Li Huowang's heart thumped as he made sure that the candy on his chest was
undoubtedly real. The first unconscious thought came to him, "I'll tell Dr Li!"
But as soon as he lifted his right foot, it was suspended in mid-air, and other thoughts came into his mind.
He knew that there was more than candy bars in his hallucinations, something more valuable!
As tasting sweet melt in his mouth, Li Huowang wandered slowly around the ward.
"This is an opportunity! A chance to make Yang Na and me rich overnight! It could even get me to the top of my life!" Being thrilled, he was quick to make sure this.
"I can't tell Dr Li. I don't want to be sent to the lab for section, and it's not his business." Li Huowang thought to himself.
"However, I can't be so quick to decide on this matter. I want to find out exactly what happened to me." He determined in his mind what he wanted to do.
As he thought so, the surroundings began to twist and change, and the tidy ward began to ebb.
He was used to this sort of thing. First, he hurriedly put the papers and books into his satchel and threw them into the far corner, so that they won't be torn by him when he underwent hallucination.
Then he pressed the red button next to the bed, and seconds later, the last scene he saw was several nurses coming in and tying him to the bed with wide cloth bands.
When he opened his eyes again, the rough, cold cave reappeared. Nearby, those "apprentice siblings" with physical defects looked at him curiously.
Sitting up from the cold stone surface, with a special perspective, Li Huowang scanned the genuine milieu once again.
Though it was an illusion, he now saw it as a treasury full of treasures.
He may not be sick, but has a rare special ability that the quack doctors can't diagnose.
"Maybe I'm not sick at all. Yes, that's right. I'm not sick."
Over the years, he's really grown tired of being called a psychopath. Everyone was looking at him weirdly.
It was as if he had ceased to be human at the moment when he get ill and had become alien.
Thinking of he might get rid of that stigmatisation in the future, Li Huowang couldn't help being excited.
In a very good mood, he stretched out his hand to stroke a large bald head coming up to him happily. "Haha, this is very interesting."
"Staying together for what? Why don't you get to work? If the medicine the master wants is not ready and hinders his elderly's event, he will peel your skin alive!" A most unpleasant sound came from the cave door.
Li Huowang turned his head and found that the person who spoke was the high cold Daoist priest who delivered the message before. His face was still arrogant as if talking to Li Huowang and these drug inducers made him sick.
Li Huowang remembers this guy's name, the Daoist title of this imaginary guy seems to call Xuanyang.
Feeling Li Huowang's unbridled stare, Xuanyang obviously felt the provocation. He shook the fly whisk in his hands and walked directly to Li. "Junior brother Li, it's really a pity that you didn't become master's drug inducer this time."
Li Huowang didn't pay any attention to his cynic words but focused on a round jade pendant hanging from his waist.
"It's an antique, isn't it? It must be worth a lot of money to sell out in the real world?"
"But what am I gonna do? Grab it and put it on my chest like that candy?"
As Li Huowang did not respond to his words, Xuanyang believed Li was afraid. Then he contemptuously turned around and left this place where only the drug inducer stay.
Looking at his back, Li Huowang made up his mind. This jade pendant would be the next test subject he tries to teleport.
As for how to get it, that's pretty simple. Just steal it at night. "It's a nice piece of jade, but it'll be mine soon."
A tiny white hand reached out and gently tugged at Li Huowang's linen sleeve. A soft voice sounded in his ear.
"Senior brother Li, hurry up and get to work. If you don't finish, you will have no food."
Li Huowang turned his head and found that albino girl he had helped before.
After thinking about it, he reached into his coat and took out the rest of the half-melted black sugar and put it in her hand. He turned to his place, took the pestle and began to work.
For now, wherever here or at the hospital, he's determined not to go overboard.
This kind of shocking thing is not suitable to tell anyone, he must slowly find out the principles of this quirk before making other plans.
The day's work ended with a dull thumping sound. At the late night, listening to the snoring and sound of grinding teeth next to him, lying on the big berth, Li Huowang slowly opened his eyes.
There were no windows in the cave, and Li Huowang felt his way to the door.
Firstly, he went to his place of work and took a piece of gleamy lapis that he had ground. The glimmering fluorescence it emitted can help Li Huowang to walk in the dark of the cave.
Although it was a little too striking to hold such a stone in the pitch dark, Li Huowang didn't care about it at all.
"If anyone finds out, I'll just go back to the hospital. I have a fallback. What am I afraid of?" Walking alone in the cave, he said proudly to himself.
This whole illusion is because of him. Is he afraid of the illusion he created? Even if he can't control it right now.
The whole cave was developed very big, Li Huowang has been here for a while. He knows his way around here.
Soon he found his way into the cave of Xuanyang. Although it was still very simple and crude, the large bed in which he lay alone proved the fundamental difference between Xuanyang and drug inducers.
However, to Li's surprise, Xuanyang was not at home. Although he wasn't in the cave, his clothes were still kept there. Recklessly, Li Huowang used his right hand to touch the Daoist robe and pull down the jade pendant.
After sneaking out of the cave, Li Huowang carefully looked at the round jade pendant under the shimmer of fluorite.
This piece of jade is crystal clear, round and smooth, with very delicate cloud patterns carved on it. Even those who know nothing about it know that it is a good jade.
The more Li Huowang played with it, the happier he was. If he can actually bring this thing to the real world, this piece of jade will at least pay for four years of college for him and Yang Na.
"Whee. Yang Na, O Yang Na, get ready to be a little rich lady." Li Huowang said, hiding the jade pendant in the clothes and returned.
All this is going well, but some things always go wrong. He had almost reached the door when he turned a corner on the stone steps and came face to face with a bunch of people.
It was a group of boys and girls about the same age as Li Huowang. Their frightened faces flickered in the light of the torch in their hands.
Both sides were startled by each other and froze in place for a long time without making a sound.
At last, Li Huowang spoke. He pointed with the fluorite in his hand at the crowd and asked Xuanyang, who was also dressed in linen, "Senior Brother Xuanyang, why are you dressed like this? Have you been sent to the material house?"
Among them were not only Xuanyang but also Dao boys who were in charge of other things, including the one who had fanned the furnace.
But whatever their previous work was, they were all dressed in sackcloth and linen pants, and they had nothing else with them.
At this time, Xuanyang did not have that kind of arrogant appearance during the day. After a few quick changes of expression, he walked up to Li Huowang and said in a low voice.
"Leave! Come with us! Let's get the hell out of here! The janitor has been bought off."
"Leave? Oh! So you wanna..."
Before the word "flee" in his mouth has been said, Li Huowang's mouth was covered by Xuanyang's hand.
