Chapter 12 – Push

“This is crazy. It’s crazy, Milady.”

Nicky stamped her feet and whispered softly next to her. Estelle glanced at her maid.

“I didn’t say anything.”

“You’ll regret it, really. Phew, I don’t know anymore!”

At Nicky’s words, who grew up with her since childhood, Estelle closed her mouth and pretended not to know. Closing my eyes and ears. I don’t know. I don’t know. Nicky sighed while watching Estelle.

“Whew, I really really don’t know. It’s up to you.”

“…are you going to keep it a secret?”

“What’s a secret?”

Nicky’s eyes glared.

“It looks like there will be a rumor going around all over the capital.”

He couldn’t see under the terrace where Nicky was standing, but Estelle smiled embarrassedly.

“That’s why I brought him…”

“I really don’t know!”

“Hey, we’re just going to eat. We’re not going to do anything.”

“Gosh!”

Nicky answered with a grimace.

“You really don’t know anything!”

What do you mean you don’t know? I know everything. Estelle sighed with her chin on her hand.

She came to the most famous restaurant in the capital. A restaurant that operates on the kingdom’s only recipe. Although it was very difficult to book because it was popular with everyone, Estelle booked the best seat in the restaurant in the name of Princess Dalia.

It was a place where one could look out on the terrace, but no one couldn’t hear their conversation. However, it was inevitable to see them on their way.

Of course she’s not here alone. She was with Phil.

“It’s hot. It’s hot today.”

Estelle fanned her hand. It was because she was embarrassed.

It’s already been five days since the man who said he was free.

She swore she didn’t know it was going to be like this. It happened naturally. Estelle thought she wanted to see the man one more time, but she had a lot of thoughts when she accepted the offer.

For example, she thought that there was no need to stick together even in the dressing room. Right? Although he asks ‘Moa’ for help, by nature there are clerks who serve customers in those types of stores.

However, as soon as they entered the dressing room, the story changed. Estelle introduced the man to the clerk and he said to show her some fabric to make a decent dress. The clerk smiled and took the man with him and pulled out five or six pieces of cloth.

“What do you think? It’s a fabric that women really like these days.”

“Is that so?”

“This pink is a new color, it’s really pretty, isn’t it? And this silk is pulled from the cocoons made by silkworms eating magical feed, and it glows…”

The clerk’s explanation was long and lengthy. Estelle, who was choosing the lace for her clothes nearby, was so embarrassed. He wasn’t even embarrassed to come up with such a ridiculous cloth from the beginning, but soon Estelle realized it. That means the clerk is playing some sort of trick.

Magic fabrics are so expensive that the average person on the budget would ask for something else. He’s just offering ordinary cloth. No matter what she looks at behind the expensive magic fabric, it looks cheaper than one thinks. Normally, it would be annoying to Estelle, but if he bought a little expensive fabric…

“Will she like it? Everything looks good to me…”

“Of course!”

“Then give me everything.”

It was that word that made Estelle jump up.

Estelle approached the man straight away and preached to him, ‘When making clothes later, the thread must be enchanted, and the seamstress must also use someone who can do magic’. The young man opened his eyes wide and said, ‘Is that so?’ and smiled kindly again. When he came to his senses, Estelle was taking the lead instead of him, picking out good fabrics at reasonable prices.

Something similar happened to the other stores they stopped by. He finally interfered with Estelle by replying that it was all right for clerks to recommend goods at jewelry stores, letter paper stores, small candy stores, and cosmetics stores.

Never mind, never mind… No matter how many times he repeated it, Estelle was meddling in the man’s business. Viscount Duran’s second daughter, who is a strong lady, could not stand a young man who uses his money like that anyway!

‘’Really, capital merchants! They’re just trying to leech off a young man who doesn’t know anything!’’ Towards the courageous Estelle, the young man said, ‘’I’m not that ignorant of things, but…’’

‘’Listen, Phil. Those who know the truth won’t buy a magic cloth.’’

‘’But I’d like to buy something nice. I heard that women’s things are originally expensive.’’

“Oh, Phil.”

Estelle nagged with her hand on her waist.
