"Xiaobai, you eat it."
Chen Fan took out a piece of bread: "I have bread."
Xiaobai stared at Chen Fan, not moving.
Chen Fan, looking into her large, sapphire-like eyes, felt his heart melt.
"I can't cultivate yet, so if we encounter a powerful monster, we can only rely on your 'Lightning Cat Claws.'"
Chen Fan gently stroked Xiaobai's head and said, "Besides, the fish in that river are very strong. We'll need your attacks to catch them."
"So, if you eat and get your strength back, we'll be safer."
Xiaobai blinked, lowered her head, and ate the chicken leg.
After Xiaobai finished the chicken leg and drank some water, Chen Fan placed her on his shoulder, picked up the spear, and ran swiftly towards the southeast.
After Xiaobai's power was infused into him, his strength greatly increased, and he didn't feel tired at all while running!
Chen Fan even felt that he could run faster now, even if he carried a pig on his shoulder!
After running for another two li, a large river about seven to eight meters wide appeared in Chen Fan's line of sight.
Chenxing River...
"Be careful, there are many Level 2 and Level 3 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish in that river, and they are very powerful!"
Chen Fan put Xiaobai on the ground, and the two of them cautiously approached the river.
When they were about six meters from the riverbank, Chen Fan stopped and hid behind a large tree with Xiaobai.
According to the information he found on Qian Du, six meters was already within the attack range of the Blue-Scaled Demon Fish.
This distance was also the optimal range for Xiaobai's 'Lightning Cat Claws'... any further, and the attack power would significantly decrease.
Chen Fan peeked out from behind the tree, squinting his eyes. In his line of sight, system panels appeared in the Chenxing River...
【Monster Name】: Blue-Scaled Demon Fish
【Combat Level】: 1-3 (Ordinary)
【Race Level】: Medium Awakening
【Monster Attribute】: Water
【Monster Weakness】: Earth
【Race Skills】: Water Gun, Water Cannon Bomb
【Monster Status】: Joyful
【Monster Preference】: Likes to fight, attacks wildly at the slightest provocation
【Potential Level】: One Star
【Requirements for Level Breakthrough】: ...
【Race Evolution Path】: Two paths...
"What the heck, a bunch of battle maniacs?"
Chen Fan looked at the system panel, speechless.
A group of fish actually likes to fight and attacks wildly at the slightest provocation?
Chen Fan peeked out, quickly glancing at the large tree he was hiding behind and a two-meter-high green rock to his right.
Both the tree and the rock had many irregular holes... all marks left by the Blue-Scaled Demon Fish!
Chen Fan took a deep breath, feeling as if he had stumbled into a wolf's den.
If these attacks hit him, he would be shredded to pieces!
After a moment of contemplation, Chen Fan looked back at the Chenxing River.
"One, two, three... Is this for real? In just this section of the river, there are eight Level 3 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish and fifteen Level 2 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish?"
Chen Fan frowned, picked up a stone, and threw it into the Chenxing River.
"Plop!"
The stone fell into the water.
The next moment...
"Splat!"
"Splat!"
"Splat!"
A dense array of water guns, shaped like sharp cones, shot over!
Some of the water guns hit the tree, causing it to shake and making a loud noise!
Others flew past the tree and hit the rocks and tree trunks further away, creating holes in them.
"..."
Chen Fan was speechless.
It's a good thing these fish can't come ashore; if they could...
He couldn't fight them, so he had to retreat.
He decided to change the location.
It was ridiculous to fight a group of fish armed with 'guns' with just a spear.
Chen Fan waved his hand, decisively leading Xiaobai back five meters, then followed the Chenxing River downstream.
A few minutes later...
"Meow!"
Xiaobai tugged at Chen Fan's pants, pointing to the left.
Chen Fan looked over and immediately smiled...
A small puddle!
A small stream branched off from the Chenxing River, forming a puddle less than three meters in diameter in a low-lying area!
Chen Fan gestured, and he and Xiaobai approached the puddle.
He hid behind a rock about three meters from the puddle and peeked out...
System panels appeared.
Six Level 1 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish, one Level 2 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish!
No Level 3!
Chen Fan was overjoyed.
He couldn't handle Level 3, but could he not handle a Level 2?
Chen Fan picked up a stone about a foot in diameter and threw it into the puddle.
"Plop!"
The stone hit the water, splashing high.
Water columns shot out from the water at an angle.
But since the puddle's surface was more than a meter above the ground, the water columns either hit the mud or flew into the air, posing no threat to Chen Fan and Xiaobai, who were crouching on the ground.
Suddenly...
Two apple-sized, shimmering water bubbles floated up from the edge of the puddle.
"..."
Chen Fan was stunned, then his face changed drastically. He picked up Xiaobai and leaped behind a green rock!
"Boom!"
"Boom!"
Just as Chen Fan was gritting his teeth from the impact against the rock, the two water bubbles on the other side of the rock exploded like bombs!
This was the Level 2 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish's skill, 'Water Cannon Bomb'!
Chen Fan had seen this skill in the system panel before.
He never expected...
Chen Fan struggled to his feet, looked over the rock, and saw that the other side was pockmarked with holes from the water cannon bombs!
"How dare they..."
Chen Fan was still shaken, fuming with anger, and picked up a larger stone.
He cautiously peeked out from the puddle...
He saw the only Level 2 Blue-Scaled Demon Fish in the puddle spitting out a string of bubbles...
"Bubble bubble bubble!"
Chen Fan blinked, looking at Xiaobai: "This stupid fish is mocking us?"
Xiaobai nodded: "Yeah, yeah!"
Chen Fan was speechless.
He never imagined that one day he would be mocked by a fish.
"You're too arrogant!"
Chen Fan roared: "I will definitely catch you and roast you today!"
In the puddle, the fish's eyes showed disdain, and it spat out another string of bubbles.
"Bubble bubble bubble!"
Then, two of the bubbles suddenly grew larger and flew up.
"Here we go again!"
Chen Fan threw the large stone and ran away with Xiaobai.
The Blue-Scaled Demon Fish's water guns were fast, but the water cannon bombs were much slower, floating in the air. As long as he was a bit careful, it was almost impossible to get hit.
Sure enough...
When Chen Fan and Xiaobai ran about seven to eight meters away, the bubbles floated out of the puddle and exploded like bombs after less than four seconds.
A series of sharp water columns shot out in all directions.
