After Annie and her sister cautiously sat down to the right of Li Mu, Li Mu nodded slightly and picked up the fork with his left hand.

As Li Mu made a move, it was as if he had given an order; Annie and her sister immediately grabbed their knives and forks. On the other side, the red mutant parrot skillfully picked up the cutlery with its claws and awkwardly laid on the table.

Charlie's blood-red eyes flashed with a hint of impatience, but he still obediently grabbed the cutlery with his grotesque, spiky hand. However, no one hurried to enjoy the steak, all eyes were on the newly arrived zombie.

The zombie's vacant eyes gradually cleared, turning blood-red again, and a疯狂 and bloodthirsty aura erupted. Annie instinctively reached out to grab her sister, looking at the zombie with fear.

The zombie, freed from Li Mu's control, felt the human presence, and its blood-red eyes became even more violent and insane. With a roar, it leaped from the chair without hesitation and pounced towards Annie.

Bang!

Black spines suddenly rose from behind Li Mu, directly knocking the new zombie away. The zombie rolled on the ground a few times, growling as it got up, roaring at Li Mu with fear, but its desire for the living filled every inch of its flesh and blood.

It circled the sofa a few times, its blood-red eyes never leaving Annie and the little girl. With a step, it transformed into a blur and pounced at Annie again.

Bang!

The zombie was fast, but the black spines behind Li Mu were faster. After knocking the zombie away again, the fork in Li Mu's left hand began to twist and deform.

Annie noticed Li Mu's movement and instinctively covered her sister's eyes, closing her own eyes as well.

"Idiot," the red mutant parrot silently spat out, glancing at Charlie.

Charlie buried his head, his body trembling, not daring to look at Annie and her sister.

Roar!

A sharp scream. After being knocked away twice by Li Mu, the zombie seemed not to sense Li Mu's killing intent. It got up from the ground without hesitation, its brain, eroded by the Dead Virus, made it pounce again towards Annie and the little girl, driven by their desirable human scent.

Li Mu's left hand moved suddenly, the fork he held completely twisted, transforming into a blur and shooting out, pinning the pouncing zombie to the ground. The not-so-sharp fork, in Li Mu's hands, was as powerful as a large-caliber sniper bullet, instantly piercing the zombie's forehead.

With a thud, the zombie fell to the ground, blood slowly flowing out.

The atmosphere was almost stagnant. Li Mu sat motionless in his chair, his face under the black glasses expressionless, but everyone shivered involuntarily. The sound of cutlery clinking began, and everyone started eating without speaking.

Li Mu remained motionless, expressionless, sitting quietly as if petrified.

Charlie clumsily stuffed a whole piece of grilled steak into his mouth, swallowing it whole. The steak, carefully prepared by Annie, tasted like wax to Charlie. If possible, he would prefer to eat raw meat, preferably with some fresh, uncoagulated blood.

But with Li Mu present, Charlie could only suppress his desire for blood and swallow the steak, which was delicious to Annie and the little girl. After finishing, he didn't dare to stand up, his blood-red eyes staring foolishly at the little girl.

The red mutant parrot, on the other hand, cut the steak slowly and methodically. Although it was just a bird, after mutating, its habits seemed to be gradually aligning with humans. At least, the carefully prepared steak was a good treat for the red mutant parrot.

The little girl quickly finished the steak on her plate, still feeling unsatisfied. For this poor child, the somewhat greasy steak might not have been a favorite in the past, but now, being able to eat steak was a luxury beyond reach for anyone.

So, the little girl greedily licked the oil from her lips, savoring the taste.

Li Mu's face under the black glasses was unreadable. He gently pushed the largest, best, and most perfectly cooked steak in front of him to the little girl.

"Thank you," the little girl said softly, not daring to look at Li Mu, lowering her head to continue eating.

Li Mu remained expressionless, sitting quietly. When the little girl finished the second steak and put down her cutlery with satisfaction, Li Mu nodded and stood up, walking into the master bedroom.

As soon as Li Mu left, the red mutant parrot became arrogant. "Idiot, go dispose of the other idiot. Woman, clean up and bring me my wine and cigars."

"Understood," Annie quickly led her sister to clear the table and leave the dining room.

Charlie's blood-red eyes followed the little girl's figure, growling softly, wanting to follow. The red mutant parrot mocked him, lying on the sofa in a spread-eagle position. "Idiot, if you don't dispose of the other idiot soon, believe me, your fate will be terrible!"

Charlie turned to the red mutant parrot, growling, a hint of savagery in his eyes. The tension between the zombie and the bird was palpable.

Annie didn't pay attention to this. She and her sister washed the dishes, knowing that the outcome in the living room would be the same.

Sure enough, when Annie and her sister came out of the kitchen, both Charlie and the red mutant parrot were gone from the living room.

The body of the zombie Li Mu had killed had also disappeared. Annie turned her head, instinctively looking towards the door. Outside, the red mutant parrot's angry screams could be heard. "Idiot, you're a big idiot! I've been tricked by you again! I should be enjoying wine and cigars, not fighting with you, you idiot!"

Then came the sound of a fight, interspersed with Charlie's loud gulping of flesh and blood. Clearly, the zombie Li Mu had killed had become Charlie's meal.

The sky had completely darkened. Annie and her sister cleaned the bloodstains in the living room, gave her sister a bath, and put her to bed. After watching her sister fall asleep, Annie lit a candle and continued writing in her diary under the candlelight.

"Today, Li Mu brought his new friend back. But the friend he thought he had, in the end, was not a friend. A strange feeling, even though he killed a zombie, even though he was the one who inflicted violence, why do I feel a bit of pain for him?"

"He is so different, so unique, so unlike the other zombies."

"Among these zombies, he is looking for a kindred spirit, but he can never find one. I think he must be very lonely."

Annie wrote the last sentence, closed her notebook, and opened the window. She could hear the ethereal singing from the next room. She couldn't help but want to see how lonely Li Mu was in the next room.
