Luo looked up at the sun: "It's probably around two or three in the afternoon, right? Why haven't we seen the giant toe vulture with a ten-meter wingspan that you were talking about? Vien, your standards are too high."
"Shut up!" Vien said unhappily: "Teacher Sophina caught such a strong and unusual rhinoceros for you, so of course you have no complaints. But what about us? We can't fall behind you! Even if we trouble the teacher today, if we don't catch something over seven meters, I'll come alone next time."
"Such a stubborn guy. Uh..." Irena covered the wound on her arm. She had been injured in a chaotic battle, with her left hand and left leg accidentally scratched by a beast. She was now bandaged and being supported by Conelia as she limped forward.
Conelia carefully walked, supporting her arm: "Are you okay? Carol, how much longer will it take to heal?"
Carol, who was treating Irena's injuries, calculated the time: "About half an hour. Please, I'm just a water magic apprentice, and I've already used my best to speed up her healing. Don't worry, this minor injury won't leave a scar."
"It still takes so long even after applying the medicine," Irena complained, then suddenly turned to Vien: "It's all your fault. The teacher told you to protect us, but you did such a poor job. With this, you still think about the giant toe vulture?"
"I don't want to argue with a little woman," Vien said, having learned to be smart and not get into arguments, as it would only lead to endless trouble.
Sophina said: "This is precisely the time to train your teamwork and cooperation. If you can't work well together, you'll get injured easily like this."
Irena grumbled: "Teacher Sophina, why don't you treat my injuries? According to what Ice Zhe said, your essence hasn't changed yet, right? If it were you, I would have been healed already."
Sophina smiled: "Sorry, I haven't learned water element abilities; I just know a bit about them. And now is the time to train you. If I had to take care of everything, how would you grow?"
"Exactly." This was what Vien thought but didn't say out loud; he didn't want to cause trouble.
"Sophina, have you reached the intermediate level in water magic?" Sophina asked.
According to the criteria for the mage examination, to obtain the green robe mage's badge, one must be able to cast one or two advanced spells in the two main elements and reach the intermediate level in four other elements to be considered an intermediate mage, earning the green gem badge and entering the advanced magic training class. Some other academies have lower requirements, but they must still reach the level of casting advanced spells in one element and intermediate level in three others. Graduates from prestigious academies like Kulantin are more popular than those from ordinary academies.
Ice Zhe said: "Yes, I have."
Vien and Luo, who were leading the way, almost fell over when they heard this. Vien turned and grabbed Ice Zhe's clothes, shouting: "Intermediate water magic? Aren't you an ice mage? And you switched from wind to ice, so isn't your secondary element wind?"
Sophina, seeing their surprised expressions, said: "You're in the same dorm and didn't know? He didn't tell you?"
"What didn't he say?" Luo looked at the teacher, confused.
Sophina looked at Ice Zhe: "Really, you keep everything to yourself and don't share with others. On the first day of class, I gave you the green gem badge and graduation card for intermediate mages. Such an important thing, and you didn't tell your dorm mates."
"Intermediate mage!!" Not just Luo and Vien, even Conelia forgot her noble image and shouted.
Vien roared: "You never tell us anything! You're already an intermediate mage, and you didn't tell us! What's your problem!!"
"Right, that's not very friendly," Luo said, also angry.
Ice Zhe, startled by their shouts, took a few steps back: "This... This... Saying it feels like showing off."
The two guys were taken aback: "That's true."
Ice Zhe didn't say it at the time because he wasn't afraid they would think he was showing off; he simply didn't plan to say anything. If they were right, he had never cared about them, but he couldn't say that now, so he used showing off as an excuse.
"This guy..." Carol looked at him in amazement.
"Intermediate mage! Green robe mage!" Irena, pulling her hair, felt no pain in her hands, only a headache: "Are you really 14 years old?"
Conelia also stared at him in shock: "Does he have such talent and strength? Like Bimoye, who scored full marks!"
Vien, kneeling on the ground, held his sword and repeatedly hit his helmet: "Intermediate mage, intermediate mage, intermediate mage, intermediate mage. He's already an intermediate mage at 14, and I'm a year older and still a warrior apprentice. I want to kill myself!"
"I'm going crazy. Is he even a normal person?" Luo, holding his knight's spear, stood to the side, feeling extremely depressed.
Sophina, seeing their reactions, smiled: "Losing confidence over such a small setback?"
They were taken aback.
Sophina said: "If you don't have this confidence, you'll only be sending yourselves to die on the battlefield or in the ten forbidden areas."
"Who said that?" Vien immediately jumped up, swinging his sword and cutting through the bushes, shouting.
Carol sighed: "This idiot is at it again."
Irena suddenly got angry: "If you're so strong, why didn't you help us on the way? I got so badly injured!"
Ice Zhe said: "This is to train you. If I helped, how would you grow?"
Irena, hearing this, was so angry she couldn't speak: "Don't act like a teacher!"
"No," Sophina said. "With his strength, he could already be your assistant teacher. The academy has many students like him who work part-time as teachers. I've seen his abilities. If he were to kill these beasts, you would have a chance to rest."
"Uh, that's true," Irena couldn't argue.
"Hey, don't go crazy." Luo saw Vien still acting up and was about to stab him with his spear when he suddenly stopped, standing there in a daze. Luo asked: "What's wrong?"
The birds and animals around them scattered in a panic. Sophina also sensed something was wrong and held back Luo, who was about to approach: "Don't go over!"
Sophina's expression changed, and she frowned.
Conelia, seeing Sophina's change in demeanor, became nervous and asked softly: "T-Teacher, what's happening?"
Sophina waved her hand and covered her mouth.
Carol also frowned, staring at Vien. Only Ice Zhe's expression remained unchanged, as cold as ever.
Sophina suddenly moved.
Luo, who hadn't even reacted, found his teacher had taken his spear and rushed behind Vien, grabbing his collar and throwing him back. At the same time, she thrust the spear, piercing the lower jaw of a suddenly appearing large red python. The speed of this action was so fast that it wasn't until the series of events was over that Luo realized Vien was lying at his feet.
The red python's soft lower jaw, when attacked, let out a strange cry.
"Three-Headed Flame Python!" Sophina, surprised to encounter such a powerful beast in the幻兽花园, frowned and shouted: "Protect them."
Here, only Ice Zhe had the strength of a green robe mage, so this was clearly directed at him.
Vien, regaining his senses, quickly got up and pointed at the large patch of waist-high bushes: "There, there's a snake, a three-headed snake!"
Conelia exclaimed: "Three-Headed Flame Python! A vicious monster that only appears in the Beast Forest, how could it be here?"
"This, this is definitely not something we can handle!" Irena, pulling Conelia, kept retreating and shouted at the others: "Come over here, don't get too close, it's very dangerous!"
Vien and Luo also realized they couldn't handle it and retreated with Carol and the others. The weaker beasts seemed to have been scared away, so they didn't have to worry about being ambushed.
Ice Zhe stood in front of them, his hand slightly raised. He was the strongest here.
