Chapter 4

Class was about to start, and Ji Tianyu returned to his seat. He pulled out the fountain pen from his pocket, curiously twisted it, and to his surprise, a black tip emerged from the bottom, just like a ballpoint pen!

How peculiar! Ji Tianyu fiddled with it for a while, then casually drew a couple of lines on the back of his hand to see if it could write!

However, a shocking scene unfolded before his eyes. The fountain pen, with its blue luster, began to slowly sink into the back of his hand!

"Ah! Damn!" Ji Tianyu let out a cry, frantically scratching and pulling at his hand!

In just over a second, when the other students turned to look at Ji Tianyu, the pen had completely disappeared into the back of his left hand!

"What's wrong?" Dong Yu turned to look at Ji Tianyu, puzzled!

"Uh... nothing, nothing!" Ji Tianyu, drenched in cold sweat, swallowed a few times and nervously scratched his head!

If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes and experienced it himself, Ji Tianyu would never have believed that a pen he had found in a bird's nest could act like a leech, burrowing into human flesh!

Ji Tianyu was flustered and anxious. Despite usually being calm and composed, he was just a nineteen-year-old young man! He had never encountered anything like this before...

Would he die? Would the pen suck out his flesh and blood, leaving him a skeleton? Or would it cause a mutation, turning him into a strange creature from a sci-fi movie?

The class bell rang, and the English teacher stood at the podium with a stack of thick test papers!

"This class is for a preliminary test! We have only a month and a half until the exams! This test is mainly to..." The English teacher's words went in one ear and out the other for Ji Tianyu. He only knew that another test was coming!

The test papers were passed from the front row to the back. Ji Tianyu wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and tried to calm down!

"What's wrong? You look so pale. Are you feeling unwell?" Dong Yu, who was passing the test paper to Ji Tianyu, turned back and asked, surprised by his flustered and pale face!

"Nothing... nothing..." Ji Tianyu waved his hands, his palms drenched in sweat!

"Oh..." Dong Yu's long lashes flickered, and she sat up straight!

Looking at the test papers in front of him, Ji Tianyu found it hard to concentrate. He wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeve, filled in his name, and looked at the English multiple-choice questions!

"I've done this question before..." Ji Tianyu slowly calmed down, but he was still a bit lost. He had done it before, but the answer... he had forgotten!

As Ji Tianyu struggled to recall, a loud noise echoed in his mind: "Search system activated... reading..."

Ji Tianyu was once again stunned by the images and sounds that appeared in his mind. What was that?

"Energy points remaining: 36, low..." What? What are all these random things appearing in my mind?

For half the class, Ji Tianyu didn't write a single word, just panted heavily! What was that pen? How could it mess with his mind for so long, acting like an intelligent machine with a search engine?

With a head full of questions, Ji Tianyu helplessly rubbed his forehead!

The English teacher walked slowly around the classroom with her hands behind her back. When she reached Ji Tianyu's side and saw the blank test paper, she was taken aback!

"Why haven't you started answering? It's been half the class!" The English teacher adjusted her glasses and asked, surprised!

"Uh... I will!" Ji Tianyu quickly replied, picked up the pen, and glanced at the first question...

"Activate search function?" Ji Tianyu gritted his teeth and chose "yes"!

"Activating search function requires 2 energy points. Continue?"

"…Yes."

"Search results loading..." Ji Tianyu blinked in amazement. A screen-like image appeared in his mind, with a progress bar rapidly advancing.

Wiping the cold sweat from his forehead, Ji Tianyu swallowed hard. It was already like this, so he might as well see what it was!

In less than a second, after switching through countless programs, Ji Tianyu's mind directly provided the answer!

"Is it c?" Ji Tianyu hesitantly filled in the answer!
