-- Skill Imitation
By chance, Hana also obtained a unique skill, just like me.
When Hana heard my mutterings, she said, looking a bit perplexed,
"A unique skill, isn't that a skill that no one else has? I heard they often have incredibly powerful effects."
"Yeah, though there are exceptions sometimes."
For example, pre-awakening dungeon teleportation.
"The issue is what kind of effect this unique skill has. Let's check it out."
"Okay, got it!"
Hana and I looked at the effects of Skill Imitation together. It read as follows:
----------------------------------------
Skill Imitation LV1
Condition: By directly touching the target, copy skills of LV1 or lower that the target possesses.
Number of Skills Imitable: Up to 1 type
Imitation Duration: Up to 10 minutes (can be extended by touching again)
----------------------------------------
"Wow."
As I had expected from the name, it had an incredibly powerful effect. What is this, a cheat?
Currently, it can only copy skills of LV1 or lower, with a maximum of 1 type and a maximum duration of 10 minutes, but I'm sure these limits will increase as the Skill Imitation skill level goes up. Unlike my dungeon teleportation, which has a fixed effect, this one seems to double in power with each level increase, making it a straightforward type.
What's even more amazing is that the condition for copying depends on the skill level. From this description, it seems there are no restrictions like being able to copy only lower-level skills and not higher-level ones. The thought of being able to handle high-level skills even at a level below 100 is terrifying. Normally, high-level skills can't be obtained until you reach over 1000 levels.
Of course, when it comes to high-level skills, the required MP increases, so they might not be usable at lower levels. However, there are skills that don't use MP, and some that have conditions like using a certain percentage of your MP. If you copy the right ones, you should be able to use them effectively.
Moreover, Hana will be able to maximize her potential in a party. With the understanding of the party, she can borrow members' skills and, depending on the situation, function as an additional swordsman, tank, or mage.
"No, it's not just that."
At this point, I had a crazy idea. The idea was to have Hana copy my dungeon teleportation and level up with me. Frankly, it would be a parasitic relationship, but I value Hana more than any rules, so personally, I see no problem with it.
However, this will only be possible when the level limit for Skill Imitation exceeds that of dungeon teleportation. Currently, dungeon teleportation is at LV14, and I plan to keep leveling it up, so it might never be possible to copy it. But it's a possibility we should keep in mind. The day might come when the level limit is removed.
While I was thinking about this, Hana was deep in thought, saying "Hmm."
"Hey, big brother, is this good or bad?"
"Well, if we publicize this power, you'll be recruited by every guild in Japan immediately. It's that serious."
"Really!? It's that powerful a skill... Hmm, but even though the skill itself is great, I don't want to get into trouble because of it."
Anyone who wants to gain fame as an adventurer would be overjoyed, but it seems Hana is different.
"So, you don't really want to be an active adventurer? And why did you even want to become an adventurer in the first place? For accident prevention?"
"That's a secret! It's so mean of you to try to pry into a girl's privacy, big brother!"
"Wow."
I received an unfair scolding. But an angry Hana is cute in her own way.
"However, if that's the case, it might be better to keep Skill Imitation a secret when reporting our status to the Katagiri group. There's a risk it could spread widely. We should only tell people we trust about this skill."
"But, is that even possible? We might have to show our status when reporting."
"Hmm, that's true... Wait a minute."
I had an idea and grinned, saying,
"I have a good solution. Let's try it out as an experiment for Skill Imitation."
