After the ball incident, Fang Yu was relieved that Lin Moyan did not shut him out. That meant his previous efforts hadn’t gone down the drain. Fang Yu still followed him closely, kissing and touching him from time to time while whispering love words to express his affection.

Lin Moyan had been used to it and habitually ignored Fang Yu’s behaviour. Days passed and towards the end of the term, the whole school was caught in a tense atmosphere. The study room was overcrowded with students and they were all studying very hard. After the chaotic exam week, the campus suddenly became a lot emptier.

The few people who appeared occasionally were all students dragging their suitcases and hurried to catch the train home. The dormitory building was locked three days after the school term and Lin Moyan had packed his luggage in advance and went to Fang Yu’s house.

The person who was supposed to go home as soon as the exam was over was delayed by Fang Yu for a week. It was not until Lin Moyan’s mother called to ask where he was that Fang Yu helplessly let go of Lin Moyan and personally dropped him at the station. If possible, Fang Yu would gladly follow Lin Moyan home. He wanted to protect this person in case his stepfather did anything to him. However, he couldn’t just walk away from his responsibilities during the holidays.

Moreover, if he followed Lin Moyan home, Lin Moyan would instantly know the reason behind it and be unhappy. After all, Lin Moyan had already revealed the things that haunted and humiliated him. By following him, Fang Yu would only be rubbing salt into his wound. Fang Yu was afraid that Lin Moyan would feel betrayed or more embarrassed thus, he didn’t dare to step beyond his limits.

He also thought about solving that person directly but this was Lin Moyan’s personal affair after all and he couldn’t step in. If he handled it without Lin Moyan’s permission, Lin Moyan’s family would be affected. So he chose to guard this person in another way.

As soon as he got home, Fang Yu couldn’t wait to take out his mobile phone and send Lin Moyan a crooked text message, “Baby, I miss you.”

Lin Moyan, who was lying on the train sleep cabin, heard the sound of the text message and took it out to take a look. It was Fang Yu’s text message so he guessed that it would not be serious. After opening the text message, the contents did correspond to his thoughts. He glanced at the message and without a change in expression, put the phone back in his jacket pocket. Fang Yu waited for a long time but didn’t get any reply. He didn’t mind it at all since he was used to it.

Lin Moyan often didn’t reply to the messages Fang Yu sent but Fang Yu would always be persistent. Fang typed out another message. “My dear, I think you might feel hot all over, especially the two or three places between your legs.”

Lin Moyan, who was about to doze off, felt the vibration in his jacket pocket and opened the text that Fang Yu sent. Looking at the message that would make others blush from head to toe, Lin Moyan simply read it calmly and deleted the message. To see this kind of text in public, it was better to pretend he didn’t see it and not worry about it.

Fang Yu waited for a few minutes, but still, there was no reply, so he sent a few short text messages in a hurry.

“Baby, I miss you so much, my mind is so chaotic and I can’t calm down at all. My little brother is standing up uncomfortably.”

“Baby, I am lying on the bed you slept on just now. It smells just like you and I miss you even more.”

“My baby, my little brother seems to like your bed so much. It’s getting bigger.”

Lin Moyan received a few lewd text messages in succession and couldn’t bear it anymore. He quickly typed a text message and replied. “Fang Yu, are you that bored and free?”

Fang Yu heard the “ding!” of an incoming message and rolled around the bed excitedly. He then continued to harass Lin Mo with text messages, “Baby, if you chat with me, I won’t tease you. I promise!”

After Lin Moyan received the text message, he pressed his forehead and moved his fingers a few times, “What can we even talk about?”

Fang Yu who received the message replied with a smile, “There’s so much to talk about, ah. We can talk about how blue the sky is or how much I love you.”

Lin Moyan, who saw Fang Yu’s sweet messages, was not touched at all, but rather dumbfounded. He could also see that Fang Yu’s text messages were boring and had no specific content at all. He typed another message, “Fang Yu, we have little common interests so what can we talk about?”

The phone was silent for a long time and Lin Mo couldn’t help wondering whether the message had been sent successfully. Even if it was not successfully sent, Fang Yu shouldn’t be so quiet since he would continuously spam Lin Moyan. He checked the phone’s outbox several times and found that the text message had been sent. He sent another text message to 10086 and checked the phone bill. The balance was sufficient and there was no sign of any unexpected bill to be paid.

Just when he was about to give up and call Fang Yu directly, a text message came. Lin Moyan opened the message. The content in it was much longer than the previous ones. “I really miss you. The room is very quiet and I am the only one. Without you, this kind of silence makes me want to escape but, a part of you still remains here. There are traces of you in this house. If I leave, I will only miss you more. I am willing to live in your shadow for the rest of my life so I’ll wait for you to come back. I love you.”

Lin Moyan’s heart suddenly tightened and he recalled what he had seen before in Fang Yu’s main house. Now that he had left, Fang Yu was alone in the cold and lifeless house. Thinking of the folded family picture, Lin Moyan’s heart was prickled. After reading his text message several times, Lin Moyan did not deal with it like the previous text messages. Instead, he typed out a sentence, simple but full of warmth, “Then wait for me obediently. Before I come back, remember to change the sheets.”

T/N: In case there might be some confusion, Fang Yu is staying in the house near the school where traces of Lin Moyan remains. That is why he is so unwilling to leave. However, he has no choice but to leave sooner or later and return to the main house which is why Lin Moyan mentioned the main residence of Fang Yu’s family and why he would be lonely. That’s why Lin Moyan isn’t referring to the house near the school but instead, it’s the main house.

Fang Yu waited quietly for Lin Moyan’s reply. He was not sure whether Lin Moyan would respond. Lin Moyan had been online as he had typed that long message. He had been hesitating a long time as he typed that message, wondering if Lin Moyan would even respond to his deep longing.

While he was afraid of the other party’s indifference, he was also looking forward to the other party’s possible response. Fortunately, the words that Lin Moyan sent made his heart warm in an instant. Fang Yu squeezed the phone tightly and immersed himself in the comfort that Lin Moyan’s words gave him. He missed that person even more and more.

The two of them were sending text messages with a poor signal so the texts were sent and received intermittently. The two were chatting about trivial things so time passed by slowly. By the time the train arrived at the station, Lin Moyan’s phone was almost out of battery. He hurriedly sent a message to Fang Yu, “I’m getting off the train soon and my cell phone is almost out of power. I’ll talk to you when I get home.”

As soon as the text message was sent out, he heard the phone ringing. Lin Moyan glanced at the caller ID and answered the call. The person on the other end of the phone couldn’t wait and said directly, “Xiaoyan, when are you arriving? Is the train late?”

Lin Moyan heard the gentle female voice from the phone and the feeling of missing the other party became even more evident, “Mom, I’ll get off the train in half an hour. Are you still waiting?”

His mother laughed and said, “I’m not in a hurry. I waited for you outside the station and didn’t see you come out so I called you.”

“Mom, you didn’t say anything. It must be troublesome for you to come pick me up alone,” Lin Moyan replied with some disapproval. It was cold in winter, and his mother was waiting outside. He was worried that she would suffer too much.

“It’s okay, I’m sitting in the car. Your Uncle Li happened to be free today, so he came with me.”

Lin Moyan’s brows tightened suddenly and he asked, “Mom, Uncle Li is here too?”

“Yes, right next to me, you have something to say to him? He also misses you a lot.”

Lin Moyan hurriedly responded, “Mom, don’t, my mobile phone is almost out of power, wait until I get out of the train. I will hang up first.”

Lin Moyan cut off the phone and threw it onto the seat irritably. All his time and attention had been occupied by Fang Yu’s text messages along the way and he had forgotten there was still a person in the family who he had to guard against. His mother’s call reminded him he still had problems that he had to face.

Lin Moyan tried his best to calm down the resentful feelings in his heart, hoping to prevent his mother from seeing his feelings. Even if he resisted seeing that person, he can’t avoid it in the end. After getting off the train, Lin Moyan raised his eyes not far from the exit and saw his mother standing on tiptoes, craning her neck to look inside. Seeing her face flushed from the cold weather, Lin Moyan felt a little distressed, so he waved his hand quickly and greeted his anxious mother.

His mother didn’t seem to notice him at first but the tall man beside her did. The tall man patted his mother’s arm and stretched out his fingers to show her where Lin Moyan was. The man was wearing a long black trench coat, and the shoes on his feet were polished. He had a straight back and a kind face, looking like a dignified gentleman.

Who knew how dirty his actions were in private, Lin Moyan sneered in his heart. He was a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Lin Moyan couldn’t help feeling soft when he saw his mother’s tear-filled eyes. To escape from his stepfather, he chose a school thousands of miles away and had no chance to come back to visit his mother during the entire semester. This was the first time that he has been separated from his mother for such a long time. Although he usually called her frequently, it was not the same as face-to-face contact. He had already missed his mother so deeply; he only knew that his mother would have missed him even more than he did.
