“You seem a bit like someone I know.”
“Ah.”
Estelle nodded her head. And she was deeply disappointed.
Because, unfortunately, Estelle Duran was very accustomed to this kind of approach. Do you not know me? I know you! Have we ever met before? Thanks to the many men who approached her before.
However, she was disappointed and excited on the other hand. She was disappointed that this man also tried to approach her in a common way, and nevertheless, her heart was pounding in the hope that he had positive feelings for her.
However, in reality, the man nodded with a smile on his face that seemed like he never had any motive.
“I’m Phil.”
It was indescribable to say that it was refreshing enough to remind me of the sea in the summer capital. Her smiling man politely asked her to escort her.
How refreshing that smile is.
“May I escort you from where you came from?”
Of course you can.
Estelle was a little pleased inside and carefully placed her hand on his arm. This is because she was afraid that anyone would find fault if a woman before marriage was escorted by a strange man. Fortunately, there weren’t many people in the floating garden. It’s probably because it’s the hot season.
“May I ask where you’re from?”
“I’m from far away.”
Seeing him avoid his place of origin, he didn’t seem to want to answer. As Estelle hesitated, the man added coolly.
Does that mean you came far away for work? Or do you mean you don’t want to reveal where you’re from because of work? Phil did not add an explanation. But Estelle didn’t ask any more.
If there’s something this guy doesn’t say, there’s a good reason… I guess.
Even so, there was no shadiness in the young man’s age, looking up and down at her. That’s all. The good, overwhelmingly masculine line, the straight jawline and the gently curved lip line up, were breathtakingly attractive.
His eyes were sharp, so she thought he might look scary when he was expressionless at first glance, but the way he looked at her was smiling the whole time. So there was no room for fear.
It was when the two walked out of the park, chatting happily. Suddenly, the man said, “Wait a minute,” asking Estelle for her understanding and approaching someone. There were two children stamping their feet under a big tree in the park.
One was half crying, and the other looked awkward, and when he approached the tree, there was another child. However, the child was hanging upside down from the tree. The children rejoiced as soon as an adult approached.
“Help!”
The man asked softly.
“What’s going on?”
It was a very safe park, but it was embarrassing to see the three children doing this. The crying boy was whining and explained while holding the man’s pants.
“She’s Mimi and she said she can fly…”
While the child was talking, a child who was listening with them shouted loudly up there.
“No! I can fly!”
The children below immediately refuted.
“You can’t fly!”
“You can’t come down!”
Apparently, a child who had just mastered magic was trying to show off that she could fly, but she was caught in a big tree and became embarrassed. Estelle curled her lips quickly and asked. It was because she was about to laugh. It’s a huge disaster for the children, but the sight of the child hanging on was a little ridiculous.
“Wait, guys. I’ll call the park ranger.”
Estelle mentioned that she’ll call the park ranger but the man was faster than her.
“Wait.”
The tall man pounded the tree with his foot a couple of times, then jumped straight up and grabbed a large branch. Estelle made a loud noise in surprise.
“Oh, my God, you’ll get hurt!”
But the man looked back at Estelle and smiled.
“That’s all right.”
“Wow…”
“You look like a squirrel!”
Squirrel. He was such a big man that she wondered if she could say so, but she couldn’t deny it because of his agile movements. While the children admired, Phil held a child hanging from a tree with one hand.
As soon as the child was put down, the other children rushed in.
“Mimi! Are you okay Mimi?”
“Are you okay? Does it hurt?”
“It doesn’t hurt at all!”
The child groaned. Perhaps he wasn’t afraid of anything when came down from the tree, but the respectful eyes of the other children turned to Phil.
“Wow.”
“Mimi, you should say thank you!”
Only then did the child hesitate belatedly and nodded her head, saying, “Thank you.”
“From now on, do magic in the presence of adults. Got it?
“You’re mad…”
It meant that if she used magic recklessly in the presence of adults, she would be scolded. Phil next to her made a stern face.
“If it’s a bad thing, you shouldn’t do it any more.” [Phil]
“What do you say, Mimi? When you grow up, you can do any kind of magic. But if you get greedy now, you might not even be able to be an adult. Okay?”
Estelle opened her eyes wide. She was quite specific to say that she shouldn’t do it. Phil belatedly noticed Estelle’s gaze and ended the conversation with an awkward smile.
“Us adults are worried.” [Phil]
“Yes.” [Estelle]
“Yes…” [Children]
Then the children sprinted away. Estelle looked at the children and then turned to Phil. Phil shrugged his shoulders.
“Kids have small magic barrels. If they didn’t get caught in a tree, they’d also probably fall to the floor sooner or later. But…”
“Children get seriously injured if they fall from that height.”
“Yes.”
He smiled. And then he gently grabbed her arm that had been moving her steps forward.
“Be careful.”
It was a warning to watch out for the small stone at her feet. She couldn’t even tell how bright and refreshing her tone was. It naturally made her heart flutter a little.
It was her first time to meet Phil but she was surprisingly comfortable.
‘My friend, the face is important. Okay? Even if he’s a man who’s quiet and only says one word an hour, it’s always good if he’s handsome. His face should be the highlight.’
Saying that, she thinks she can understand Dalia’s feelings of meeting only handsome men. On top of that, there was no need to say that he was good at speaking. It’s been a long time since she has been happy. Estelle thought, rubbing her face softly as her cheekbone hurt because she smiled so brightly without realizing it.
‘If I had a relationship before marriage, I wanted to date a man like this…’
