Chapter 2 of 9

2 - The Short Story That Was Promised.

4 min read998 words

Usually cold and distant, even called “insensitive” by the gay community, Gu Hao was surprisingly passionate.

.

It was only when Su Yimin picked up their messy clothes on the bed to put them into the laundry basket that he realised Gu Hao came in such a rush, he didn’t even change his clothes. His university uniform was still inside of his black jacket.

When he was not wearing a tie, his university uniform had little difference from a standard shirt. If one did not see the school crest on it, one might have mistaken it for a regular shirt.

Su Yimin looked at the rips he caused in the shirt and furrowed his brows.

How could he have times like these, where he was irrational and out of control?

.

However, when he first decided to woo Gu Hao, his rationality was as good as gone.

Gu Hao was the most handsome guy in University A, famous the minute he stepped into the school as a freshman. Tall and handsome, his figure was even more outstanding in a sea of weak and puny students. His looks was able to capture the hearts of both boys and girls. He might not have been gay, but that didn’t stop people from thinking about him.

Usually, their thoughts stayed in their head, and not many people would make a move on him. After all, Gu Hao’s not only the most handsome boy in the school; he was also the school bully.

His personality was so horrible that it was hard for people to approach him.

Forget about men, it was said that even when the most beautiful girl in school tried her luck with him, she got rejected by his “human repelling” facade.

Because of this, the people in the community often joked that he wasn’t insensitive, but instead, he just lacked any sort of empathy at all.

.

So, even if Su Yimin had the best qualifications, him being the golden top who was loved by all, when he first set his eyes on Gu Hao, there were plenty of people who advised him to give up.

。

After all, no matter how charismatic a person was, when it comes to such an insensitive guy, it was all for nought.

When he started, Su Yimin did not have high expectations; he did not even think that he would be able to get Gu Hao successfully today.

Furthermore, he was so passionate. At such a sight, Su Yimin didn’t have the rationality to care what Gu Hao was wearing, only wanting to devour him then and there.

Su Yimin walked to the toilet, saying apologetically: “Gu Hao, sorry for ripping your school uniform. Do you need it urgently? I’ll help you get a new one, okay?”

Only silence was heard inside, no one replied

Su Yimin walked over, opened the door, and there Gu Hao was, sitting on the toilet bowl smoking. The ventilator was probably running, that would be why Gu Hao didn’t hear him.

.

Under the faint light of the toilet, he was naked, his head lowered, his black hair messy, the blush on his sharp face fading. He seemed tired and weak, cigarette ash collecting under his tattooed body.

“Are you feeling better?” Su Yimin leaned against the door, asking warmly.

Only then did Gu Hao snapped back to reality, “Mn.” was the reply. His voice had become unbelievably raspy.

“Are you sure you don’t need help?”

“There’s no need.” Gu Hao threw the cigarette in his hand into the garbage bin and stood up, drily saying. “Go to bed first.’

His movement was careless, not caring about his wound, he pulled onto his injury all too quickly and froze from the pain.

Su Yimin, seeing the situation, held onto him, saying seriously: “You can’t even walk straight, don’t force yourself, let me help you.”

“I’m fine.”

“Listen to me, it’s hard for you to clean that area anyways.”

After hearing that sentence, Gu Hao’s face regained its blush, his brows frowning to show his embarrassment turning into anger. “I said there’s no need!”

.

“What’s wrong? Embarrassed?” Seeing Gu Hao’s angry expression, an indecent thought crept into Su Yimin’s head, chuckling darkly. “You weren’t on the bed…”

This time, Gu Hao immediately turned as red as a cooked prawn, his patience ran out as he shouted. “Fuck! You……”

“Alright, alright, I won’t mention it anymore.” Su Yimin knew that Gu Hao was someone who got shy easily and quickly smoothed over the other’s bristled emotions. “Don’t be stubborn now, it’ll be faster if I wash you. If we keep wasting time, it’ll be dawn soon……”

.

When the two of them returned to bed, thoroughly relaxed, dawn had already arrived.

“Gu Hao.” Su Yimin called out to him.

Gu Hao tilted his head, the morning glow reflecting off the sharp edges of his eyes towards Su Yimin. “Yes?’

Su Yimin looked at him, smiling. “Why did you come to me tonight?”

Gu Hao locked eyes with him, Su Yimin had a pair of naturally bright eyes, telling him of unspoken warmth.

He looked away, feeling uncomfortable, falling silent, his vocal cords shaking, “That day, didn’t you say, that you wanted to be with me?’

“After that, I thought about it……” Gu Hao’s stern side-view was half-hidden in the dim light of the night, his voice so soft you could barely hear it. “……I want it too.”

Su Yimin smiled, pulling the other into a hug.

Gu Hao was quite tall, and he radiated off coolness and charisma, so, doing something like this did not fit them the best. Still, with Su Yimin embracing him, it was surprisingly natural, like he was embracing a small child, his warmth quickly engulfing Gu Hao.

This time, Gu Hao didn’t have any uneasinesses or objections. It was like falling under a spell, closing his eyes, in the realm between dreams and reality, he slowly curled up into Su Yimin’s embrace.
