Chapter 29

"Levi, I'm back... Ah, I suddenly remembered there's still some work at school that needs to be finished. I have to go back quickly."

Levi left the problem of dealing with Shinji Matou and Berserker to Rin Tohsaka, leaving her to deal with the headache. However, he didn't expect that coming home wouldn't be an easy task either.

Inside the small, cozy house decorated with dolls, the scene was no less chaotic than the thin light of the setting sun. The floor was cluttered, the tables and chairs were broken, and even the TV, which EMIYA usually loved, had a large hole in the center of the screen. The one responsible for this mess was clearly EMIYA, who was being held in the air by Teatime and Eve.

When EMIYA saw Levi open the door, her already calmed nerves immediately showed signs of becoming violent again. Her small body, suspended in the air with her feet unable to touch the ground, struggled fiercely. If not for the seal on her magic, Teatime and Eve wouldn't have been able to hold her back. Even so, the two were caught off guard and had a hard time preventing the angry little cat from rushing to Levi.

Levi carefully avoided the things on the ground as he walked into the house, giving Eve a questioning look, which she avoided. It seemed that not only EMIYA, but Eve was also unhappy with his rash behavior of fighting the enemy servant without permission.

Levi clenched his right hand, and the Command Spell on his right arm was a real headache. He had never intended to tell these two about dealing with the barrier and the subsequent encounter with Berserker. However, as soon as the battle began, Eve knew through the connection between master and servant.

What happened next was predictable. The battle with Berserker was far from calm; a single mistake could have led to severe injuries. How could he have time to tell Eve to keep it a secret from EMIYA?

"Let me go! And you, the idiot at the door, come here!"

Not only did EMIYA know what had happened, but even if she didn't, she wouldn't believe that the lazy Levi would suddenly become a responsible teacher.

The EMIYA in front of him seemed to emit a terrifying black aura. Levi knew that if he didn't stop her quickly, he might not be able to return to school safely tomorrow. He moved towards the sofa in the living room, thinking of a strategy.

"What were you doing just now?"

EMIYA's question made Levi's eyes light up. She already knew what had happened but still asked this seemingly unnecessary question, clearly giving Levi a chance to explain.

Levi glanced at the various debris on the ground, silently mourning their loss while secretly thanking them. It seemed that after venting, EMIYA had become more rational.

"So, you went out alone to play the hero to protect that little girl, Rin Tohsaka?"

After listening to Levi's account from discovering the barrier, dealing with it, and fighting Berserker, and then meeting Rin with Kaguya and parting ways, EMIYA made a highly subjective and distorted conclusion about Levi's efforts.

"Uh..."

Although EMIYA seemed to have calmed down, Levi didn't want to achieve this by diverting her attention.

For some reason, EMIYA had never been able to get along with Rin. Even when Rin was still in elementary school, they would almost always argue whenever they met. As they grew older, Rin probably understood the difficulty of Levi being caught in the middle, so she visited the house less and less. The last time she stepped into this small house was at the beginning of the summer vacation.

"Let's not talk about that little girl. You must have also teased her servant, right? Walking around in the wilderness with a girl at night, how romantic. Looks like that Berserker wasn't strong enough to seriously hurt you!"

The word "teased" was a bit strong, but on the way to find Rin with Kaguya, Levi's behavior wasn't exactly polite. Although he had a reason to gather information, he later found the girl interesting and teased her a bit.

"H, I hate it."

Before Levi could think of how to answer EMIYA's accusations, even the silent Eve added to the attack, turning a small issue into a matter of improper relations. Levi couldn't help but reflect on whether he had done something wrong in the past to make Eve so hostile towards him.

"Alright, that's enough for today. Think about it and do a self-reflection tomorrow. Your right hand is almost impossible to lift, right? Hiding your strength? Idiot."

The phrase "tough on the outside, soft on the inside" could be understood by looking at EMIYA. As soon as Levi entered, Eve had carefully examined his body with her eyes but didn't notice his hidden injuries.

The brute strength that Berserker gained at the cost of losing his sanity was not something Levi could easily resist. Although they only clashed once, and he used a clever technique to deflect the force, his right hand, which bore the direct impact, still couldn't avoid the damage.

Moreover, when he discovered that Kaguya was spying, to prevent her from getting more information, Levi勉强使用了已经受伤的右手发射了强大的电磁枪。普通的手枪都有不小的后坐力，更不用说那足以杀死英灵的电磁枪了？Levi的右手仅仅出现几处骨裂，已经算是不错的结局了。

“有治疗用品吗？”

听到EMIYA提到Levi的伤势，Eve的脸上虽然没有变化，但向Teatime要医疗用品的话，却暴露了她的心思。

对于这位少女的关心，Levi总觉得受之有愧。那份温柔与关心，本应该属于一个叫‘托雷’的人。感觉好像自己抢了别人的东西一样，心里莫名的难受。

“吸血鬼家里怎么会有医疗箱。不用管他，虽然他不是吸血鬼，但这家伙的体质比较特殊，睡一晚上就好了。”

Eve还是盯着Levi的右手，Levi不想让她担心，握了握拳表示没事。

“EMIYA说得没错，虽然不知道什么原因，好像我也属于不容易死的类型。放心吧，肯定能帮你赢得圣杯的。”

Levi不知道自己说的话有多么煞风景。只见Eve听完，立刻转身往楼上走。速度之快，那头长长的金发差点像鞭子一样抽到他身上。

除了Eve踩在楼梯上的声音外，Levi隐约还听到她说什么。声音实在太小，仔细分辨，好像是……大笨蛋？

“站在这发什么呆，还不赶快回去睡觉。”

连EMIYA好像都觉得Levi太傻，忍不住白了他一眼。虽然这种傻，对她来说本应是好事。

“Levi老师，如果没事的话，请先上楼好吗？这里需要收拾。”

永远是需要时候才能感觉到存在感的Teatime，在EMIYA离开后，才开口。等Levi回过身来，才发现她已经不知道从哪找来了扫把，显然自己阻碍了她的工作。

跟Teatime道了声晚安，Levi也向楼上走去。和Berserker的战斗，除了右手负伤，对他的体力损耗也十分巨大。

今晚，看来注定会有个无梦的好觉。
