The Luckiest Man Alive

Outside the window of the lobby was the most overwhelmingly beautiful planet, shining bright. It

looked more than ten times larger than Earth’s Moon, and it was like as if you could see what

substance the planet was made of if you looked close enough.

“Please, have a seat.”

Sihwang sat on the sofa, while the kid sat on a chair across.

“What kind of….”

Too confused, Sihwang lost his words. Usually, he would be able to keep a conversation even

though he was shy, but this time he was too struck to continue.

“Would you like something to drink? We have everything – Coke products, and even nectar

liquor brewed by the elves.”

“Yup, this must be a dream.”

Sihwang didn’t even bother to listen to the kid. He slapped himself on the cheek, but not too

hard, deluding himself that he was in a dream.

“I knew it! What a dream. I thought so. Hah! This seems too good to be real.”

Sihwang started mumbling in relaxation as he felt no pain from slapping himself. His facial

expression softened down.

“What are you doing?”

The kid looked at him in disgust, as Sihwang started giggling in and slapping himself.

“Hmm? Nothing. So, you were saying?”

A bit more relaxed, Sihwang started asking questions. He was conscious enough to realize he

was in a safe place.

“Okay, I am going to explain why you are here. Before that, please have something to drink. All

of this belongs to you, Sihwang nim. Here is the menu.”

“All of this planet belongs to me? Haha, I see. It looks like my dream is running wild tonight.”

Still a bit swinging on whether this is a dream or reality, Sihwang decided to stick with it being a

dream. There were definitely too many problems for this to be real life.

As he opened the menu the kid has handed, there were so many options from familiar brand-

sodas to liquor and tea Sihwang has never seen before.

Just as about sticking with the good old Coke, this something called Ramin tea caught his eye.

“Ramin tea? I’ll try this.”

“That tea is from the planet Navln, from the leaves of the Ramin plant. To harvest Ramin itself

takes about 100 years, and it takes a superb amount of wizardry. Sihwang nim, if it were the old

you it would take you 50 years to even afford a cup of this tea.”

“Is that so? Heh, how interesting.”

Sihwang answered anyway, knowing that all this information he was hearing was nonsense

coming from his dream. It doesn’t matter if a stupid plant takes 100, or even 1,000 years to

harvest if it is in a dream.

Clap!

As the kid clapped his hands once, a teacup with a precise engraving of a dragon appeared,

filled with lime-colored tea.

“Enjoy.”

Sihwang went straight for the tea. As soon as he made the first gulp, the cramps, and aches of

his body from waking up from the middle of his sleep instantly vanished. It was much more than

feeling just refreshed. He was full of energy and in total concentration. If he were to study right

now, he was sure that he could focus all day and absorb all the knowledge into his head.

“What kind of tea is this?”

“Effects show instantly if you drink special teas like these. This particular tea makes your body

feel energetic, and you won’t feel tired for a long time.”

“Very interesting. I would make a fortune if this exists in real life.”

“I’ll make sure you take some with you, then.”

“How sweet of you.”

“So, where were we?”

The blond kid said in a straight face.

“The name is Konz. I am the guardian of this planet and the legacy that Kezron has left for you.”

“You have been talking about this legacy a lot. What are you even talking about?”

“Long story short, Kezron nim, the Golden Dragon, has decided to inherit all of his legacy to one

random living being in the whole universe. And that happened to be you, Sihwang nim.”

Sihwang was starting to catch up with Konz’s story, but there were so many other questions. Do

I personally know this Dragon guy? Is this a bad guy, or a good guy? Can I trust him? And most

of all, this is a dream and why should I care. Sihwang was puzzled.

It was just like going on a date and having sex with an amazing girl, and no matter how happy

you are it is just gone in ashes once you wake up from bed, realizing it was just a dream.

“Is that so?”

“Aren’t you happy?”

“I am, but I don’t know what all this legacy stuff is.”

“Gosh, it seems like you still don’t understand. You are the luckiest man in alive. This is nothing

comparing to winning on some lottery on Earth.”

“Oh, well. That's neat. Haha….”

Konz sighed at Sihwang, who still looked puzzled.

“The legacy is everything, including this planet. Countless amount of gold and treasure, ancient

books, magic, potions, nothing a normal person would be obtainable…. Heaps of rare objects

are on this planet.”

“Magic?”

“Yes. Magic from the First Circle to the Tenth, and specially personalized wizardry created by

Kezron nim himself. The tiny problem is that there are some boundaries.”

“This is a dream, can’t you just make them all happen?”

“You still think this is a dream…? You are going to realize this is real, sooner or later. I am going

to keep on talking.”

“Please do.”

Sihwang replied, halfheartedly. He thought that having boundaries in a dream was so stupid.

“The boundaries are for the ones who have not been reached to the mature stage. Once one

has experienced, and enlightened, the boundaries will be broken. First of all, according to from

your current wealth, power, knowledge, and personal relationships, you are placed in Level 1,

and you barely have access to any of the legacies at this moment.”

“Barely? Then what can I have?”

“The door and room connecting to Kezron nim’s planet, food and beverages provided by the

castle, very low-quality potions, and 5,000,000 won in cash. This is not even a dust of what

Kezron nim has overall."

“Hmm…….”

Sihwang kept on questioning how this kind of genre appeared in his dream. He was never into

fantasy nor science fiction. Lord of the Rings and some famous fiction novels were the closest

he has read from anything like this.

“I know you are disappointed, but don’t worry! If you level up by completing different objectives,

you will have access to more legacies, eventually having all of them! You will do great!”

Konz tried to cheer him up.

Even though Konz tried to brighten up with his toadstool-like hairdo and cute face, it didn’t excite

Sihwang at all.

“So what objectives do I need to do?”

“They are all written here.”
