PS: Thanks to Yan Suo Chi Di Liu and Koala Butcher for your generous donations. I'm really grateful for all the support I've received these past few days; it's much more than what I got for my previous book! (Haha, you finally changed your name! It's quite poetic!)
Today, I'll continue with two updates!
"Obsessive-compulsive disorder..."
Yuanxiao sneered disdainfully.
He didn't actually have an obsessive-compulsive disorder. It was just that a person always needed to have many weaknesses and flaws visible to others. At critical moments, these weaknesses observed by enemies could become powerful tools to defeat them and a trump card to save his life.
Moreover, having a bit of an obsessive-compulsive disorder wasn't bad; he was someone who enjoyed cleanliness and comfort.
Even so, when it came to crucial moments, he could hide in a stinky mud pit for days and nights to assassinate his target.
"Hero saving the beauty, what a joke."
Yuanxiao was very clear that if he hadn't been cautious and controlled the circuit to cut off power as a backup, he would have been caught by the FBI today. In that case, Tok would have definitely hidden among the FBI, slaughtering them, and then come to save him at the last moment to gain his gratitude.
Tok was a petty person, not very wise but extremely cunning.
Ten minutes later, Yuanxiao changed into a white casual outfit.
"If you want to kill the FBI and change the world's plot, I suggest you don't do it."
Yuanxiao said calmly, lying on the sofa.
"Why?"
Tok said unhappily, "They are all fat targets right in front of our eyes."
"Death Note, don't forget this world has the Death Note. We both know that the dangers and rewards in dimensional exploration are basically proportional. Killing ordinary people can be easily fixed by the dimensional origin, but only by killing the Shinigami can you gain the greatest reward," Yuanxiao explained.
"You're crazy, this is a Black Iron Level 3 world."
Tok rubbed his hooked nose, staring at Yuanxiao with a frown.
"I know. I'm Black Iron Level 0, and you're between Black Iron Level 0 and Level 1. We would both die if we faced the Shinigami directly. But if we can find their weaknesses, we might be able to eliminate them," Yuanxiao said seriously.
"If you have a good plan, I can fully cooperate with you."
Tok stood up abruptly, speaking urgently. He knew very well which was more beneficial: killing the Shinigami or a few mortals.
"I accidentally discovered that the protagonist, Yagami Light, doesn't carry the Death Note with him. He's just a high school student, so he hides the notebook in a secret compartment of his desk drawer. I need you to retrieve the Death Note for me."
Yuanxiao said calmly.
"We will control the Death Note."
Tok nodded heavily, breathing heavily.
He didn't notice the deep-seated killing intent and mockery in Yuanxiao's closed eyes.
The Death Note can indeed be obtained this way, but what he didn't say was that Light had set up a self-destruct trap. Once the Death Note is discovered, it will be set on fire with gasoline. Of course, with Tok's magic, this isn't a problem, but the Shinigami Ryuk isn't a dead person.
If humans touch the Death Note, they can see the Shinigami. So, the reverse must also be true.
Being able to suddenly see the Shinigami means that certain conditions, similar to a contract, have been met with the Death Note. If Tok dares to interfere with Ryuk's game, his chances of returning alive are virtually zero.
This is the advantage of knowing the plot in advance...
Tok couldn't have thought that the Death Note wasn't something they, as plunderers, could easily obtain.
At the same time, at 4 AM, Yagami Light, who should have been sleeping, was sitting under a desk lamp with red eyes.
All of this was because of a letter on his desk. He had been staring at the letter for hours but still hadn't found a solution to his current predicament. Did he really have to do what this mysterious person demanded?
The frustrated Light read the letter again, word by word, trying to find a breakthrough.
"Yagami Light, no! It's Kira. Hacking into your father's computer was incredibly foolish. Don't you know that once a computer is hacked, it leaves traces? Or are you so confident that your hacking skills are the best in the world?"
"Not being caught by the FBI or L immediately is nothing short of a miracle."
"But if you continue to be so arrogant and play cat and mouse with L, I can assure you that the mistakes you make will pile up until you are sent to prison."
"Enclosed with this letter are two photos. I don't want to see these two people alive tomorrow."
"Damn bastard, there's no clue at all."
Light cursed softly. He was Kira, the god of the new world. This person dared to threaten him, and anyone who obstructed justice deserved to die, especially someone who used him as a killing tool.
But now he had to face a reality: if he didn't do what the mysterious person said...
Light reluctantly picked up the two photos.
Nia, a very thin and small child. He couldn't understand why the mysterious person wanted him to kill this person.
At this moment, Light didn't know that he would ultimately lose to this boy, losing all chances of winning and eventually being erased by Ryuk with the Death Note. In a sense, he was eliminating a mortal enemy in advance.
"Oh, humans are so amusing."
Ryuk, biting an apple, watched as Light, under threat, began to use the Death Note to kill.
"Nia, throat cut, left arm cut off in isolation, using blood to write 'L' and 'Kira' on the floor, then throat cut with a sharp blade..."
Light, gritting his teeth, wrote Nia's name on the Death Note and picked up the second photo.
Even after looking at it many times, he still found it hard to believe.
The photo clearly showed a middle-aged man who indulged in alcohol and women. Unlike the first photo, which only had the name and method of death, this one provided a detailed background: Nankoku Masahiro, the illegitimate son of Prime Minister Nankoku Masahiro.
"Nankoku Masahiro, cause of death: dagger inserted into the brain through the mouth, using blood to write 'L' and 'FBI' on the floor before shouting 'Kira' during a call with Nankoku Masahiro and stabbing the dagger into his throat."
After writing the last word, Light leaned back in his chair, laughing nervously.
He knew that from tomorrow, the entire Japanese police force would work to drive L and the FBI out of Japan. Such a simple method, how could he not think of it? But if he did this, how could he enjoy the cat-and-mouse game of finding Kira?
"Foolish humans."
Ryuk, watching Light, showed a hint of disappointment.
This person was smart, the most talented Death Note owner he had ever seen, but his weaknesses were too obvious. Despite being a ruthless murderer, he made fatal mistakes due to pride and arrogance.
The mysterious person who wrote the letter threatening Light was the kind of Death Note owner he admired. Clearly evil, yet deluding themselves into thinking they were just.
To kill L, why go through so much trouble? First, deliberately expose the connection with the police, then create a rift between the police and L, and use the police to find L. By directly killing a few relatives of the Japanese prime minister, you can force these politicians to tear L apart.
But this is also quite interesting.
Ryuk, biting an apple, couldn't wait to see how Light would counter.
