When Sun Meimei saw Xia Weilan, her eyes brightened up immediately.

“Xia Weilan, are you behind all this?!” Sun Meimei blocked Xia Weilan’s path and it just crossed her mind that her family went bankrupt right after she instructed someone to rob Xia Weilan. All this was too much of a coincidence.

“What are you implying?” Xia Weilan looked at her suspiciously and noticed that her eyes were blood red. It seemed like she hadn’t slept well for a few days.

Sun Meimei’s heart was filled with anger and she had nowhere to vent. She gritted her teeth and suddenly softened her tone, “Regardless if it is you or not, I apologize for what I did to you previously. I will be transferring to another school soon. We’ll be walking our separate ways soon.”

Xia Weilan felt that Sun Meimei’s was implying something. But Sun Meimei immediately left for the principal’s office after she finished her words.

“Rui Li, what do you think is wrong with her? She’s acting strange.”

“Maybe she had done too many bad things and got her retribution.” Rui Li said as she stared at Sun Meimei’s back.

“Let’s go. We still have to go to the library.” Rui Li patted at Xia Weilan’s shoulder.

After Sun Meimei dropped out of school, she looked devastated. She staggered to the car and returned home.

The moment she opened the door, several police officers were already waiting there, “Are you Sun Meimei?”

Her heart skipped a beat and she immediately fled. However, the policeman who had been waiting at the corner quickly rushed out and pinned her onto the ground.

“Let go of my daughter. She didn’t do anything! There must have been a mistake.” Mrs Sun heard the movement and looked at Sun Meimei in distress. She wanted to rush over, but she was stopped by the officers.

“Take her away,” The policeman said ruthlessly.

“Why are you taking me? My family has already gone bankrupt, why are you still taking me?” Sun Meimei kept yelling.

Mr Sun, who was already heartbroken from being bankrupt immediately asked, “Hold it! Did you offend anyone?”

“Dad!” Sun Meimei wanted to say something, but she was dragged into the car and escorted away.

“Where’s the law? Who the hell is scheming us? I need to get to the bottom of this!” Mr Sun immediately chased after them.

In the police station.

Sun Meimei was detained in the room.

Mr Sun rushed to the police station and asked, “What crime did my daughter commit?”

This has become the topic of discussion during leisure time and the story had gotten so muddled up that some thought that Sun Meimei was arrested for robbing out of poverty.

After connecting a few things, Xia Weilan immediately figured out that Sun Meimei was the mastermind behind that robbery.

“Weilan, she needs to pay for what she’s done. Don’t think too much.” Rui Li stared at Xia Weilan over the dining table.

“Mmm, I know.” Xia Wei said dully.

Rui Li continued to lower her head to eat. In her heart, she clearly realized the fact that a small family like them can be easily destroyed with just a word from the rich. Her family is just merely running a few small scale supermarkets.

Nan Fengyan is different. His family runs big businesses and he is the only son in the family. So of course, they would want him to find someone with a background who can match his status.

Rui Li felt a tug on her heart and felt some sort of destiny ruling her life.

That evening, Xia Weilan was reading in the study and Mo Beichen was so busy that he got home around eight in the evening.

When she saw his exhausted face, she immediately helped him to take his coat and loosen his necktie. “Go take a shower first.”

“Okay.” Mo Beichen unbuttoned his shirt and took a fresh change of clothing into the bathroom. Before he walked into the bathroom, he suddenly said to her, “I have something to tell you later.”

Xia Weilan nodded. She wondered if he wanted to talk to her about Sun Meimei.

When Mo Beichen came out, he appeared less tired. He walked to her desk and said, “I need to go on a business trip tomorrow. I might be away for three days. The driver will transport you to school these few days.”

“What time tomorrow?” Xia Weilan stood up abruptly and asked.

“Tomorrow early morning.” Mo Beichen said helplessly.

“Okay, I’ll help you to pack your luggage right away.” Xia Weilan rushed out immediately. Seeing that Mo Beichen appeared so exhausted and had to catch an early flight tomorrow, she couldn’t help but want to do something for him.

Mo Beichen walked to the bedroom and saw that Xia Weilan was standing in front of the closet, carefully packing his clothes into the luggage bag.

A warm sensation flowed through his heart and he felt as if the sun had cast its bright rays on him.

Xia Weilan packed while saying, “Did you make Sun Meimei apologize to me?”

“She apologized to you?” Mo Beichen was a little surprised, “But an apology is not enough.”

Xia Weilan paused and lifted her eyes to look at his expression. She pondered for a while and said, “Then let the law punish her.”

Xia Weilan didn’t know why she said so much. She thought about how Sun Meimei’s family went bankrupt recently and she knew that it must be Mo Beichen’s doing. She didn’t want to help anyone beg for mercy, but she doesn’t wish Mo Beichen to do anything for her anymore. Because it was already enough.

“Aren’t you angry?” Mo Beichen looked deeply at her eyes. Sun Meimei was really arrogant and he didn’t expect that XIa Weilan would actually plead for her.

“She had already paid the price. And that’s enough. I’m not wasting my time to get angry over this.” Xia Weilan curled her lips and smiled.

The atmosphere of the room warmed up. It seems as though she had the power to manipulate the atmosphere of her surroundings. And because of that, Mo Beichen let out a smile.

“Okay, I’ll listen to you.”

Xia Weilan zipped the luggage and placed it beside the closet, “Done.”

The next second, she felt a gentle tug on her and she fell into Mo Beichen’s arm. He whispered to her, “Don’t go flirting around while I’m away for the next few days.”

Xia Weilan blinked, “Me? Flirting around?”

“Uh huh. You’re really outstanding, so of course, there are some who were mesmerized by you. I know this very well.” Mo Beichen could always see the good things about Weilan. And thus, he felt that other men would also easily recognize that Xia Weilan is very special.

“Well, you are also very remarkable. And that makes us a perfect match.” Xia Weilan was delighted by his compliment and she couldn’t help but tease him.

Mo Beichen raised his eyebrows.
