While petting Ullr, who rubs up against me, I appraise the Alchemy skill.

Higher Level Transformation
Converts a material to a higher level.
Suzumori’s family motto is If you don’t know, challenge yourself. That’s basically what it is. Like a wild boar.
The only thing that I have on hand that could be converted would be a slime core. It wouldn’t hurt to use it.
I’ll try it right away.
I hold the petite slime core that was split into two in my hand, and try the lower level transformation.
“Subversion Transformation”
When I chanted the spell, it consumed all my remaining magic power, and a dazzling light was generated around the slime core.
When it subsided, there was a single regular octahedron crystal on my palm.
Lesser Petite Slime Core Quality:C Rarity:2 Durability:E
Note: The heart of the Lesser Petite Slime, not a scratch on it.
Apparently, it worked.
Lesser Petite Slime is probably a degraded form of a Petite Slime. In other words, it was a success.
The next step is to convert it to a higher level.
I would have liked to do it, but I was running out of magic power, so I decided to explore the city.
Holding Ullr in my arms, I left the library.
I passed a blond girl at the entrance reception, I guess they do get visitors.
◇
My destination is the Adventurer’s Guild, where I want to sell the dog corpses.
The next stop is the store, where I can improve the situation where Reinya has to prepare food for me.
Next is to collect items, which I’m still working on.
There are more items lying around the city than you might think.
Stone (Small) Quality:C Rarity:1 Durability:C
Note: A piece of stone.
Medicinal herbs Quality:E Rarity:1 Durability:E
Notes: Weed, recovery effect (very slight)
Poisonous plant Quality:E Rarity:1 Durability:E
Notes: Weed, numbing poison effect (very slight)
I knew what it was, thanks to looking at the botanical pictures.
The official name of the herb is Oonagusa, and the leaves have medicinal properties, and from the description, I’d say they help relieve fatigue.
The poisonous herb is called Kiroso, and is classified as a numbing plant among poisonous plants. The roots and flowers are toxic, and if you ingest it, you will only feel numbness and it’s not that strong.
I found a recipe for making medicine in the pharmacist’s manual, so if I have the tools, I can try making it.
◇
I arrived at the guild.
A little way off the main road, a sign with the shape of a crossed sword reads “Adventurer’s Guild Headquarters.”
The Adventurer’s Guild was written all over the sign, but the headquarters seemed to have been added later, which was puzzling.
When I looked through the open door, I saw that the guild was almost empty and deserted.
There were a few people at the attached bar, both men and women drinking in the morning.
The place had a somewhat decadent atmosphere.
… Is this place okay?
I decided to go in since I couldn’t start anything if I was hesitating.
There is a bar on the left side and a board with paper on the right side. There are entrances and exits at the back of each side, with the training area on the right and the off-limits area on the left.
At the front, there is a receptionist and a skinhead muscle uncle looking at a stack of papers.
At any rate, let’s talk to the man at the reception desk.
“Hello.”
“Hm? Ah, hello, what can I do for you in the Adventurer’s Guild?”
“I heard you were dismantling demons.”
“We do dismantle……Well okay, follow me.”
He checked my body from my feet to my head, and when he finally saw Ullr, he nodded.
…You’re not going to dismantle Ullr, are you?
As we arrived, we passed by the board that said “Training Area” and went through a gate on the far right.
The place we came out of was a large field. However, the grass was all over the place and there was no one around.
There is a large building in the direction we are going, so that must be our destination.
When I entered, I saw that demons were being dismantled.
It took three people to dismantle a huge bear, and it must have taken a lot of effort to take it down because its fur was in shreds.
I say huge bear, but the bear’s arms alone were as big as mine.
If I were to be slapped by this powerful arm, I would be blown away like the dog yesterday.
That’s scary.
…My head might pop off or the next might come off before it blows up.
“So…You sure that’s your prey?”
“Wafu?”
“No, it’s not. That’s my buddy.”
The skinhead asks, pointing at Ullr with his chin, and I deny it by hugging him.
“I see, that’s too bad….It could have sold well.”
The uncle laughed, poking a little fun at me.
He is a good man.
“This is the prey.”
As I said this, I took the dog out of my inventory.
He froze for a moment when he saw the dog fall from the sky.
After a while, he nodded his head.
“…I see, Malevito…..I see”
He began his assessment without asking any particular questions.
He said that he could finish dismantling the dog by the end of the day, and that he would start after he finished dismantling the bear, which he had no time for at the moment, and would be finished by noon at the earliest.
We decided to sell the meat, get the bones, claws, tusks, fur and magic stones.
◇
I was seen by the skin headed muscular man, who then came to the store.
The northeastern part of the city is the so-called commercial district, where the closer you are to the center and the main street, the bigger the stores are, and the rest are stalls and markets.
My goal is to get some fruits that can be easily eaten like Arles.
I haven’t tested it, but if time is stopped in my inventory, I might be able to buy them all together from a stall.
Well, from what I saw of the dog’s corpse, it looks like the items remain in the same state in the inventory.
Anyway, the goal is now to buy fruits.
“Kuun.”
“Mm?”
Ullr suddenly started pacing, I wondered what was going on, but then I smelled an appetizing smell.
Apparently, he was hungry.
The source of the smell was a food stall, which from a distance seemed to be selling some kind of meat on skewers.
“Shall we go eat?”
“Woon.”
He wanted to eat.
“Two skewers, please.”
“Sure.“
The guy selling the skewers is wearing a brown apron, has black hair and deep blue eyes, but if I look closely, I can see that underneath the apron he’s wearing the same traveler’s clothes as me.
I guess he’s a player.
“Whoa, look at you, you’re a beautiful girl, are you an elementary school student?”
“No way, I’m a high school student and a man.”
“Ha? Haa? ….That’s a real appearance change….huh…”
“I haven’t changed anything except my hair and eye colors.”
“…I see.”
I chatted lightly with the unsatisfied guy until the skewers were ready.
His name is Alan. He likes to cook, and the reason he started this game was to find unknown ingredients.
He found no unknown ingredients at the moment, so he’s solo hunting rabbits and selling the meat to make money.
So far, 90% of his customers are NPCs.
The reason for this is that during the beta test, there was no such thing as hunger and when they logged out, their bodies would not remain in the same place.
The food was just a luxury item.
“Maa, I know that you’re just starting out and you don’t have a lot of money to spend on luxuries, but…”
“But I think it’s about time everyone has zero hunger.”
“Hm? Hunger level?”
Hmmm?
Alan LV3 Status: Hungry (Very)

“Alan, are you hungry?”
“…Now that you mention it, I think I’m really hungry…”
“When was the last time you ate anything?”
“This morning, I ate a piece of meat to taste it.”
“And yesterday?”
“I didn’t eat anything.”
Alan looks at the skewer he’s cooking and gulps.
“I can wait?”
“…Sorry.”
Ullr made a sad sound as the skewered meat disappeared from the end of the grill.
“Kuun…..”
“I’m sorry, really.”
