Boom...
At the moment the fireball hit the sea, an extremely intense shockwave suddenly spread out. As it stirred up a strong current, the water temperature seemed to rise several times over. Lin’s eyes, which were observing the surface of the sea, were instantly scorched by the heat and died.
What was that? Did a star fall from the sky?
Although the team was now hundreds of meters deep in the ocean, all the fish seemed to sense something abnormal. They suddenly started to rush madly to the north, and the originally stable group of swimmers went crazy in an instant.
The armored fish frantically thrashed their bodies, pushing forward, shoving weaker fish aside, and using all their strength to swim north without stopping. The sharks had long vanished, and Lin didn’t know where they had fled to. The real problem was the Dunkleosteus, which used their massive bodies and huge mouths to crash through and tear apart anything that blocked their path. They weren’t doing this to eat, but to get to the front.
The time has come...
Lin’s transporters were hard to move in the midst of the frenzied fish. Several transporters at the back had already been bitten to pieces by the Dunkleosteus, and the smell of blood and cells permeated the entire group. But Lin wasn’t too concerned, because now there was a greater threat...
The sensitive tentacles on the transporters could feel the continuous shockwaves coming from the surface, caused by countless fireballs hitting the sea.
Moreover, Lin could sense an even more intense shockwave coming from a distance, which might be the reason for the fish’s madness.
This shockwave came from the land, possibly caused by a seismic event similar to an earthquake, creating a powerful and extremely fast current that could be described as a shockwave.
Lin quickly calculated that if hit by this strong current, the internal organs might be crushed.
Lin didn’t know how it was formed or why it could spread so far, even in the deep sea far from the land. Was it useless?
The northern continent where Leviathan was located showed no signs of any disturbance, which was why the fish were heading there... Lin now had to make every effort to keep the transporters alive.
Otherwise, the nutrients accumulated over a hundred million years would be wasted.
It’s coming...
Ignoring the frenzied fish, Lin immediately accelerated the hearts of all the transporters, sending a large number of gland cells to the skin to secrete the hardest shell material, completely hardening the outer skin of the transporters!
As the shockwave approached, the entire sea experienced a violent tremor. The arthropods crawling on the seabed stopped their activities and began to dig into the sand, trying to burrow in to avoid it, while the fish swam even more frantically...
It’s here!
The intense shockwave swept through the entire sea in an instant. The bodies of many armored fish were flattened upon impact, and blood and organs spewed out from their gills and mouths. Even the armored heads shattered.
The hardened shells of the transporters also cracked upon impact, and the internal organs were damaged. Although some cells were still alive, they couldn’t move. This only happened to some of the transporters at the back; those at the front didn’t even have their shells cracked.
The shockwave seemed to gradually lose its power, but it had already killed most of the armored fish, and more than half of the Dunkleosteus, which were at the back.
Many arthropods hiding in the sand were also blown out, but their thick armor protected them, and their losses were minimal.
After this series of shockwaves, all the creatures began to move forward at their fastest speed, regardless of the energy cost.
Lin gathered the transporters that had been scattered by the shockwave. There were now only 1,300 left. Many were lost, but Lin couldn’t turn back to recover their bodies.
Because the crisis seemed to have just begun.
As soon as the shockwave passed, the sea began to become restless again. Bubbles emerged from the seabed, and although they seemed non-toxic, their appearance further increased the water temperature, causing many heat-sensitive creatures to die instantly.
The originally massive group of tens of thousands of creatures was now reduced to just a few thousand.
Lin’s transporters couldn’t resist this heat wave either. Although they didn’t die immediately, if this continued...
Full speed ahead!
Lin stopped calculating the energy cost, and all the transporters immediately shed their hardened shells and operated their water jets at full speed to escape the heated area before they were cooked. Although they didn’t know how large the heated area was, they had no choice but to try their hardest.
At this moment, many rocks began to sink from the surface. These rocks were likely the fireballs that had hit the sea and were now sinking to this depth. Some were over ten meters in diameter, while others were only half a meter. In the back of the transporter group, a huge Dunkleosteus was hit by several small rocks and twisted in pain, struggling for a while before collapsing on the seabed.
Lin could feel that each rock was as hot as molten lava.
Suddenly, a massive rock with a diameter of thirty meters fell from above, landing in front of Lin’s transporter group. A few transporters couldn’t stop in time and crashed into the rock.
The extreme heat from the rock instantly killed the cells in the transporters’ skin, and the heat quickly spread throughout their bodies. The transporters died on impact.
Lin lost over a dozen transporters, but there was no time to deal with it. The remaining transporters avoided the rock and continued to rush north!
However, it was difficult to dodge while rushing, and several transporters were hit by the rocks and instantly killed by the heat.
At this moment, Lin felt another vibration coming from a distance...
Is this ever going to end?
No... This is...
Lin realized that this wasn’t a one-time shockwave, and it wasn’t coming from behind but from the deep seabed... An earthquake?
This is an opportunity...!
Thinking this, Lin slowed down the transporters, focusing on dodging the rocks instead of rushing.
There were few armored fish left alive, giving Lin more space. Now, they just had to wait.
The vibrations continued, getting closer and closer...
Boom—!!
The seabed below suddenly shook violently, and the entire area of the seabed rose sharply! As the area rose, the compressed seawater pushed all the creatures upward, and the distance to the surface, which was hundreds of meters, disappeared in an instant. A massive wall of water rushed out of the sea, and Lin’s transporter group and many other creatures were caught in the tsunami.
The vibrations didn’t stop, and another earthquake under the sea pushed the tsunami forward at an incredible speed, faster than anything Lin had ever seen.
The tsunami didn’t last long, but the continuous earthquakes in the area kept the wall of water from dissipating. Riding this massive wave, Lin’s group raced toward the northern continent.
In the tsunami, the transporters couldn’t adjust their bodies, but Lin’s transporters could see the surroundings clearly through the water. The tsunami had already left the area where the fireballs had fallen and was now heading in the direction Lin wanted.
The seabed continued to shake, maintaining the speed of the tsunami and making it grow even higher, possibly over a hundred meters.
The speed of the tsunami was extremely fast, and it would take about two days to reach the northern continent, assuming the earthquakes continued. If the energy from the earthquakes was lost, the tsunami would quickly calm down.
Lin hoped the tsunami would calm down, as they had already left the fireball area. If they were to crash directly into the cliffs of the northern continent... the losses would be significant.
However, as the tsunami moved, the earthquakes seemed to move with it, always occurring below or very close to the tsunami, keeping it from stopping and maintaining its momentum.
After the day and night cycle, Lin’s transporters in the tsunami could already see the distant northern continent.
Leviathan, below the coastal cliffs, also saw the approaching wave. The water around Leviathan seemed to have lowered significantly, and the originally tens-of-meters-high cliffs had become hundreds of meters high, as if all the water had been sucked away by the distant tsunami.
The continuous earthquakes stopped, but the final shock was enough to push the massive wave toward the northern continent!
