In the back door bookstore of the school, Lin Mu was sorting through the magazines, flipping through them one by one.
However, it was clear that most of the magazines were primarily focused on entertainment and did not cover short stories about national history at all.
Rubbing his temples, Lin Mu shook his head and walked out of the bookstore.
"Did I make a mistake? I wasted 20,000 reputation points. I remember in my previous life, this divine article was initially published online, and later it didn't even come out as a physical book. It seems I should buy a computer first and publish it online."
As he was thinking, Lin Mu suddenly noticed that the students around him were pointing and whispering about him.
"Hey, did you hear? About what happened last night?" a girl whispered to her companion.
"How could I not know? I didn't expect Lin Mu, who usually seems so reserved, to be so fierce in a fight. He took on six people and sent them all to the hospital! If it weren't for the students living on that street, who could have imagined it!"
"Yeah, yeah, chattering..."
...
Lin Mu looked at them strangely, completely unaware that the news of his fight last night had already spread throughout the school by mid-morning.
Wang Peng was just a small-time thug with only four or five underlings, but with such a lineup and a fierce attitude, he was already considered a "little thug" among the students, with a significant deterrent effect.
The fight Lin Mu had with them last night was so loud that the students living on both sides of the street saw it clearly.
"Lin Mu! Come here!"
As soon as he sat down in the classroom in the afternoon, Shang Zhicheng, who had heard the news, called Lin Mu out directly.
Frowning, Lin Mu put away the manuscript he was writing and went to the office again.
"You're quite something now! You dared to fight with those young thugs. I heard they were subdued, and you even broke their bones!" Shang Zhicheng glared at him coldly.
To him, students should be obedient, study hard, and not cause trouble. That way, they would look like proper students.
Fighting? What's the difference between that and the small-time thugs on the street?
Lin Mu felt annoyed and retorted, "They came to me first. If I had held back, would you want me to end up in the hospital, Teacher Shang?"
"Bang!"
Shang Zhicheng slammed his hand on the table, furious. "I'm asking why you broke their arms in the end! You're so aggressive! Are you here to study or to fight?"
Suppressing his anger, Lin Mu didn't bother to argue further. This kind of teacher viewed students as sheep that should only obey. Even if he had a good reason, in Shang Zhicheng's eyes, it would be seen as a challenge to his authority!
Seeing that Lin Mu was no longer speaking, Shang Zhicheng thought he had intimidated him and began to scold him continuously.
At first, Lin Mu endured it, considering the teacher-student relationship.
But later, seeing that the other party had no intention of stopping and was treating him like a three-year-old, his anger grew. His fists clenched, he was about to smash the table and leave!
If it came to that, he wouldn't continue this school!
To suffer such humiliation for no reason!
Just as he was about to explode, a soft hand grabbed his arm.
"Hehe, Teacher Shang, you've been scolding him for so long. He should have learned his lesson. How about it, I need to go get our educational newspapers. Can I borrow him for a moment to carry the newspapers?"
Lin Mu recognized the voice and the scent as his English teacher, Susan.
Susan was only in her mid-twenties but had excellent character, high education, and was very beautiful. Although she had only been at the school for one or two years, the other teachers didn't ignore her words.
Shang Zhicheng didn't say anything. He had noticed Lin Mu's increasingly agitated mood and the clenched fists. He was used to scolding students, but for the sake of his face, he didn't stop.
Teenagers can be impulsive and unruly. Facing Lin Mu's fierce gaze, he felt a bit intimidated.
Susan laughed lightly and directly grabbed Lin Mu's arm, leading him to the main office building.
"Feeling upset?" Her almond-shaped eyes, full of laughter, looked at Lin Mu sideways.
That moment of charm made Lin Mu's mouth dry, and his anger dissipated somewhat.
"Don't think about it. You did the right thing. Teacher Shang has been teaching for a lifetime and doesn't understand the outside world. Don't blame him. How about it, are the problems solved?" Susan loosened her hand and walked alongside Lin Mu, comforting him.
Lin Mu thought for a moment and nodded. "Solved. Even if there are still some small problems, there are always ways to solve them."
Susan hummed in agreement and, seeing the office building, stopped talking.
In the office, the floor was covered with new newspapers. Lin Mu glanced at them, and they were all names like "Provincial Education News" and "City Public News."
"Ah, being a teacher, the salary is already low, and every month, money is automatically deducted to buy these lousy newspapers. It's infuriating!" Susan clearly wasn't happy to see the newspapers.
Lin Mu understood her. These provincial and city newspapers were not bought by anyone in the market. They were usually forcibly distributed to government agencies and school teachers, causing great distress.
If it were just about spending money on a newspaper, it would be fine, but these newspapers were full of short essays, stories of good deeds, and motivational articles.
Not to mention, they often received dozens of identical newspapers, which could only be used to pad tables when taken home.
Thinking about this, Lin Mu felt a bit of schadenfreude towards Shang Zhicheng's plight. Seeing that Susan was counting the newspapers with the responsible person, he picked up a copy of "City Education News" and started reading.
Glancing through it, he saw essays written by teachers and students, as well as social commentary by newspaper staff.
Suddenly, an idea struck him. "Our Journey, the Stars and the Sea" would be perfect for this kind of newspaper!
The engaging text and clear, simple animal illustrations could be accurately expressed in the newspaper.
But he didn't know if this newspaper accepted submissions from the public.
"Teacher Susan, do these newspapers accept student submissions?" Lin Mu asked directly.
The responsible female teacher looked up at Lin Mu and chuckled. "Are you interested, classmate? A few of our literature class teachers often get published in the newspaper. If you want to try, you have a chance. Be bold, young man!"
Lin Mu didn't hear anything else, feeling reassured. He smiled.
Seeing that the handover would take a while, Lin Mu entered his memory palace to review the content inside.
"Hey! How did my reputation points go over 60,000?"
