[The myth era was long gone, but he could start a new life and pursue the same dream with the same soul.]
The man’s fingers were too cold, Su An was able to get goose bumps. However, after the initial cold, the man’s long, pale, almost horrible fingers seemed to carry a huge electric current, relentlessly and roughly penetrating his fragile organs. Su An was not even sure if he screamed aloud in that moment’s trance.
Therefore, it was like lifting the stems and leaves of a certain plant, like a sunflower longing for the sun- The young man was in the hands of his young adoptive father.
This was really the most depraved crime.
The man smiled and continued to humiliate the pale-faced young man. “You see, indeed you still want to refuse me.”
Su An trembled and looked at the pale tall man in front of him. He looked at his flawless facial features and his mocking and bewitching smile. His heart gradually sprouted, like overgrown creeping weed spread to every corner of the body.
He seemed to be able to see a huge door slowly opening behind the man. The door was dark, but there was an ethereal voice telling the treasure and joy behind the door. He was pushed forward by his inner desire and no one saved him.
This door was opened to him, the gate to hell.
On the verge of despair, he finally gained a little courage and suddenly pushed Su Xitang.
Because of too much force, the man was pushed by him and staggered, while he himself tumbled out of the bed in utter confusion.
Su Xitang’s face showed surprise for the first time. He looked at the young man who fell to the ground trying to get up, but it seemed as if he had just exhausted all his strength with his move. After several unsuccessful attempts, the young man gave up the attempt and no longer cared about his completely naked body. The young man looked at him maliciously. Yes, bold, those glittering and translucent cat eyes contained anger that needed to be erupted. He had not seen such vibrant eyes in a long time.
Because of anger, the eyes of the young, which were originally lovely, were now more like another feline, like a leopard with a vicious nature.
Su Xitang narrowed his eyes slightly.
He looked at the boy who had been cowardly and was now looking at him maliciously. He seemed to flinch again because of his fear of facing his eyes. He finally calmed down and looked at him. He forced his voice to conceal his fear.
“I don’t think my father, his spirit in heaven, would like to see such a scene.”
After Su An summoned up courage to say this sentence, he saw Su Xitang’s expression change.
He couldn’t describe his facial expression in detail, but had enough courage to peek at it. He began to tremble again, but it was a trembling that could no longer be concealed, as if a small mortal who was facing divine wrath.
But he was not going to throw in the towel at all. He was not going to bow down to the imposing manner and temptation of the man in front of him like Su An, who had already died.
Su An gritted his teeth and sat on the cold floor, stubbornly looking back at the man who looked down at him coldly.
Time seemed to have stopped, and after ten million years, Su An’s eyes were sore, but he forced himself not to blink so he wouldn’t shed tears.
Su Xitang suddenly moved. He got up and got out of bed. He stood in front of Su An. In the full-bodied shadow, he was as lofty as a deep cloud. He was very secretive.
Looking down at Su An for a while, Su Xitang did not take his clothes on the ground and turned and walked straight to the door.
As the man turned to leave, the originally condensed air gradually began to show signs of loosening.
“I will leave tomorrow morning.” Su An suddenly opened his mouth.
Su Xitang’s footsteps stopped, and the man’s bare straight back was as heavy as a tall stone tablet. Su An insisted on finishing his words.
“Tomorrow morning, I’ll pack up and leave, I will not appear in front of you again, so …”
“Thank you for taking care of me before.” The teenager expressed his thanks.
After the man left without any response, Su An, like an amnesty, collapsed and leaned against the bed. It took a long time for him to calm down and breathe.
After putting on his clothes, he simply treated the wound on his wrist and Su An began to look around the room. He found a suitcase in the wardrobe, opened it and found that there were already clothes and toiletries on display and a thick stack of money in an envelope.
Su An, who had committed suicide, had long thought of running away from home and running away from the villa and the man.
It was convenient for him.
Su An smiled and dragged the suitcase out to the bed.
There was a mobile phone on the table. It should be his. He unlocked the interface with his memory and found that the desktop wallpaper was a huge skull with a ferocious mouth.
How extreme and desperate was this child’s life? Su An didn’t bother turning on the light either. He just laid on the bed and changed the wallpaper of the system. The blue sky and grass was really fresh and lovely.
There were very few contacts in the address book. Apart from Su Xitang, the housekeeper and several important figures, the others missing were friends and relatives. Su An had deleted all the contact information of these people.
He rummaged everywhere for information, but found a locked folder in the library. The cover of the folder was a flower. It was the flower he had seen on the ivory scepter, Xifu Begona.
Su An paused for a moment and entered “Xitang” in the password field. He touched it lightly and entered the folder smoothly.
There were all photos of Su Xitang, mostly on the side or the back. It was not hard to guess that they were all taken by the teenager. However, even though it was taken without consent, the man in the picture was still handsome and had no bad angles.
Su An sighed, selected the folder, clicked “Delete” and clicked “OK” again in the pop-up dialog box.
It should have ended, and it would have ended.
As he thought, he fell asleep.
He thought that with such a big change, he would sleep until noon the next day. However, Su An did not sleep well and had a very uneasy dream.
In the dream, there was a small courtyard from his childhood. He was standing under the camera for the first time. He saw a glimpse of Zhang Luibai in the corner. There was a huge truck rushing towards him. At last, what was fixed was a man’s long and straight back. He could only see his pale neck, which was half bloody.
Su An suddenly opened his eyes.
The room was dark, and the distant horizon outside the window had already seen dim light and shadow.
Rubbing his hair, he took out his mobile phone and looked at the date, April 2. There was a remark under the date. Su An opened it and sat up after seeing the contents clearly.
There was only one simple sentence in the remark box: “Accompany my adoptive father to visit my father’s grave.”
Su An recalled that April 2 was the death day of his father Su Pai. Hard to recall, his mind only remembered a blurred young man’s face.
Su An sighed with emotion. He forgot his biological father’s appearance, but he had a one-sided love for his adoptive father. When he went to visit his biological father’s grave, the greatest significance was to be accompanied by his adoptive father.
For Su An, this was really a hateful and sad past.
Sitting on the bed for a while, Su An got up, took a set of clothes from the wardrobe and changed them. He neatly folded his pajamas and put them on the bed.
He looked down at his watch and saw it at 4: 50 am.
Two more breaths, Su An lifted the suitcase and walked step by step to the door of the room.
At the moment of opening the door, Su An felt that his breathing had stopped. He even made preparations for nothing outside the door.
He could accept that this was an illusion of death, a state of uncertainty after the disappearance of life, heaven or hell, or a complete end.
However, outside the door was a long corridor resting in the shadows.
There was a little fire under the corridor, and a man was sitting on the sofa beside the fire.
A circle of sofas was placed on the carpet around the European fireplace. The charcoal burning in the fireplace and the red fire tongue licked the dark charcoal, making crackling sparks from time to time. The marble mantle was like a magic gate, and it looked like it could take people across to the far west.
In the flickering light, the shadows were like wonderful paintings, casually tracing the outline of the figure on the sofa.
The man lowered his head as if he were meditating or resting. His hands folded in front of him and his long straight legs stretched out. He looked a little lazy but still full of some terrifying charm. It was as if the emperor who ended the court meeting could easily teach darkness and light to humbly take pride in being his cloak.
The originally lowered head rose to look at Su An.
Pale as a ghost and indifferent charming eyes.
Su An almost stopped breathing and his fingers carrying the suitcase also contracted involuntarily.
After a pause, he forced his stiff body to nod, then immediately removed his sight and took his luggage down the stairs.
The empty hall was silent but the crackling sound of charcoal burning was particularly clear, as if whipping his back.
Su An walked down the stairs step by step in the man’s cold sight. He was like a child fighting a childish war that broke his teeth but refused to admit defeat.
When he finally came to the hall on the first floor, he put his suitcase on the cold marble, but he was a little confused.
He wanted to leave directly, but the memo message on his mobile phone made him feel that he should ask.
Pa.
A piece of burning wood in the fireplace behind him suddenly made a loud crack.
As if it was an excuse, Su An turned his head back.
The man on the sofa stood up. He looked at his adopted son for a slight moment and spoke coldly. He spoke as coldly as he always did.
“Today is the anniversary of your father’s death. Come visit his grave with me.”
“Then you can leave.”
No nostalgia, no turning around, it proved that the young man named Su An devoted all his youth and enthusiasm before his death to nothing.
Su An stood in the dark, looking back.
Two young servants appeared and opened the gate.
Su An removed his sight and looked out of the door.
The sun came like a surging wave.
Like the Dawn Goddess Eos, she opened the dark cricket cage with her rose-like fingers. She dyed the dawn sky and spilled the extra paint on the door. The flash of light seemed like redemption.
Su An looked steadily at the door, unwilling to blink even because of the sharp pain of the sudden change of light. He looked at the layers of shimmering sun and at the city giants that were beginning to wake up.
The mythological era was long gone, but he could start a new life and pursue the same dream with the same soul.
In this magnificent and brave new world.
TN:
Eos is the goddess of dawn in ancient Greek mythology, corresponding to Aurora in ancient Roman mythology. Ancient Greek poets and painters always regarded Eos as an extremely beautiful goddess, while Homer [poet] often called her a goddess with “rose-like fingers”.
Eos fell in love with Tithonus, a beautiful young man on earth, but suffered from the fact that he was human while she was immortal as a goddess. She repeatedly begged Zeus to let Tithonus never die, and Zeus finally promised her that Tithonus would not die. She was so happy that she hurried to reunite with her loved one, but forgot to ask Zeus to let Tithonus not only “not die” but “live forever”. Later, she could only watch the strong young man she loved grow old. However, ten thousand years later, he lost all his strength and knowledge, and gradually shrank, eventually shrinking into a cricket. Eos had no choice but to put him in a cricket cage with tears in her eyes. Tithonus had long lost his ability to speak and would only accompany her with cricket chirping all day long.
