Creak.
A villain with a hooked nose came out, cursing, "Damn it!"
"If you wouldn't even let me use your mouth, I would have given you a good lesson if it weren't for the money you can still earn!"
He turned around the railing and entered a small alley, then took out his tool to urinate. There were almost no dedicated toilets in the slum, and it was even more foul and dirty than London in the 19th century. Walking down the alley between the shacks, you might step on someone else's excrement at any moment, so basically no nobles or rich people came here, and even the guards were too lazy to patrol.
They were left to fend for themselves in the slum!
"Shit!"
"I'll get you sooner or later!"
Just as the villain with the hooked nose finished speaking, he suddenly felt a chill at the back of his neck. Before he could even draw his weapon, an arm covered his mouth, and a dagger in the darkness flashed, instantly cutting his throat. Blood spurted out far, gurgling, and the figure behind him held his neck until the body stopped convulsing. At this moment, Soren's figure emerged from the shadows, expressionless like a grim reaper.
Once in combat mode, he had no mercy.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have survived to enter the Legendary realm!
He dragged the body into the alley, the ground covered in blood, but fortunately, the darkness concealed everything.
"Where's Kabo?"
Another villain came out, cursing, "It takes him so long just to pee!"
"The boss needs him."
The villain looked around, clearly sensing something was wrong. They had just fought another gang a few days ago. He cautiously drew a short knife and approached the edge of the alley.
A smell of blood came!
The villain's face changed drastically, and he opened his mouth to call for help, but the shadow twisted in an instant.
A dagger pierced his back, a strong arm wrapped around his neck, stifling the scream that was about to come out.
"Shadow Hide successful!"
"Backstab activated!"
"Backstab *2 successful, dealing 16 points of damage to the target!"
"Target dead!"
"Extracting the target's soul energy, gained 30 experience points."
...
Soren dragged the second body into the alley.
After killing two people, the smell of blood was already very strong, and nearby people even sensed something, quickly locking the doors.
Clank!
Soren picked up another dagger and walked out with both hands holding weapons.
The smell of blood on him was very strong.
Continuing to hide was useless; the other side would soon become alert.
There weren't many experts in the slum gang, and even fewer with professional templates. He had already taken care of two, which was enough.
Thump, thump!
Soren's figure jumped and used the wall to gain momentum, landing on the roof.
His extraordinary human agility of 20 points made him walk without a sound. He threw a tile, instantly startling the others inside. Three gang members with weapons came out, led by Garys, whom he had seen during the day. Garys looked around alertly and then called the others to go to the side alley.
"Ahh!"
A shrill scream echoed.
Soren's figure descended like an eagle, pouncing on the last one. The dagger cut from his back to his waist, and the other hand flashed, piercing the gap in the chin and entering the skull.
Without any hesitation.
Soren kicked the body away and then threw the dagger, hitting the second enemy in the heart.
"It's you!..."
The leader of the warriors growled, drawing his longsword and slashing down, his expression grim. "Are you crazy!"
Clang, clang, clang!
Soren's dagger traced an eerie path, blocking the consecutive slashes, and said in a deep voice, "You shouldn't have targeted Vivian."
"So I can only send you all to hell!"
Thieves can't engage in prolonged battles with warriors!
Soren always remembered this. After the warrior used a military sword technique with three consecutive strikes, Soren sidestepped and kicked, and a cold light appeared in his other hand, slicing a wound in the enemy's waist.
Garys was an alert guy!
Since returning from an adventure with injuries, he always wore leather armor to sleep, and the tough leather armor couldn't be pierced by a dagger.
He could only attack the parts not covered by the leather armor.
Blood seeped out.
Garys reached to cover his waist, feeling numb, his face extremely grim. "It's poisoned!"
He remembered clearly.
Soren shouldn't have received any formal training, so how could he be so familiar with military sword techniques?
He found the flaw in his moves in an instant!
Yes.
Perhaps the former Soren didn't know, but for the current Soren, Garys' sword techniques were extremely familiar.
Even the advanced techniques like the Cross Sword, White Crow Tactics, and Reverse Slash were familiar to Soren. A Legendary thief who had participated in hundreds of battles wouldn't have survived to the Legendary realm if he didn't know the enemy's moves. Garys was just a slum villain; unless he had some special encounter or could afford the high training costs, he could only master low-level military sword techniques.
A basic sword technique that, once mastered, increases base accuracy by 3 points and allows the use of [Sword Stance - Heavy Slash].
Clank!
A spark flew.
Soren's steps traced a strange path, suddenly moving from the front to the back of the enemy, then piercing Garys' neck bone and flipping the dagger around.
Thud!
Garys' body fell to the ground.
Soren caught his breath for a moment and then said in a low voice, "To die under the Shadow Step, you deserve your status as a professional."
This was the ability of a Legendary thief.
But Soren currently had no ability to control shadow power. The true Shadow Step should cross the shadow plane to appear behind the enemy. He had just used a technique and the moment of hiding in the shadows to confuse the enemy's vision and move around. A Legendary thief had grasped the essence of shadows and could use shadow power to perform many spell-like abilities in combat. If not for his extraordinary agility of 20 points, Soren wouldn't have been able to simulate many of his former combat techniques and wouldn't have easily come to kill these villains.
In less than a minute, three more bodies lay on the ground.
Under the shadow of the night.
Everyone nearby hid, and the prostitutes trembled in fear behind the doors.
Soren picked up a body and crashed through the door. There were many people in the slum gang, but the true core was only these few. The other thugs were useless. With Soren's current skills, he could easily kill the thugs like slicing melons. Most professionals could easily handle ten ordinary people.
Whoosh!
The sound of a crossbow firing came.
The body Soren was holding trembled, and he instantly let go and pounced, actually running three steps on the wall before landing and charging at the enemy.
This technique, beyond the understanding of ordinary people, clearly stunned the enemy!
Before they could react, two people clutched their throats and fell, blood gushing out.
Soren's reaction was incredibly quick, barely avoiding a long knife slash, then kicking a chair into the enemy's face, grabbing the enemy's arm with his other hand, and slicing the tendons with the dagger. With a scream, the flying dagger flashed, cutting a half-foot-long wound in the throat.
Blood gushed out!
Thud!
Soren's toe lightly hooked a crossbow, and he quickly manipulated it, kicking open the door and shooting forward.
An arrow shot out!
A muffled groan came from inside the room, followed by a scream of pain.
"S-S-Soren!..."
"Don't kill me!... I'll make you the boss!... You'll be the leader!..."
Kol was a sullen middle-aged man, but now he clutched his arm, his face full of fear, begging, "Don't kill me!"
"I'll listen to you from now on."
A cold light.
Soren expressionlessly cut his throat, then frowned at the blood on his body and began searching the room for valuables.
There were eleven in total.
Almost all the core members of the gang, three of whom had advanced to professionals.
Unfortunately, they were all level one.
Except for Garys, who could hold his own for a few moves, the others were no match!
After all, you can't expect there to be any experts in the slums.
The people here lacked food and had no wealth or energy to train. Those who advanced to professionals did so because they had experienced too many street fights.
A level one warrior trained formally could take on two or three people in a direct fight!
Soren grabbed a sheet and wrapped up the valuable items, tying them into a large bundle and carrying it forward.
Some people were secretly peeking.
But no one dared to come out; this was not something they could interfere with.
When Soren's figure left.
Several men immediately approached stealthily, glaring at the nearby prostitutes and then searching the bodies for valuables, running into the house to take away anything valuable.
The gang was destroyed.
Tomorrow, another gang would take over. If they didn't take advantage of the situation now, they would have no chance in the future.
This was the slum.
Such things happening were nothing out of the ordinary.
