Rui Li casually replied, “We met at the entrance.”

“Another coincidence? I simply don’t believe there’s so many coincidental occasions.”

Nan Fengyan coughed and squinted as he cast a glance at Rui Li. He was radiating with male hormones and his brows were lifted.

Standing not far away, Xia Roulin made an eye signal to one of her close friends. The young miss immediately walked toward Xia Weilan with a smile on her face.

She said with a weird aura, “Miss Xia, since President Mo is absent today, I guess he must have sent you a gift. Why don’t you show it to us so that we can catch a glimpse of it?”

“That’s right. President Mo gave Miss Roulin a bracelet for her birthday last year.”

Those who were around those young ladies were able to hear what they’ve said.

Everyone was guessing that since there were rumors about Miss Xia having an extraordinary relationship with President Mo, he should have bought her something. If he didn’t show up and didn’t even prepare any presents, perhaps…

“Is there a need to show others what’s going on with their personal life?” Seeing that Xia Weilan remained quiet, Rui Li immediately stepped up to defend her.

Meanwhile, Xia Roulin was holding her chin with a hand, smiling sweetly as she showed off the bracelet around her wrist. She didn’t expect that Nan Fengyan would suddenly ruin her plan.

Xia Roulin who was boasting to others of her importance to Mo Beichen was totally speechless now.

Nan Fengyan said to Xia Weilan, “Sis-in-law, you are my sis-in-law. Those who waved the chicken feather like a token of authority will only humiliate themselves.”

Someone shouted and everybody turned their head at once toward the main entrance.

A man dressed in a suit and leather shoes stode over. His eyes were bright, nose was straight and his thin lips were slightly pursed. He appeared elegant and cold. The aura that surrounded him was like a spotlight that had casted its beam on him.

The man locked his sight on Xia Weilan and walked straight to where she stood.

The few ladies who intended to humiliate Xia Weilan froze. They stared at the man approaching their direction and it seemed as though god had arrived. They were so stunned that they even forgot to breathe.

“Wei Lan!” Mo Beichen walked beside Xia Weilan and held her hand gently. His sight was gentle and he looked elegant.

“Hey!” Nan Fengyan was feeling sour. “Can you be a bit more considerate. I am still a bachelor.”

Mo Beichen casted a faint look at Nan Fengyan, “Single for a month?”

“What da heck. Mo-ge, I shielded Sis-in-law from a lot of things on your behalf just now. And now you’re repaying me with ingratitude!” Nan Fengyan started at Rui Li nervously. He said in a declarative manner, “I changed partners previously due to the needs to socialize. Mo-ge, you need to explain this quickly!”.

Mo Beichen didn’t expect that Nan Fengyan was really serious about this. He thought for a while before saying to Rui Li, “That’s right. Although he might look like a play-boy, in fact, he never does anything ruthless.”

Seeing that the two men in front of her were talking for each other, it was rare for her to be blushing. She reached out her hand and emptied the glass of wine in her hand with a gulp.

At this moment, Mo Beichen suddenly stared deeply at Xia Weilan as he took out a box from his pocket, “Happy Birthday!”

Xia Weilan never expected that Mo Beichen would give her a present in front of everyone. It was unlike his usual low profile personality.

She fluttered her lashes as she subconsciously accepted the gift. She opened the box curiously and saw a refined necklace inside it. One could easily tell from a glance that it’s a highly valuable piece.

“Do you like it?” Mo Beichen leaned closer to her.

“Yes!”

“Let me help you to put it on,” said Mo Beichen gently.

In fact, the reason why he took so long to park his car was to retrieve this necklace.

The intimate conversation between the two made Nan Fengyan cringed. Without Rui Li’s approval, he immediately dragged her to the balcony.

Rui Li was very cooperative this time. When they were at the balcony, they heard birthday greetings behind them. Rui Li leaned on the balcony rails. She didn’t take a glance of what’s happening behind her as her mind was on the person beside her.

“Hey beautiful, may I have the honor to dance with you?” Nan Fengyan took some snacks and red wine. He placed it beside Rui Li and leaned beside her with a faint smile. His smile brightened up his handsome face and boosted his attractiveness to the maximum.

A look of complexity flashed across Rui Li’s eyes. It was obvious that the humorous guy in front of him had the playboy potential, but in fact, she could also sensed that he was very dedicated to a relationship.

She felt touched but she said calmly, “Are you doing this out of courtesy?”

She was also shocked as soon as the words slipped from her mouth.

These words were as if implying that she really cared about him. And surely enough, Nan Fengyan’s eyes brightened and he immediately said, “I am officially courting you. I didn’t do this out of courtesy.”

“I’m not free!” Rui Li closed her eyes. By the time she opened her eyes, they were extremely cold, just like the time when they first met.

She knew that he meant what he said. But she didn’t want to casually agree out of haste, especially when she never even thought about having a relationship in the first place.

“Then let me accompany you to hang out here to have some fresh air and drink!” Nan Fengyan wasn’t upset. Regardless of what, he just wanted to stay by her side.

Rui Li secretly let out a sigh and remained silent.

Perhaps the evening wind really helped her to unwind or perhaps the moonlight always possessed mesmerizing power, without her realizing, Rui Li followed Nan Fengyan’s lead to the dance floor.

She was like a butterfly that danced in the wind, gracefully dancing with his lead. She became the most alluring flower among the entire banquet hall.
