He smiled and held out his hand as she walked through the blizzard and stood beside him, placing her hand on his palm.
Su Qiuzi did only know a little bit about dancing, she had only watched others dance at the Su family’s banquet and then drilled her steps which she knew that she would never make it to the stage.
She was held in the arms of He Yu, the dance steps were a bit chaotic and snowflakes were falling and melting in her ears, accompanied by the man’s whispered instructions. Su Qiuzi’s ears were hot, she looked down at her feet slightly, her movements were a bit clumsy.
Lin Qing said that her encounter with him was like a story of Cinderella and the prince. She had a wicked stepmother and step-sister who were then rescued from the Su family by He Yu.
She made fun of Lin Qing for seeing marriage as too dreamy, and now she’s right in the middle of it. He Yu was an elegant and noble prince, she danced with him in the snow with her crystal shoes.
The wind was a little chilly, but Su Qiuzi kept dancing until her body was warm, the town’s music changed from Bach to Boccherini, the town was welcoming the first snow of the year and she was immersed in the romance that He Yu was giving her, unable to extricate herself.
The girl laughed happily, her eyes were slightly curved. Occasionally she would take a wrong dance step and she would falter, looking up at him again, her brown eyes glowing warmly.
When she made another wrong step, Su Qiuzi was embarrassed, but when she tried to retrace her steps, He Yu tightened the hand on her waist. Suddenly, she crashed into his arms and, while being dazed, He Yu picked her up and carried her across the room. The door closed, he dropped her, pressing her against it.
His breath was burning and turbulent, spurting down to the side of her neck. The fireplace’s fire was dim, but in the dark light, Su Qiuzi’s eyes were bright, she looked up at him and called He Yu, “Hubby.”
The soft voice was like a grip on his heart, catching his body’s desire and expectation out as well. He responded by lowering his head and kissing her.
The enclosed, warm interior cut off the bitterness of the first snow outside and gradually eroded the chill of the ground they were caught in. They kissed from the doorway to the bedroom and finally to the bed.
The man was like a wolf lurking in the snow, he shed his gentle elegance, passionate and overbearing, wanting to strip her of her skin and bones. Su Qiuzi closed her eyes and was swallowed by him in hazy, disordered breaths.
When it was over, Su Qiuzi’s body felt like it was being disassembled and reassembled and she was sweating a thin layer of sweat as she was held in He Yu’s arms. It was like He Yu was trying to engrave him into her body just now, and she hadn’t snapped out of that feeling yet.
He Yu sobered up a bit, and they hugged each other, watching the snow drifting outside the window together. He kissed her, his voice slightly hoarse, and asked, “Are you happy?”
“Happy.” Su Qiuzi replied, leaning back into his chest after she said that. She was having a really good time these past few days and the three days they had together felt very short. The time seemed to pass by, but her mind was stuffed with memories of him, keeping her eyes open, and her mouth shut.
Su Qiuzi turned around, she would be leaving tomorrow and she wanted to speak to He Yu about what was in her heart right now. She looked at He Yu with a smile and said to him, “I’ve never been so happy, thank you hubby, I’m very happy to be with you.”
The man looked at her quietly, his eyes had a depth in them that Su Qiuzi had never seen before.
“I’ve always been alone too.” He Yu said as he looked at the tiny light in the girl’s eyes and lowered his head to kiss her ear, he added, “Thank you for giving me a place to put my warmth.”
This was also his heartfelt words, Su Qiuzi heard him say such words for the first time if one thought about it, he was indeed all alone. Since his parents divorced at a young age, growing up according to his grandfather’s expectations, he hid his loneliness under tenderness, like an island floating in the ocean.
They were a couple destined for each other, giving each other a home.
Su Qiuzi would have a morning flight, so the couple got up early, ate breakfast, sorted out the luggage, He Yu then sent her to the airport.
Yesterday it snowed in the middle of the night and the ground was covered with a thin layer of snow. Su Qiuzi felt quite lucky that it rarely snowed in Christchurch, but it happened to be met by her the night before she left.
Arriving at the airport, boarding half an hour early, the two of them came out of the lounge and walked towards the gate. Su Qiuzi asked about He Yu’s work plans for today, he had been playing with her for the past few days, his work was delayed a bit, after sending her away, he would have to go back to work.
At the boarding gate, the two of them stood still, He Yu took her boarding documents and carefully instructed her on some precautions. Su Qiuzi listened quietly, took the documents he handed over, looked up at him, and said, “You won’t be able to kiss me when I’m gone.”
The man looked startled, and after a long while, a light smile appeared in his ink-colored eyes. He took her in his arms, bowed his head and kissed her, saying, “I’ll miss you.”
When the soft lips touched together, Su Qiuzi’s heartbeat was slightly messed up, she smiled and said, “I’ll miss you too.”
When boarding time arrived, Su Qiuzi pulled her luggage and said goodbye to He Yu, she turned around and entered the boarding gate, her lips still retaining the man’s warmth, some soreness swelling in her heart.#pleasereadthischapteratfoxaholic.com
The moment she left the boarding gate, her phone beeped with a text message. Su Qiuzi took her phone out and smiled when she saw the text message on it.
[Husband: Wait for my return.]
With her eyes a little heated, Su Qiuzi smiled and topped the text message, her heart was warm, and she wanted to treasure the warmth that He Yu placed in her heart.
Looking back at the empty corridor, before she even left, she already started to miss him.
