chapter 44

There are pieces of flesh scattered above the shoulders, and the body is mutilated. It might be rude to look at it too long, but I have to check it out.

Light gear and a black cape. He has a small, fat build, he is…

“I don’t know whose body this is.”

“Hmm? Oh.”

I activate my otherworldly eyes, surprised that Ouka seems unconcerned.

Adventurers in this world would only be able to identify someone by their equipment when faced with a headless corpse.

But when I was summoned in this world, I got the ability to read others statuses.

Neikra(M)

This body is definitely Mr Neikra.

It’s not a necromancer, but it’s …….rather, the status is gone except for the name. Is it because he’s dead?

Ouka status changed after I gave her a name, so I thought her status would be driven by her personal consciousness.

If the name remains without regard to the person, then it means that Ouka has lived without a name.

I was distracted from my thoughts.

Deduce the situation from the body.

Not surprisingly, there are pieces of flesh and blood strewn about, but if you look closely at the neck, it’s not a wound that has been cut by a sword. You can see the roughness of the wound as if it had been scratched or shredded by something.

“I don’t see the weapons that Ms Mativa mentioned.”

The corpse is not equipped with anything.

I had no choice but to check the corpse’s pockets and found the Guild card.

Oh, it’s got ” Neikra” written all over it. I think this body is definitely Mr Neikra.

The guild card has the name Neikra and a D-rank inscribed on it. I didn’t need the Otherworldly Eye……

“I was also curious about the idea of a weapon that controls the dead, but our priority is to report that he is dead. It’s a pain in the ass to bring a corpse with us, so this guild card should be all we need.”

Anyway, the promotion is ours…

“What–?”

I detect something and turn around as quickly as I can, but—

Immediately afterwards, electric shocks gushed through my entire body.

“Ahhhh!”

“Master!”

Late detection.

When the magic of this world chooses a target, the chosen party can detect the presence of the target.

However, how well you can detect it depends on the status difference between you and your opponent.

The lantern falls to the ground.

Ouka supported me with her body as my motionless body felt like it was about to collapse.

But I was too heavy for Ouka, and I slowly touched the ground.

“Thank you for the tour.”

Someone comes out from behind a tree.

In the light of the lantern he was holding, the figure became clearer.

A boy in silver plate armour and a helmet.

“Sen?”

“You were right to follow him.”

The boy had draws his sword.
