei Hall leading the way, once it agreed to be demolished, the other residents would follow suit.
Su Tao realized that the developer was deliberately targeting Sanwei Hall at this stage and sighed, asking, "Do you know where their company is?"
Cai Yan's eyes flashed with surprise, and she frowned, whispering, "What do you want to do? You're not thinking of confronting them head-on, are you?"
"Give me the address. I'll talk to them and try to avoid any conflict." Su Tao thought Cai Yan was quite kind, always thinking of him.
Cai Yan hesitated for a long time and said, "Alright, I'll take you there, but at this time, they're probably all off work."
Young people can be impulsive. Although Su Tao looked weak, she decided to go with him to hold him back if necessary and call the police if things got out of hand to prevent him from getting hurt.
Cai Yan drove a dark blue Polo and brought Su Tao to the building where the developer was located. Su Tao sat quietly in the passenger seat. Cai Yan enjoyed being with Su Tao; on one hand, his appearance was the type she liked, and on the other, his calm and slightly humorous personality gave her a sense of security.
Over the years, many young men had pursued her, but Su Tao gave her a different feeling.
The Hongsheng Building had over thirty floors and was once the tallest building in Hanzhou. Most of it was rented out as office space, with a few restaurants on the ground floor that were already closed. The headquarters of Hongsheng Group was also located here.
When they arrived at the building's lobby, the security guard stopped them and asked, "What are you here for?"
Su Tao calmly said, "I'm here to talk about the demolition. Call your boss out."
The security guard was slightly taken aback, realizing someone was causing trouble. He immediately made a phone call. Five minutes later, a middle-aged man with a scar on his eyebrow and a few others came to the lobby.
"Are you from Sanwei Hall?" the scarred man asked, throwing away the half-smoked cigarette in his hand, his tone aggressive.
"Yes, I want to talk to your boss," Su Tao said, standing close to Cai Yan. Noticing that her hand was trembling, he gently pinched the Laogong point on her palm, which had a calming effect.
Cai Yan blushed, lowering her eyes, her gaze filled with joy and shyness. Su Tao realized his action was too sudden and might have caused her to misunderstand, so he withdrew his hand.
The scarred man saw Su Tao and Cai Yan's interaction and cursed under his breath. "You pretty boy, you've got some guts, flirting with a girl right in front of me." He sneered, "Our boss is busy. If you have anything to say, say it to me."
"I am Su Guangsheng's grandson, the new doctor at Sanwei Hall. I haven't been hiding from you. I hope you apologize for your despicable behavior today," Su Tao said, raising an eyebrow and lowering his voice.
"This kid's got some nerve!" one of the men said.
"Apologize? Are you crazy? How about I give you a few punches to clear your head?" another man chimed in.
The men started to get rowdy...
Cai Yan slowly calmed down and said sternly, "What are you all shouting about? Spraying paint on the door, do you think that's right?"
"You're a pretty girl," the scarred man said, touching the stubble on his lip, "What's the point of being with a pretty boy? Why don't you come with me?" He then leered at Cai Yan's white neck, full chest, and long legs.
Cai Yan thought the scarred man was truly disgusting and said, "Don't be so oily. Call your boss out. Talking to you is useless!"
"Interesting!" The scarred man snapped his fingers, and the three men beside him moved forward in unison, surrounding Su Tao and Cai Yan.
"Only hit the pretty boy... don't touch the girl. She's quite a catch, I want to keep her to see if I'm up to the task." The scarred man leered and looked at Cai Yan's chest, which was rising and falling.
Cai Yan felt a burning sensation on her body; the scarred man's gaze made her very uncomfortable. Her delicate face turned red, and she sensed that the situation was getting out of hand. She quickly turned to Su Tao, worried that he might get hurt.
Su Tao was wearing a white shirt, light blue casual pants, and white sneakers. His hair was slightly long, reaching his ears, and his eyes were clear. His face was as handsome as ever, but upon closer inspection, something was different. His nose was straight and firm, his lips tightly closed, and his eyes had a determined and wild look, making her heart tremble.
The man on Su Tao's right suddenly threw a punch, but then let out a "huh."
It turned out that Su Tao had stepped back, dodging the punch, and at the same time, pointed at the man's armpit. The man let out an "ouch" and fell to the ground, unable to get up.
The scarred man was stunned and was about to kick, but Su Tao turned his body, and his elbow hit the man on the left. The man let out another "ouch" and flew into the wall, lying on the ground unconscious.
The scarred man was shocked and quickly pulled back his foot, pulling out a dagger from his waist. Before he could react, the remaining man, who was over six feet tall, was already lying on the ground, his arm twisted into a pretzel shape.
Three men were defeated in an instant!
The scarred man started to sweat.
Cai Yan stood to the side, completely stunned by what she had just witnessed. She tried to recall what had happened, but it was all a blur because Su Tao's movements were too fast for her to see clearly.
The scarred man realized he had encountered an expert. His hand holding the dagger started to sweat. Su Tao walked directly toward him. The scarred man tried to counterattack, but his wrist went numb, and the dagger fell into Su Tao's hand.
The scarred man was tall and muscular but was easily lifted by Su Tao with one hand, held against the wall. The scarred man saw Su Tao's other hand, holding the dagger, thrust forward with force.
A silver flash, and the scarred man's eyes showed fear. He couldn't breathe, and his face turned purple. The dagger was stuck in the wall, just grazing his face, causing a burning sensation and the skin to peel.
The scarred man felt a warm stream below him. Although it was a short moment, he had been scared so much that he wet himself. The moment the dagger came at him, he felt as if he had narrowly escaped death.
"Where is your boss?" Su Tao let go of the scarred man, who fell to the ground, gasping for breath, and asked.
"He wouldn't get involved in such a small matter," the scarred man managed to say.
"Tell me where he is, don't dodge the question," Su Tao said, kicking him in the chest.
The scarred man felt a tremendous force, as if his ribs were shattered. He then hit the wall and fell limply, losing consciousness.
This guy had been kicked to the point of being incapacitated. However, Su Tao had deliberately held back, so he was not in mortal danger.
"What do we do now?" Cai Yan hadn't expected Su Tao to handle four men so effortlessly and didn't know how to describe her current feelings.
Everything that had just happened was too shocking. She had intended to hold Su Tao back to prevent him from getting hurt, but she hadn't expected such strength from this seemingly weak man.
Su Tao saw Cai Yan's anxious expression, smiled easily, and shrugged, saying, "I guess their boss isn't here. Asking them won't help."
Cai Yan cleared her throat, looking at the scarred man, who looked like a dead dog, and suddenly felt a bit of sympathy.
Su Tao thought for a moment and said to the security guard, who was standing to the side, trembling, "Give them a message. If they want to demolish, have their boss talk to me face-to-face. No more underhanded tactics."
Matters in the underworld need to be resolved with underworld methods. Su Tao had no choice but to take matters into his own hands.
Of course, he knew that the developer's boss, Nie Weiting, wouldn't easily show up unless absolutely necessary.
...
On the east bank of the Hanzhou Canal, Jintai Bay was a famous wealthy area. Those who could afford to live here were all successful people with assets worth over a hundred million. In a villa, Nie Weiting was swaying a glass of red wine, looking through the glass wall at two women lying on a round bed.
They were entangled on the bed. When the woman on top used her tongue to gently touch the red button on the chest of the woman below, the woman below couldn't resist and her body writhed like a snake. Their four long legs were crossed in an X, and the woman on top took the lead, gently thrusting her hips. The woman below bit her red lip, her eyes hazy, her toes straight, and she let out soft moans...
Seeing this, Nie Weiting couldn't help but breathe heavily.
—This was Nie Weiting's special fetish.
His phone rang, and Nie Weiting frowned in dissatisfaction. He answered, and his assistant's low voice came through, "Boss, we've run into a hard case. Sanwei Hall refuses to be demolished, and our people were beaten up."
"Beaten up?" Nie Weiting put down his wine glass, puzzled, "Su Guangsheng is dead. There shouldn't be anyone else at Sanwei Hall."
"That person is Su Guangsheng's grandson, a tough one. He came to provoke us. The security guard reported that Scarface and the others had no chance to fight back." The assistant laughed bitterly, "We sent Scarface and the others to the hospital, but the orthopedic doctors there are at a loss. The person used special techniques to break their bones, and only experienced orthopedic doctors can treat them."
Nie Weiting pondered for a moment, surprised that the refined Su Guangsheng had a grandson who was so capable. He sighed, "That old alley must be taken. Tomorrow, send Mo Dong. A thousand days of training, one day of use."
The assistant nodded and said, "I'll notify him right away!"
Mo Dong was a hired enforcer for Hongsheng Group, known in the underworld as "Mo Tiger." He started practicing Wing Chun at the age of eight and later switched to Baguazhang. He could easily handle ten strong men with his bare hands.
In his younger days, Nie Weiting had made many enemies in the underworld. After entering the business world and retiring from the underworld, he still had people constantly finding him. Mo Dong was one of the experts he hired to handle special affairs.
After hanging up the phone, Nie Weiting sighed. The old alley had long been approved by the government for redevelopment into a commercial square. If they had demolished it directly at the time, the cost would have been only one-third of what it is now.
Even if they demolished the old alley now, the indirect loss would be close to a hundred million. He had already invested all his assets in this project and could not afford to fail.
Initially, he had delayed the demolition to repay Su Guangsheng's kindness.
Since Su Guangsheng was no longer alive, Nie Weiting had no emotional ties to the others, and the demolition of the old alley was inevitable.
