Chapter 12 of 32

11 - Trying To Use The Summoning Skill

3 min read716 words

In the morning, I went for a run with Aya as usual, then took a shower to wash off the sweat.

After that, I finished my breakfast and brushed my teeth.

Aya was going to help her friend with her homework.

She’s going to meet with the sister’s group at Koyanagi’s house to finish as much homework as possible in one day.

The two girls, Chisato and Yumi, are also going to finish as much as they can today.

Everyone seems to like Another.

Taku, of course, is hunting solo today.

Aya is staying at Koyanagi’s house and won’t be back until tomorrow, but she brought along her Another headgear, so I’m sure they’ll play together.

Aya had prepared lunch and dinner for me. I can’t thank her enough.

That’s why I can log in for the whole day, I really can’t stop thinking about it.

◇

I logged in, but Reinya was already gone. There were seven apples on the desk, and a note underneath.

It is written in Revelion Kingdom’s language, and has a paw signature in the lower right corner.

“Make sure to train well.”

Since Reinya nailed me, so after moving my magic one way or another, I pour about half of my magic into the mysterious jar.

I thought I was the only one in the library, but I guess I wasn’t.

? LV?

It was not an enemy, although the details were not entirely clear.

It looks humanoid, but its face is sprawling and its joints are making creaking sounds.

Just like a wooden doll.

It’s wandering around in a dimly lit library.

…Don’t tell anyone that I was a bit surprised.

Anyway, there didn’t seem to be any problems, so I tried to use my skills in the hall.

Let’s try summoning first.

Summoning LV1

Summon

Summons a demon.

I appraised the summoning skill and appraised it even further, and I still had no idea.

If I don’t know, I should just do it.

“Summon.”

When I chanted the spell, about 30% of MP drained out of my body and a circle with geometric patterns appeared.

It flicks, starts rotating, and then…

It gave off a particularly large light.

“Kuun.”

“Homu?”

As the light settled, there was a dog. More like a wolf perhaps?

However, it was smaller than the dog that had attacked me yesterday.

It’s a silver wolf glittering in the afterglow of the summoning, staring at me with its cute eyes.

The first thing to do in such a situation is to feed and discipline them, of course.

“Shake.”

“Kuun?”

It’s going to take a while.

◇

“Shake.”

“Woon!”

“The other paw.”

“Woon!”

Perfect.

A few minutes later, I suddenly realized that there were some skills that I had to get, so I decided to acquire them.

The six skills I got were, “Command”, “Leadership”, “Cooperation”, “Centripetal Force”, “Pet” and “Submissive Magic”.

It seems that you can’t appraise a skill that you haven’t acquired, so I chose some that seemed good and acquired them.

Perhaps if I raise the level of Appraisal, the information I can acquire will also increase.

Anyway, here are the skills.

Command LV1

Increases your command ability.

Leadership LV1

Increases your ability to lead your subordinates.

Cooperation LV1

Higher coordination ability.

Centripetal Force LV1

Increases your centripetal force.

Pet LV1

Your subordinates will be more likely to listen to you.

Submissive Magic LV1

Lower contract taming.

Using these six skills, I succeeded in taming Ullr, the baby wolf.

It was a one shot, though.

The following is a list of reasons why summoning is considered unfavorable.

Summons are weak. Summons don’t listen to you. Summons are counted as a member of a party, and therefore they’re a subject to experience sharing. Once a Summon dies or is repatriated, the same Summon cannot be summoned again.

In addition to the above reasons, one of the reasons for the disadvantage is the large number of points required to obtain it.

That’s all I have to say after using the summoning skill.

Next up is alchemy, which has a strong fantasy flavor.

I can’t wait to see what it can do.
