Chapter 34

A hundred meters away from the vegetable garden, Su Xi and Rachel were busy setting up supports for the seedlings, so they could grow tall and branch out, producing more fruit.

As he got closer, he could see that the plants that needed supports, like tomatoes, beans, and cucumbers, had already grown to about 20 centimeters high, the perfect time to set up the supports.

The lettuce, which they had started eating a few days ago, was about ten centimeters tall, just the right size for tender leaves. Although it wasn't as good as the vegetables from the space, the cowboys were very happy to have fresh vegetables every day. They praised Qin Yi's kindness and generosity, and worked even harder.

The carrots scattered among the lettuce had also sprouted, with their delicate leaves bringing joy to the heart. The vegetable garden was full of various vegetables, including eggplants, cabbages, green and red peppers, potatoes, and beets. When Qin Yi bought the seeds, he had the shop owner give him some of each type. He even managed to get some seeds for white radishes and winter melons, hoping to use them for soup in the winter.

"Su Xi, have everyone tried the mature vegetables? Are they satisfactory?"

"Oh, if they're not satisfied, God would be upset! These are really good vegetables. Everyone loves them. Although they're not as good as the salad from the barbecue, they're even more delicious than organic vegetables. Plus, there's plenty, and we can eat them every day. What more could they want?"

Su Xi was very satisfied with the vegetables and her work. It wasn't tiring, and she could grow vegetables that everyone enjoyed, giving her a great sense of accomplishment.

Managing the vegetable garden wasn't as simple as it looked. It involved weeding, pest control, pruning, pollination, and harvesting, all done by hand, which kept her busy. But it was much easier than being a cowboy.

"That's good. Su Xi's work is very important. Growing good vegetables makes everyone happy and more dedicated to their work. If the ranch does well this year, I'll give everyone a bonus!"

This bonus was actually the profit-sharing percentage he had mentioned before. Since it was the first year, Qin Yi didn't know how much profit there would be or what percentage to give, so he decided to use a bonus as an incentive.

"Oh, thank you, Yi. That's great news!" Rachel was also delighted.

The three of them chatted casually as Qin Yi helped set up the supports. He remembered helping his mother set up supports for vegetables when he was a child, feeling a bit nostalgic.

By 5 PM, Qin Yi went home to make dinner and feed the lazy fruit.

Since building the apple house for the lazy fruit, it no longer went anywhere else. It slept inside every day. Thanks to drinking the spirit spring water, it had become smarter and knew to go to the bathroom when it needed to. It also took a bath every day, so it stayed clean, making Qin Yi's life easier.

The next morning, after a boxing session that left him drenched in sweat, Qin Yi remembered he hadn't drunk the spirit spring water yet, so he went back to the house and poured a cup.

The spirit spring pool had been full for several days, but it hadn't overflowed. Qin Yi hadn't paid much attention until now. He noticed that the water in the center of the spring had turned a light blue-green. This change must be why the water wasn't overflowing.

Could the blue-green spirit spring water be more potent?

After pondering for a while, he concluded that this must be the case. Otherwise, where would the new water go?

It could only get better, not worse!

Qin Yi left the space and drank the cup of water. He immediately felt refreshed and his vision became clearer. His slight myopia, caused by late-night computer use, was completely gone. He even felt a hidden strength in his body, as if a punch could cause several times more damage than before!

Qin Yi quickly went out and practiced the Xinyi Quan again. He immediately noticed the difference. Now, when he punched, his well-defined muscles rippled like waves, transmitting the force to his fist. It felt like he could punch with a continuous, powerful force, causing both external and internal damage.

Feeling these changes, Qin Yi was delighted. His combat ability had greatly improved, but he wondered when he would have the chance to use it.

Should he find someone for a real-life sparring match?

He pushed aside the chaotic thoughts and finished the entire set of Xinyi Quan. He was surprised to find himself feeling sore all over. He had been practicing every day and hadn't felt tired for the past few days. Why was he so exhausted after just one set?

After thinking for a while, he suddenly realized the reason.

Obviously, his muscles hadn't been rippling like this before, and he couldn't punch with the power of several punches! It seemed that the increase in strength had outpaced his body's endurance. Each punch put a lot of strain on his muscles, causing the soreness.

But this was good. It meant he could train his body further. Once his endurance improved, he could handle a real-life sparring match if he encountered a robber!

Once he adapted to his current strength, he could drink more spirit spring water and improve further. If he kept this cycle going, he would soon evolve into a superhuman. Then, he could give a fruit to Little Black, and if he dared to dissect him, he would take care of him! Forget about running the ranch and his grand plans; he could openly give away fruits and wander the world without fear!

He could even train a superhuman army and lead them to conquer the universe!

These chaotic thoughts made Qin Yi feel elated, like drinking a cold beer on a hot summer day. But when he came to his senses, he remembered that the fruit could only enhance his constitution the first time he ate it, and the spirit spring water was likely the same. This thought was like a bucket of cold water on a winter day, making him feel thoroughly chilled.

While Qin Yi was conflicted, the three people at the stable, waiting for him to take Little Black out, were puzzled.

Yesterday, when Lane brought the bucket of wine Qin Yi gave him home, he was happy but didn't expect much from the quality. However, during dinner, he brought it out for the family to try. To their surprise, the wine gave them a feeling of their souls wandering in nature, with a refreshing natural aroma that deeply relaxed their bodies and minds after a long day of work.

After the first sip, the room fell silent. The four of them savored the taste for a while, then raised their glasses again, swirled the wine, sniffed it, and took another small sip.

Cowboys generally preferred beer, finding wine too troublesome. However, they weren't ignorant of its quality. Lane's family had worked at the Moore family ranch before and occasionally had access to high-end wines.

However, they all agreed that the aroma of those high-end wines was noticeably different from Qin Yi's. His wine was clear, long-lasting, and invigorating, giving a sense of peace and tranquility, like the gentle growth of spring.

The taste was crisp, smooth, and had a long aftertaste.

After the second sip, the four of them, now prepared, experienced the wine in even more detail. As the wine flowed through their bodies, it felt like walking through an orchard, sharing the joy of blooming flowers and ripe fruits. Their souls were no longer bound, freely wandering in the blue sky and green grass. The invigorating aroma of the wine brought them back to reality, and they could feel a subtle energy from the wine soothing their fatigue.

Silently, they finished the small half-cup of wine. Lane put the bucket away and told the others not to talk about it to avoid causing trouble for Qin Yi.

They continued eating, still amazed that Qin Yi had brewed such excellent wine. It was truly incredible!

This morning, Lane and the others wanted to praise the wine, so they had been paying attention to Qin Yi. Seeing him finish his boxing and look dazed, Lane was puzzled, wondering what was wrong with Qin Yi.

Fortunately, Qin Yi didn't keep them waiting long. After a few seconds of hesitation, he decided that getting the space was already a life-changing opportunity, and he shouldn't be too greedy. Otherwise, he would end up wanting to become a god, which would exhaust him!

He stretched his sore limbs and walked to the stable. Lane, Burke, and Rachel quickly came over, praising him.

"Yi, you're amazing. We've all tried the wine you brewed, and it's even better than those famous wines!"

Burke and Rachel nodded in agreement, their eyes filled with admiration. They thought: To brew such excellent wine at such a young age, he's a master brewer!

"Thank you, Lane. I'm glad you like it. I'll send you another bucket when you finish this one!" Qin Yi was happy, knowing that the space fruits would make excellent wine, but it was still gratifying to hear the praise.

"Thank you, Yi. This bucket will last us a long time. It's not like drinking beer!" The boss's kindness and generosity made them want to work even harder.

After talking about the wine, Qin Yi asked Lane to come to the main house in the morning to discuss the ranch renovations and any precautions.

After breakfast, Qin Yi remembered the fruit wine, which was rich in spirit energy and should be good for the body. He brought a bucket of each type and placed them in the back of his pickup truck, heading to Susa's house.

"Uncle Yi! Angie missed you!"

Angie recognized Qin Yi's car and waited with her mother on the porch. As soon as he got out, she ran over, jumped, and hugged his waist, hanging in the air.

Qin Yi picked her up and teased her, "Uncle Yi missed Angie too, so I came to visit!"

Hearing this, Angie was even happier and kissed Qin Yi's head.

Susa smiled and invited Qin Yi in, but he shook his head, put Angie down, and took the fruit wine out of the truck.

"Susa, this is fruit wine. There are four types: apple, plum, peach, and pear. I brewed them myself. You can keep them for yourself."

Angie, seeing that Uncle Yi had brought a gift for her mother but not for her, pouted and asked, "Uncle Yi, do I have a gift?"

Qin Yi smiled and patted her head, "Of course, Angie has a gift too. How could I forget?"

He then took a basket of fruits from the truck, all from the space, large, round, and fragrant. Angie was delighted and ran over, hugging a big apple for her mother, another for Uncle Yi, and finally, a big, red, and round one for herself, which she bit into, making Qin Yi and Susa smile.

Angie had fallen in love with the fruits Qin Yi brought a few days ago. After lunch yesterday, she thought about the delicious fruits, but they were all gone. The fruits at home weren't as good.

However, Angie was very sensible and didn't complain. She knew Uncle Yi was the best and would definitely know she wanted apples and bring her some. Sure enough, she thought about it yesterday, and he came today!

"Uncle Yi, where did you buy these big apples? Can Mom buy them too?" Angie wanted to know where to buy them so she could ask her mother to get more.

"There's nowhere to buy them. If Angie likes them, Uncle Yi will bring them. You can have as many as you want, but don't eat too many in a day. You need Mom's permission to eat them!" Seeing Angie's happiness, Qin Yi was pleased.

Angie nodded, munching on the apple and mumbling that Uncle Yi was the best.

Susa watched happily, noticing how much more lively Angie had become!
