"Whew, back at last." Feeling relieved, Li shouted at the bedside microphone.
Soon after, his attending psychiatrist came through the door with a nurse. In his hand, there was a white tablet.
"How do you feel, Xiao Li? What's new about this hallucination?" "Asked the doctor very kindly, sitting on his stool.
"It's the same environment, I'm doing the same thing. Only this time, in front of me, master scald-head killed a person in a very cruel way and put her into alchemy." Li Huowang recounted in detail what he saw in the illusion.
"Well, well." The attending doctor nodded and tapped his fingers on the tablet for notes.
Li Huowang thought for a while, and hesitantly asked, "Doctor, what does this different illusion represent? What does it mean to my mind and mentality?"
"Nah, you shouldn't care about that. You should care more about the length of each hallucination and your mental stability." The doctor shook his head and denied Li's claim.
"Since it is an illusion, you must remember that it is false. You have got rid of the hallucinatory-paranoid syndrome, don't fall into it again."
"As long as you follow the logical thinking over there every time you fall into hallucinations, and cooperate with the treatment of the hospital, you will soon be cured."
After hearing this, Li Huo Wang's heart immediately got tense. It's about getting himself out of the hospital as soon as possible. This must not be sloppy.
Then the doctor gave his patient a pep talk.
"In fact, now you have been pretty good. When you just came, you couldn't even distinguish between reality and fantasy. I'm sure it will be better in the future, keep up and fight on."
As they talked, light footsteps were heard at the door of the ward.
They both turned to the source of the sound and saw a young girl in a black turtleneck sweater secretly peeking inside.
The girl looked sixteen or seventeen years old, just in the best time of bud.
Her skin was as white as jade, and her black hair fell vertically over her shoulders like a waterfall. She is so beautiful, just like a blooming flower.
Looking at the two young men who were about to say something, the attending doctor smiled tactfully and turned to the door.
"I have something to do over there. By the way, Xiao Li, remember to take the medicine on time."
The doctor just left and the girl walked in. Two youngsters looked at each other with a smile, Li Huowang immediately felt a pleasant sweetness in his heart. The concerns about his illness were quickly brushed aside. "Don't laugh, it's ugly. Look what I have brought you. The revision homework assigned by teachers!" The crafty girl took out a canvas satchel from behind.
Hearing this, Li Huo Wang's face immediately became sullen, "Nana, at least we played together as kids, that's how you revenge on me?"
The girl named Yang Na turned to close the door. Then she took out a small handheld game console and shook it proudly. "Still having this, hee hee. Good boy, call me elder sister and I'll give it to you." "Elder sister! You're my true sister." Li Huowang rushed up excitingly and grabbed the console from her hand.
It's so boring to spend every day in a mental hospital. Even a normal person would go crazy in here.
"Don't play too much, remember to do your homework." Yang Na sat beside the bed and exhorted Li Huowang who just turned on the console.
"Mm-hmm." Li's attention was focused on the console screen.
Her slender, white fingers pinched the blue and white gown he was wearing, and she wrenched it affectionately. "Hey, don't forget what you promised me."
Li Huowang stopped and looked up at her. He kept a straight face and said. "Well, we agreed that we would go to the same university."
Under his gaze, Yang Na was a bit shy and hung her head. Her voice became timid and murmurous. "Well, get a good treatment, I'll wait for you....."
Li Huo Wang suddenly stretched out his hand and carefully pulled her in his arms, as if holding a very precious thing.
Yang Na blushed but did not struggle, just closed her eyes and whispered, "You pervert..."
Without doing anything, the loved-up couple just held each other and felt happy.
After the couple is affectionate for a while, Yang Na is about to leave. After all, she is in her most pivotal period of Grade 12. Squeezing half a day is as good as it gets for her.
Although each meet is short, for Li Huowang, it is a flush of hope in his difficult days.
"Let me walk you to the gate." Li Huowang, dressed in a blue and white striped hospital gown, lifted his quilt and put on the hospital's special white slippers.
Just as he followed Yang Na to the door, he sensed something went wrong. He noticed that on the bedside table next to him, the jar he had used to tamp the medicine from hallucination was placed.
Li Huowang trembled and took two steps back. Then he looked again and found that the medicine jar has already turned into his lunch box.
"What's wrong, are you all right?" Yang Na looked worried as she saw Li's stress reaction.
Noticing the worry on his girlfriend's face, Li Huowang immediately gave her a cheeky grin. "Ha ha, how's that? I just got you, am I?"
Yang Na angrily wrinkled her brows with bulging cheeks, and stretch out a hand to pinch Li's waist. "How old are you? Do you still think you're a kid? Why do such childish prank?" "Don't be angry. I just want you to be happy." Li Huowang reached out to hold Yang Na's hand, but she just flung it away.
But after shaking his hand off a few times, their hands finally held together.
Watching this scene, other patients who are sunbathing in the courtyard smiled happily. How beautiful it is for a love to be so young and pure.
Slowly as they went, they eventually came to an end. Yang Na stood at the hospital gate and looked at Li Huowang in reluctance. "I'll come to see you again next week. Take care of yourself here."
"Or don't come next week. I know you are under a lot of academic pressure. In total, you only got half a day off every week and you still waste it on me." Yang Na put up her shapely calf and trampled gently on Li's hospital slippers. Her fine eyebrows pinched lightly.
"You dunce, do not casually judge others by yourself. my ranking has never dropped the top three. There is no pressure to study."
"Ouch!" Li Huowang covered his heart with his hand and pretended to be in pain. "That really broke my heart, sister."
Yang Na giggled at his flashy humour, raised her fist and gently beat his body. Then she turned and ran toward the bus stop across the gate like a deer.
After seeing the bus that Yang Na was on disappear, the smile on Li Huowang's face gradually faded. Remembering what he had just felt, he walked anxiously toward the doctor's office.
An hour later, Li Huowang lay tossing and turning in bed, fretting about his future with Yang Na. On a table beside him was the doctor's new medicine for his new symptoms.
The tamper jar and Yang Na's smile kept alternating in his mind.
"What if my condition worsens and I can't get out of the hospital before the college entrance exam? Then I won't be able to go to the same university as Yang Na."
Although staying in this hospital, Li Huowang knew the gossip outside. A man like himself is a complete lunatic in the eyes of his neighbours.
And to such a madman himself, on the day before admission, Yang Na, his childhood sweetheart, has confessed to him. Her feelings for Li Huowang are beyond words.
She is a good girl. As a man himself, Li Huowang did not want to disappoint her.
"It shouldn't be like this. I'm following all the medical advice these days. How can it get worse? Am I going to be transferred again? This is the third hospital I've been in."
"Dr. Lee must be trustworthy. He's the best doctor dad could find."
The more he thought about these annoyances, the more he worried. Therefore, he just simply sat up, poured out Yang Na's books and papers from the backpack and began to study. He wanted to distract his lingering worries with such complex and raw knowledge. Li Huowang continues to write his homework. As he wrote, the sky began to get really dark.
Just as he finished an English paper, he stretched and rubbed his swollen temples with his fingers.
"Argh...What time is it? Must be pretty late." Li Huowang put on his slippers to go to the toilet and come back to sleep.
As he made his way to the door, his right hand, which was tickling his chest, suddenly stopped, and Li felt something strange in his chest.
Li Huowang opened his collar and saw a dark brown thing lying softly on his chest.
That inexplicably familiar colour made a deja-vu flash through his mind.
Li Huowang dabbed it with his finger and put it in his mouth. The sweetness in the bitterness made his pupils shrink a little,
That's candy from that stupid senior sister who died in the hallucination! The things in his illusion actually appeared in reality!
