"Yi, how are you going to prepare lunch? It’s the first meal for our friends, so it should be a bit more substantial, right?"

Qin Yi thought for a moment before speaking, "Let’s prepare both Chinese and Western dishes. Making a meal isn’t too much trouble, and we can’t be impolite. I’ll come back and make the Chinese dishes at noon, and you can prepare the Western ones."

Susa nodded, got up, and brought over two cups of coffee. She then tidied up the tableware, while Liu Qimeng sat comfortably on the sofa playing with Angel. Qin Yi shook his head at the sight.

From these daily reactions, it was clear that Susa and Liu Qimeng were two completely different people. Susa cooked and tidied the house, acting like a virtuous wife and mother, while Liu Qimeng spent her days playing and eating, not caring about anything, completely carefree, and never feeling the slightest bit embarrassed!

But then again, he thought it was also good this way. Susa could handle the household chores, and Liu Qimeng could be responsible for making everyone laugh!

The rich aroma of the coffee told Qin Yi that it was the beans he had roasted the night before. Taking a sip, he savored the smooth and rich flavor, unable to think of many words to describe it, but feeling that everything was perfect.

After finishing his coffee, he remembered the duck he had marinated the night before. He got up to change the water, then took out a few large carp he had grilled, placed them in a large basin, and fed the dogs. Macci and Teddy’s meals were also fish, but with more vegetables. These large fish, about half a meter long, were abundant in the Sun River, easily caught with a large net, so Qin Yi didn’t have to worry about the dogs’ and the brown bear’s food.

At 9:30, Qin Yi told Angel to stay at home and said goodbye to Susa. He then drove the pickup truck to the airport to pick up the guests. Yesterday, Jocelyn had sent him the flight number, and four people were coming. A pickup truck was just right for the four of them, and the luggage could be thrown into the back.

The flight from Los Angeles to Augusta arrived after 10:30. The journey was smooth, and they arrived at the airport just after 10:00. He passed the time by playing on his phone for half an hour, waiting for Jocelyn’s flight to land. He quickly grabbed a small cardboard sign to meet the guests.

People started coming out one by one, and Qin Yi foolishly held up the sign, looking at each young lady coming out. After all, he had only met them once, and it had been over 20 days, so he only vaguely remembered their faces!

As the number of people decreased, finally, four people came out—two women and two men. The ladies were wearing large sunglasses that covered half their faces, carrying small bags, and walking leisurely. The two men, about 1.9 meters tall, were carrying three large and small bags each, wearing sneakers and shorts. One of them, a muscular man with a beard and a ponytail, made Qin Yi marvel at his fashionable appearance, something he could never pull off!

Four people, including the ladies, could it be them?

But he couldn’t remember their faces clearly, and with the large sunglasses, he couldn’t tell if it was them...

Qin Yi waved the sign at the lady whose height matched his memory. She paused, then shook her head at the three companions looking at her and walked straight out!

Qin Yi watched her confident figure, touched his nose, and realized he had mistaken her for someone else. If Jocelyn knew, he would have been caught lying about remembering her!

Shaking his head, he continued to look at the pretty ladies coming out. But in a small airport like Augusta, there weren’t many people on a single flight. In a short while, most people had already come out. Looking through the sparse crowd at the entrance, he could see to the end, but there was no one left...

Qin Yi put away the sign, wondering if Jocelyn had given him the wrong flight number.

In his memory, she wasn’t the kind of person to be so careless!

"Beep beep! Beep beep!"

At this moment, his phone rang. It was Jocelyn’s number, which he had saved in his phone after she called yesterday.

"Hello, this is Yi. Is this Jocelyn? Have you landed?"

"Yes, I’m already out and looking at you!"

Jocelyn’s voice was filled with amusement and helplessness, making Qin Yi very puzzled. But he didn’t have time to think about it and quickly turned around to look everywhere, "You’re out? You’re..."

He was about to ask where Jocelyn was, but as soon as he turned around, he saw ten meters away, on the roadside, two very fit ladies and two fashionable young men looking straight at him. One of the taller ladies was waving her phone at him. Seeing this, Qin Yi knew he didn’t need to ask anymore!

He hung up the phone and walked over, still unable to resist a comment. Jocelyn wasn’t honest either. She had clearly seen him but pretended not to recognize him, completely undermining the little bit of certainty he had!

Both ladies were wearing black jeans, canvas shoes, and white T-shirts. The only difference was in their hats. Jocelyn’s was beige, and the other lady’s was pink with a red border, both exuding a youthful charm!

"Hey, Jocelyn, I recognized your silhouette, but with those big sunglasses, it’s hard to tell!" Qin Yi explained briefly and quickly changed the topic, "Are these three your friends? Hello, I’m Yi Qin, just call me Yi."

"Trevor, Trevor Moritz." The man with the ponytail shook hands with Qin Yi and introduced the others, "This is my brother Colin and my sister Chloe. We’re happy to be guests at your ranch, and we hope we won’t be a bother!"

This guy was very nice, humble, and polite, which Qin Yi appreciated.

Colin and Chloe also greeted him politely, and Qin Yi welcomed them, hoping they would have a pleasant stay, maintaining the dignity of a Chinese gentleman!

"Let’s go, Yi. Someone is taking our picture!" Jocelyn, after everyone had greeted each other, noticed someone nearby taking pictures with a phone, clearly recognizing her and Chloe. Although they were used to being photographed, they couldn’t stand there and be gawked at; they were here to relax!

Everyone looked around and saw the obvious paparazzi, knowing that the two ladies had been recognized. No one approached for autographs because it was clear they were on vacation. Usually, people wouldn’t disturb them at such times, and Montana had few fans, except for country music stars or local celebrities.

"Being photographed? It must be because of the two beautiful ladies with us. No one has ever taken pictures of me before!" Qin Yi joked, but the two ladies did indeed attract attention. Everyone laughed, and Qin Yi shrugged, "Ladies and gentlemen, let’s get in the car!"

Qin Yi led them to the parking lot.

They threw the luggage in the back, and Jocelyn sat in the passenger seat, leaving the back seat for the three siblings.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, we’re heading back to the ranch." Qin Yi started the pickup truck and drove off.

Leaving Augusta, the roadside was lined with continuous ranches and farms. The peaceful and serene Montana countryside made everyone in the car feel relaxed.

"I’ve been to Montana before, but never with a vacation mindset. It feels completely different, very novel and relaxing."

Chloe looked at a distant farm and imagined how comfortable it would be to live there. If she could ride horses and tend to a garden every day, it would be a completely different experience from being a celebrity, a life of freedom and ease.

The other three nodded in agreement with Chloe’s words.

Qin Yi, with the air of someone who had been there before, said, "This place is indeed very peaceful, but after a while, you might find the life too monotonous and start to miss the excitement of the outside world!"

Although he enjoyed this peaceful life, many others would feel the same way. But he believed more people still yearned for the excitement of the outside world. Ranch life might be a good change for them, making them feel free and easy for a while, but over time, they would find life lacking in highlights!

Only those who were content with a simple life could truly enjoy the tranquility of ranch life!

Just like himself!

Qin Yi chuckled to himself.

The four of them turned to look at him, then looked out the window, agreeing that Qin Yi was right. They seriously considered it and realized that they couldn’t give up the glamour of the entertainment industry just yet, at least not now.
