Spring of year 43221, Interstellar Calendar.
The glow from the floating island lit the night sky. Drifting clouds beneath the island enhanced the view, making it even more spectacular. Then, a few dazzling comets streaked across the sky, passing over a building before disappearing thousands of miles away.
A diamond-shaped building was suspended in the middle of the island. It was Celta Planet’s Central Military Deployment Building.
At that moment, it was in pure chaos.
“The Fifth Special Forces Army is ready! Quick! Turn on the defense system!”
“The Hongkun Nation sank cruise ship 011, planet A654QW had a nuclear explosion, and more than half of the Second Corps are either dead or injured.”
“Marshal! The signal from the admiral’s mecha disappeared! The nuclear explosion opened a black hole near him. The admiral is likely to have been caught up in it and died…”
“What?! How could Lu Xiaoqi have possibly…”
Over a distant, primitive planet, a flash of light appeared.
Boom!
In the lush green grass, a small furry head with black ears and dark eyes poked his head. He looked around uncertainly.
What, what had happened?!
Mo Gungun’s tiny, fur-covered body couldn’t help but shrink down again, shivering from the sudden gust of wind and sand that blew past. His four little limbs tightly gripped his purple bamboo sprouts. He raised his round face and cautiously sniffed the air as his black ears twitched slightly. No terrible monsters were spotted in the vicinity, allowing the small, fearful animal to let out a sigh of relief.
He then picked up his bamboo shoots and peered into the small tree hole, feeling tangled.
He originally intended to hide his bamboo shoots in there and slowly eat them, but its’ delicious fragrance assaulted his nose. He held his breath. He subconsciously licked his nose, still wanting to eat them.
He could eat them slowly; or, he could eat a little right now.
As he was debating over it, the little panda accidentally tripped over a stone. As he tripped, Mo Gungun clutched his bamboo sprouts and became a black-and-white ball as he rolled into the hole in the tree.
Thump.
Mo Gungun rolled a dizzying 7 to 8 feet before stopping, still clinging to his bamboo shoots.
His short tail was only a pinch of off-white colored fur. It was now conspicuous as he laid on his belly.
Where is this, the little panda thought to himself as he laid flat.
Well, since he was here, he might as well eat a little…. Just a little. Mo Gungun stood up with his stubby legs and brought the bamboo sprouts closer towards him. He then peeled off the outer skin and bit it.
Wu! It was so delicious, so sweet!
As a panda, Mo Gungun was easy to please. Mo Gungun took another bite and blinked in delight. These shoots tasted a hundred times better than his treasured bamboo shoots from his past life! If only he could eat them all the time…..
Thinking of this, Mo Gungun’s mood lowered, his eyes filling with depression and unease.
His last life was painful.
Being skinned hurt.
In fact, Mo Gungun didn’t know how he appeared here.
In his past life, he was searching for food in a bamboo forest when he was caught by terrible monsters. He didn’t understand it very well, but he vaguely remembered the monsters saying phrases such as, “Sell it alive..…” and “Boss, customs! Flay and hide it…..”
Then, he was skinned alive.
The cramped space he was filled with smoke. Amidst the pain, he only remembered the red liquid flowing into his eyes as the world blurred.
He then became unconscious.
He never got the chance to eat the tender shoots he hid beneath some small stones.
Mo Gungun bit hard into the shoot. A refreshing and sweet flavor filled his mouth. Although it was a pity he didn’t get to eat the newly sprouted bamboo that he hid in his last life, the bamboo shoots that he was currently eating made him happy.
He was content.
Mo Gungun‘s round, black ears twitched. After eating a whole bamboo sprout, he licked his paws. He rolled on the ground twice, unknowingly causing a few leaves to stick to his back before he slowly walked towards a small lake.
There was sweet water there!
He had been in this new world for more than 20 days. Ever since he had arrived, he had made this small plot of land his own. The food in his new home was more abundant and tastier than his previous territory. Mo Gungun’s chubby little body swayed as he walked through the woods. Every day he got to eat delicious food and drink sweet water. Mo Gungun was very satisfied with his new residence.
Today however, when he arrived at the edge of the lake, he did not see the rippling clear water he was accustomed to. Instead, he saw a lake that was five times its original size.
A large and lustrous monster sat in the lake, it’s unclear image covered in the shadows.
What, what is this?
Facing the wreckage of a mecha, Mo Gungun was puzzled.
Suddenly, a frigid gale blew. He inhaled, the cold sensation rushing towards his heart. Then, he saw a black mist coming towards him.
Scared out of his wits, Mo Gungun scrambled up the nearest tree.
The usually slow-moving furball exploded with great potential. In the blink of an eye, he was already more than 10 meters above ground. When he looked back, he was faced with a translucent red head with a pair of fierce bull eye’s glaring at him, as if it wanted to eat him alive.
Mo Gungun’s fur stood on end. He was so scared he nearly peed.
“Die! Go to hell! Drop dead insect!! Admiral, be careful!” The suspended head opened its mouth, and it’s eyes dyed scarlet.
Mo Gungun stiffened. “Mmm!”
His cheeks felt cold, causing him to sneeze. Then…..
The translucent head that was rushing towards him turned into mist.
A breeze blew through and the black mist dispersed.
How, how terrible! Mo Gungun held the tree trunk tightly, trembling. His dark eyes started watering, feeling very wronged.
He didn’t know if he saw a ghost, but there was a large terrible monster and a smaller panda-eating monster in this new area.
Shivering, Mo Gungun looked at the lake with fear. But, he was still thirsty.
The little round eye bags under his eyes seemed to be growing. Mo Gungun clutched onto the tree like a koala, hesitating.
The monster scared the panda to death, but his throat was very dry. He was just going to drink water, just a little.
Encouraged by this thought, Mo Gungun slowly climbed down the tree and rolled into the grass. He carefully stared at the large monster in the lake, ready to flee at a moment’s notice if he saw it move.
He waited patiently for nearly an hour, but there were no signs of that terrible monster. Then, he made up his mind. The panda discreetly walked closer to the edge of the lake, drank a mouthful of water, then quickly turned around and fled. His short legs carried him a distance away before he hid in a bush. There, a pair of dark eyes observed the situation for a while from the shadows as he confirmed the success of his strategy for water replenishment.
Mo Gungun grew more confident.
After a few more rounds of this, the panda was finally satiated. Panting, he collapsed under the bush, laying on the ground like a salted fish.
Mo Gungun looked at the monster again. The panda became curious.
Was it dead?
Just as thought about it, the monster’s stomach burst open, ejecting an elliptical object. Mo Gungun saw the object make a perfect parabola in the air and fall to the ground in two pieces, like a broken egg. On the ground was an egg white, and there was even a funny shaped yolk…..
Monster!!
The panda was so terrified he somersaulted. He lifted his head and stared at the yolk monster for two seconds. After confirming that he saw correctly, he turned on tail and ran away in fear.
Oh heavens, it was a skin-peeling monster!
It wanted to kill pandas!
Mo Gungun ran back to his small tree hole. The small panda pushed a stone to block the hole. He then hid in a corner, shrinking into a ball.
The planet’s weather was constantly changing. A moment ago it was still clear and sunny, but the next moment, there were dark clouds hinting thunder and lightning.
After a while, heavy rain fell.
The sound of rain drops were heard as the world turned foggy. The air became fresh as the rain dispelled the stench of blood.
Squatting at the entrance of the tree hole, Mo Gungun held onto the bamboo shoots that he had previously hidden, eating while observing the area.
Raindrops beat down on leaves, emitting unique syllables. It was a gift from nature.
Mo Gungun was very fond of rain, especially the period after it finished raining. That was when he would actively search for delicious bamboo shoots that had just sprouted. Under the cover of rain, it was safer to look for food. Mo Gungun thought he was a clever panda. He picked up a large leaf to collect rainwater and prepared to slowly drink it.
It took five days and nights for the rain to stop.
Mo Gungun’s belly was bloated and round. He shook his fluffy and soft fur. His four tiny paws marched towards the lake under the morning sun.
After such a long time, the monster should be gone.
After five days of trepidation, Mo Gungun decided to secretly observe the situation, in case he needed to escape. But when he reached his water source, reality shattered his expectations. The large monster was still there, and the yolk monster also maintained the same appearance as before he had ran away, except its whole body was drenched.
The panda quickly estimated that the yolk monster was wet because of the rain.
It must be dead.
Mo Gungun didn’t know if it was because he was relaxed or if he was in a trance, but he walked closer towards the body. This was the same kind of monster right?
Huh?
This was… what?
Mo Gungun saw a whip-like tail, something the monsters that had killed him in his last life didn’t have. Maybe they were not the same species. Those monsters didn’t even have tails! They were not as good as him!
But this monster had a very beautiful tail.
The panda sat on the ground, staring at the unknown creature with envious eyes. Mo Gungun then looked at his own short tail. No comparison, no harm.
Mo Gungun wanted to take it for himself.
As he thought about it, the tips of one of the creature’s claws shook slightly.
Huh, did he imagine it?
Mo Gungun stared at the creature intensely. His black pupils quickly scanned up and down its body but didn’t see it move again. He was no longer suspicious.
The monster was covered in dirt. Mo Gungun was a bit curious about what it looked like, so he sprayed some water from a leaf onto his muddy face. The monster who killed him in his last life had a flat face and yellow hair. This one has beautiful silver hair, and was a bit similar to his own.
He stretched out his paw and tried to pull out its tail. The next moment, he saw the man’s eyelids flutter.
Mo Gungun: Σ( ° △°|||)︴
He quickly threw down the tail and desperately ran back to his tree hole. Just as the small ball of fur was fleeing, the handsome and powerful man suddenly opened his eyes.
The sharp phoenix eyes were initially filled with icy killing intent, but the next second, it disappeared.
Lu Xiaoqi’s eyes flickered. The dazed admiral didn’t realize that his eyes were fixed on a chubby buttocks with a small upturned tail in the distance.
The man with deep facial features was stunned for a moment before turning onto his other side. He took in the wreckage of his mecha and the completely destroyed life capsule. He gasped violently, coldness surging in his eyes. He struggled to sit up, but coughed severely and fell back down. His bloody lips tightened into a straight line.
After taking time to observe his surroundings, he stared up at the blue sky, his expression gradually growing grave.
Meanwhile, Mo Gungun had run back to his tree hole in one breath, causing him to collapse. He laid on the ground, paralyzed and panicked. He began to tremble. The monster was alive! What should he do?!

Sora: Marry him, duh
Sora: Hello everyone! This is a project I’ve decided to pick up after seeing many people wanting to read more of it. I have not read ahead, so I’m learning as I go along. A word of caution, I am not proficient in Chinese and for this novel I rely heavily on MTL. There quite possibly may be mistakes. I’m still learning Chinese through classes, but I’ll do my best!
