Everyone stared oddly at Xia Weilan.

Xia Weilan is the top student in the design class. If she fails in achieving anything, there will be no hope for them.

Xia Weilan let out a bitter expression, and immediately sat upright, not daring to move anymore.

For the rest of the lesson, the teacher deliberately stared at Xia Weilan a couple of times as if she was watching out for a thief.

The first half of the class is about designing theory, and the second half of the class is about hands-on operations.

“Next, you will work in a group of two to design a piece of jewelry according to the color of the materials given.” After the teacher finished speaking, she glanced at Xia Weilan, “I want to see what’s the difference between the outcome of good students and bad students.”

“Weilan, I’m relying on you. I don’t know anything about designing.” Rui Li looked at Xia Weilan helplessly.

She is really not interested in designing.

Everyone knew that each material has its own characteristics. In terms of patterns or colors, they each have their own unique characteristics. So, it is necessary to follow the laws of nature when working on a design.

Xia Weilan fixed her eyes on a piece of pure white material. She said to Rui Li as if she had found a treasure, “Material that is white, smooth and light like this can be used to make a stunning tiny accessory.”

The teacher has been paying attention to Xia Weilan’s group. She saw that Xia Weilan didn’t choose the gold, silver or jade that ordinary people would choose, but took a piece of broken material and looked at it repeatedly.

When the class was about to end, the teacher went around each group and commented on each of their works.

The body of the ring was made out of broken pieces of white jade. It was a completely meaningless design. Isn’t this too plain?

“Who knows? Maybe it was because she had a good memory previously, so she could memorize all the theories with a breeze? But now when it comes to practicals, I can do better than her.”

“Mine isn’t that bad either.”

The class is bustling with discussions.

“Teacher, what you have in your hand is only a semi-finished product.” Xia Weilan said in neither humble nor overbearing manner. She stretched out her palms and took out a ring that looked similar, “This will make it a complete design.”

When the teacher saw the ring that Xia Weilan took out, her eyes lit up.

Xia Weilan took the two rings and put them on her ring finger and index finger.

Suddenly, the two pieces of broken materials suddenly complimented each other and moved closer to each other. People would be able to tell from a glance that they belong to a set because the cracks in the middle were exactly the same.

“This ring is called ‘match made in heaven. As the saying goes, it is difficult to mend a broken mirror, but they are born to fit the missing corner of each other.”

The entire class gathered around and looked at Xia Weilan’s hand. The rings on her fingers were glowing with white luster. She didn’t do anything to the cracked side but made a half heart shape on the other side. When she placed them together now, it is obvious that it is a complete heart shape.

“It’s actually a pair of rings that can be worn on the same hand. This is a novel design!”

“I want to have something like this too.”

The girls’ eyes were glistening and they agreed that Xia Weilan’s design was really good.

The teacher cleared her throat, “Lesson has not ended yet. Return to your own seat.”

When the teacher faced Xia Weilan again, her attitude had changed obviously, “This student is very talented. Her design concept is exceptional. You should learn more from this student in the future.”

After she finished her words, she calmly walked toward the next group without feeling offended at all.

Xia Weilan and Rui Li exchanged glances and they saw a glimmer of light in each other’s eyes.

Xia Weilan immediately said respectfully, “Yes, teacher.”

After class ended, all the students gathered around Xia Weilan to look at her design.

“Can I have this ring?”

“I want to buy it, you can charge me however you want.”

“I also want to buy it. Sell it to me instead.”
