Chapter 18

After clearing the Dream Dungeon.
The sun was still high in the sky, but I thought it might be good to call it a day sometimes, so I went home.
When I checked my status in my room, I noticed some unfamiliar text.
"A title, Dungeon Conqueror?"
It referred to the new line in my status: "Title: Dungeon Conqueror (1/10)."
I was already familiar with titles.
They were awarded for things like defeating a certain number of beast or bird-type monsters, using the same weapon for a long period, or casting healing spells on many adventurers.
By clearing specific conditions, you could earn titles that granted various benefits, such as increased attack power or improved magic efficiency.
However, only a small fraction of adventurers could earn titles.
Mostly, they were B-rank or higher.
As expected, I had never earned a title before.
This was my first time.
I started reading the description of the Dungeon Conqueror title.
Conquering a dungeon meant clearing it the required number of times.
By repeating this and exceeding a certain number, you would receive benefits.
The description ended there.
It didn't specify what benefits would be granted.
So, this probably means...
"The (1/10) after Dungeon Conqueror means 10 is the specific number, and 1 is the number of dungeons I've conquered, right? I won't receive any benefits until I conquer at least 10 dungeons. It's a long road ahead..."
However, I was genuinely happy to have a new goal.
I was already repeatedly clearing dungeons to level up.
Knowing that there was something to gain beyond leveling up made me even more motivated.
"If I can conquer any dungeon, maybe I'll go for the Shion Dungeon next? It's a bit disappointing that clearing it only gives one level up, but it's easy to clear, so I should be able to conquer it quickly."
I had decided on my future strategy.
The only thing left to do was to allocate the SP I earned today...
"Ah, I can't do it, I'm so sleepy. I'll go to bed first."
It had been about 10 days since I awakened the dungeon transfer ability.
I had been clearing dungeons non-stop.
The tension from conquering the Dream Dungeon had finally snapped.
I slept soundly until the next morning.
"Ugh, I slept well."
After stretching on the bed, I went to the living room, and Hana, who was in the kitchen, looked at me with a "Huh?"
"Big brother, you finally woke up? I thought you were dead because I couldn't wake you up no matter what."
"Sorry, I was pretty tired. What? This breakfast looks unusually fancy."
"What are you talking about? It's the leftovers from last night's dinner. I put a lot of effort into it, but you didn't eat it... sniff sniff."
"What a transparent fake cry... I'm sorry. Itadakimasu."
The breakfast was quite heavy, but since I hadn't eaten last night's dinner, it went down smoothly.
"By the way, big brother, if you were that tired to sleep for more than half a day, isn't being an adventurer really tough?"
"Hmm? Yeah, it's tough, but this time it wasn't because of that. I was making good progress in the dungeon and forgot how tired I was, so I overworked myself."
"Hmm, you should take a break sometimes. Hey! Big brother, do you have any plans today?"
"No, I don't have any urgent plans, but I was planning to go to the dungeon."
"Didn't you hear what I just said? Take a break sometimes."
"Ugh... You're right."
Hana was right; I had been pushing myself lately.
Maybe I should take a break and rest.
Still, for Hana to be so concerned about my health...
I was touched.
Right after I was moved, Hana smiled broadly.
"Good job for taking a break! So, how about accompanying me shopping today, big brother?"
"Return the favor."
You're not letting me rest at all.
I was genuinely surprised.
But thinking about it, it had been a while since I went out with Hana.
Maybe it would be good to do that sometimes.
While I was thinking, Hana was looking at me with hopeful eyes.
"Alright, I'll go with you."
"Thank you! That's the big brother I know."
So, I ended up going shopping with Hana.
It's a date!
