After saying this, he opened the door and left the room. There were several home-cooked dishes on the dinner table and almost all of them were Lin Moyan’s favourite dishes. The dishes and chopsticks were already set and his mother was sitting at the table, waiting.

Lin Moyan sat next to his mother while suppressing the displeasure on his face. He smiled at the table full of food, picked up the dishes and started eating. The man also came to the table afterwards, sitting right next to Lin Moyan. Lin Moyan tilted his body closer to his mother’s side to avoid contact with him. After waiting for a long time, the phone was completely quiet. He was about to check the text messages when the phone rang. He connected the phone but before he could speak, the anxious voice on the other beat him to it.

“What happened to you? Are you okay? I made almost a few hundred calls!”

“Hello? Why aren’t you talking? Lin Moyan?” Fang Yu took the phone and looked at it, confirming that he was indeed on the phone.

Fang Yu took a long sigh of relief and sat down on the edge of the bed.
