The Blessing of Many Gods

Kyo was just an ordinary high school student.

His grades were average, neither particularly good nor bad.

He wasn't especially good at sports, but he wasn't bad either.

If one were to look for something in which he excelled over others, it might be that he was "just a little luckier."

The day of a trip he had been looking forward to was a clear, cloudless day.

When he bought ice cream, he won one in five times.

In rock-paper-scissors, he would often make it to the final round, but not always win.

That was the extent of his luck.

Even Kyo himself only thought, "Hmm? Maybe I'm a bit lucky?" in a quiet, almost unnoticed way.

Now, Kyo found himself in a "different world."

That day, while on his usual way home, Kyo was suddenly hit by a dizzy spell.

The next moment, after feeling a darkness that made it impossible to stand straight, he found himself in a completely unfamiliar world.

It was a world that could be recognized as a different one at first glance.

First, there were two suns in the sky.

Among the people around him, some occasionally had animal ears, and others were lizard-like beings walking and talking on two legs.

"What is this place? When did I fall asleep?"

Looking around, Kyo saw that the buildings and the ground were made of stone, a town that looked like it was straight out of a medieval fantasy.

"Hey, you! You're in the way!"

"Huh?"

Behind him was a carriage, and it seemed Kyo was blocking the path, preventing it from moving forward.

"S-Sorry, I'll move now."

Startled by the sudden address, Kyo quickly moved out of the way.

"Really, what a hick!"

The carriage driver snorted and drove past Kyo, who could only watch in a daze.

"Where am I exactly?"

Finally reaching this question, Kyo decided to assess his current situation. It was then that he first noticed his clothes were not his school uniform.

"What's with these clothes?"

In a word, they looked like something a game adventurer would wear.

He had a leather chest plate over his shirt and a leather headband on his forehead.

Thoughtfully, there was even a sword at his waist.

On the opposite side of his waist, there was a leather bag containing about 20 coins of various types, likely the currency of this world.

"At least I'm not penniless, but what should I do now?"
