Finally, after waiting for about ten minutes under the porch, Qin Yi was seen riding Little Black, leading a group of dogs and McGee running back. Liu Qimeng quickly stood up and waved, hoping Qin Yi would run a bit faster.

Now, Qin Yi’s morning task wasn’t just walking Little Black; he also had to take McGee and the dogs for a run. How could they not exercise a few rounds in the morning? However, it was the first time Little Black saw McGee, and he let out a loud neigh, quite startled. Although he didn’t run away, he always kept a distance from McGee!

Herbivores are naturally sensitive to large carnivores. Unless they are elephants, which have no natural predators, even strong wild bulls can’t withstand the attack of a few wolves, let alone brown bears.

Fortunately, after a few days of adaptation, Little Black gradually got used to it and no longer rejected McGee. Of course, this was also due to Qin Yi’s constant reassurance. At least, that’s what Qin Yi believed. He comforted Little Black on one side and instructed McGee not to scare everyone, emphasizing that he should be friendly and polite to his own people, regardless of whether they understood or not!

After two minutes, Qin Yi dismounted and let Little Black go eat grass. Liu Qimeng ran up and grabbed his arm, her eyes shining so brightly that it almost blinded Qin Yi. This made Qin Yi quite surprised. What was going on?

Fortunately, Liu Qimeng spoke up immediately, shaking his arm with a sweet, coquettish voice, “Qin Yi, do you still have the beauty products you gave Susa? Can you give me a little bit, okay?”

Qin Yi shivered, feeling his goosebumps fall off. He quickly pulled back his arm and rubbed it, saying, “Speak normally, look at what you’ve done! Let’s eat, I’ll give it to you tonight.” Qin Yi said sternly and quickly went inside, unable to bear it any longer!

Behind him, Liu Qimeng waved her fist, looking very pleased.

During the meal, Kolo and the others naturally noticed Susa’s change and praised her, making Susa beam with joy!

In fact, Kolo and Christine really wanted to ask Susa about her skincare secret. Makeup and removing makeup for filming can be very harmful to the skin, requiring a lot of time for maintenance. But since it was mealtime, they decided to inquire privately later.

They all changed out of their fashionable outfits and put on denim, but this did little to hide their star presence and fashion sense. Perhaps this had become part of their natural aura, unrelated to their clothing.

These denim outfits were all found at Qin Yi, Susa, and Liu Qimeng’s place. Fortunately, Liu Qimeng had come over a while ago, and Qin Yi had taken everyone to the Augusta Leather Goods Store to buy a lot of clothes.

However, the cutest of all was Angel. The little girl wore red and white shoes, blue overalls, and a red T-shirt. Her golden hair was tied in a ponytail, and she wore a pink cat ear cap, with a child’s toy water gun on her shoulder. She was incredibly adorable!

As soon as Angel followed Susa out of the room, Liu Qimeng’s eyes lit up, and she ran over to hug and kiss Angel, praising her beauty. Angel was very happy, except for the drool on her face!

In fact, Liu Qimeng had chosen this outfit, though it was the first time Angel wore it. She didn’t know what Liu Qimeng was thinking when she bought it, but it was undeniably cute. However, when Qin Yi saw the blue overalls and red T-shirt, he thought of the mustachioed Mario. He wondered about the pink cat ear cap!

“Ala-rei!” Qin Yi asked, and Liu Qimeng said three words, then continued to play with Angel with a smile.

He actually wanted to ask who Ala-rei was, but decided to look it up online later!

After breakfast, Lane rode over, dressed in denim, carrying a hunting rifle, and a revolver on his hip. He looked so impressive that everyone was amazed: This old cowboy, so handsome!

Lane greeted everyone and helped hang the large and small bags on the horses, with McGee carrying the tent bag.

Since learning to hunt, Qin Yi had visited Old Jack’s gun shop many times. Now, his collection room had over a dozen hunting rifles, including the two Lee-Enfields and Remingtons he had before. He had added two new Remingtons of different models, two improved M1 Garands, and a few more Lee-Enfields. He found these guns very comfortable to use.

He took out the hunting rifles and distributed one to each person. Even Liu Qimeng had learned to shoot and ride under Susa’s guidance, though her skills were not great, and she wasn’t expected to hunt.

Kolo and Christine were both skilled in riding and shooting, having spent a lot of time at high-end shooting ranges and stables. These places were also good for socializing, even for celebrities. As for Trevor and Colin, it was rare to find American men who didn’t know how to shoot!

Qin Yi and Lane each took an automatic rifle. If they encountered a wolf pack, they would rely on these to suppress them.

Seeing everyone with long guns and short knives, Qin Yi was deeply moved. It felt like they were going to war rather than camping, but there was no choice. This time, they were spending the night at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, where encountering large carnivores at night was not uncommon!

Everything was ready, and they set off without delay. Qin Yi rode Little Black with Angel, and the others each rode a horse.

On the way, everyone was very interested in Little Black. After hearing Lane’s story about how Qin Yi chose Little Black as his partner, they all praised Qin Yi’s good judgment and envied him for having such a spirited horse.

Qin Yi naturally acted indifferent, as if it was nothing special, while Lane and Susa chuckled.

Blackie and Wheat led the dogs, running back and forth to keep watch. McGee carried the large bag and walked slowly with Teddy, always lagging behind but never falling too far behind. Qin Yi marveled at their bear-like nature, finding them quite slow!

Angel was the happiest, leaning against Qin Yi and turning her head to play with Liu Qimeng behind her. She also asked a lot of strange questions, like what the taste of clouds was, why she didn’t have wings like birds, and whether little ducks would drown when they followed their mother to swim. These questions were quite challenging, but they also reminded everyone of their lost childhood innocence, making them nostalgic!

On the way, they passed through one grassland after another, through small forests, over small hills, and across streams. Everyone chatted and laughed, enjoying the blue sky, green grass, and the various birds that occasionally flew by. They took many photos and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Laughing and chatting, they didn’t realize it was already noon. Qin Yi suggested they dismount for lunch and rest before continuing. They had arrived at the same small forest they had visited twice before, where Ye Fang had shot a ten-point white-tailed deer and where Qin Yi had encountered McGee and Teddy. Qin Yi carried Angel down and looked at the small forest with a sigh: This forest and I have a special bond!

Everyone dismounted, and Susa sprayed insect repellent. Liu Qimeng took Kolo and Christine to gather dry wood. Qin Yi instructed McGee, who was carrying Angel, to follow the women. He then took Blackie and Wheat and went with Lane and Trevor to check the surroundings, leaving the other dogs to protect the women at the temporary camp.

As for Teddy, he was a playful little bear, always walking upright and curious about everything. They didn’t expect him to do much, just to have fun and grow quickly!

During the first two times Qin Yi had checked the camp, he had wandered around the forest with his gun, acting recklessly. In comparison, Lane was much more professional. He ignored the thick bushes because it was impossible to detect anything in the dense foliage with the naked eye. As long as Blackie and Wheat didn’t react, there was no need to worry.

Of course, when there were no dogs, Lane shared a small tip: observe the grass and small branches around the bushes from a distance. If they weren’t bent or broken, it meant the area was safe. This method was commonly used in jungle camping, simple and effective, and usually very accurate.

Now, Lane used this method to check for hoof prints on the path and whether the grass and small branches on both sides were broken. If there were none, it meant no large carnivores had passed by, making the area safe.

Another area of concern was large trees and rocks, where carnivores often left their scent to mark their territory. If Blackie and Wheat showed no signs of alarm, they could continue searching.

Of course, it was normal for the dogs to rub against trees or urinate on them!

After circling around and confirming it was safe, they headed back. On the way, Qin Yi, Colin, and Trevor looked at Lane with respect, admiring his expertise. They all felt they had learned a lot from this trip.

This attitude made Lane very pleased. He had been a bit distant from Trevor and Colin, but this trip had brought them closer.
