"Of course, you can’t even read, can you?"

In fact, at Second High School, there were definitely many students who didn’t know about this library. Levi was just a bit annoyed by the additional tail named Okazaki, even though the decision to bring him along was Levi’s own.

"I just didn’t know this place existed in the school. It feels really unpleasant to have my Japanese proficiency questioned by a foreigner."

"Boy, don’t forget that this isn’t Japan. There are plenty of foreigners who speak Japanese better than you."

Academy Island, being close to Japan and due to their cooperation in certain fields, had a large number of Japanese students. However, students from other countries were not few. Okazaki, standing beside him, clearly thought of this as well.

Levi ignored his sigh and pushed open the wooden door of the library.

"Is this... really a library..."

Behind the neatly arranged bookshelves, a rectangular table was spotlessly clean, and a female student sat there, evoking words like gentle and virtuous at first glance. Behind her were kitchen appliances like an induction cooker and a coffee maker, which seemed out of place in a library.

No wonder Okazaki, who was visiting for the first time, was puzzled by the unexpected setup.

"Of course, didn’t you see the books on the shelves?"

"Welcome, what would you like, Mr. Levi?"

Before Okazaki could answer, the girl behind the table spoke first. Although her voice was extremely soothing and calming, her greeting sounded more like a server’s professional opening line, making it a bit hard to get used to.

"The usual, coffee."

Levi sat down casually, like a regular customer at a coffee shop.

"Okazaki, what would you like?"

"Um... the same, I guess."

Okazaki clearly hadn’t recovered from the scene that was far from what he had expected.

"Two coffees, right? Please wait a moment."

The girl stood up and turned on the power switch on the wall. After taking out the coffee beans from the cabinet, she suddenly turned around as if remembering something.

"Student, why don’t you take a look at the books on the shelves while the coffee is brewing? They are all very interesting, I recommend them."

"Oh, thank you."

The girl’s enthusiastic recommendation made Okazaki, who rarely read anything other than magazines, a bit interested. But as soon as he walked to the bookshelf, he started to regret it.

*Gödel’s Philosophy: Incompleteness Theorem and the Ontology of God*, *The War of Encoding and Decoding*, *Phenomenology of Spirit*, *Baopuzi*...

A bunch of bizarre books, just looking at the titles made his head spin. Okazaki had no confidence that he could read even ten pages of any of these books and stay awake.

Thinking he might find something he could understand, he took a few steps into the bookshelves. As he turned a corner, Okazaki almost bumped into someone standing in front of a bookshelf.

"Ah, sorry..."

Okazaki hurriedly apologized. The other person, however, was completely engrossed in a thick book and seemed not to have heard his apology at all.

Feeling ignored, Okazaki was a bit uncomfortable and maliciously guessed that it must be a nerdy bookworm with glasses. But when he looked up carefully, he realized that his surprises for the day were far from over.

It was a girl, a blonde girl. Her skin was even fairer than Levi’s, and Okazaki immediately judged that she was definitely not Japanese. She was wearing a school uniform he didn’t recognize, one he had seen while wandering around, possibly from Mahora Academy.

These details didn’t surprise Okazaki much, as a delinquent, he was more worldly than most of his classmates. But the girl’s appearance and aura still left him in awe.

Her long golden hair, tied in two pigtails with black hair accessories, flowed like a waterfall illuminated by the sunset, almost reaching her ankles. In reality and on TV, except in comics, Okazaki had never seen anyone with such long and beautiful hair.

Her silky hair accentuated her delicate features and fair skin, making her look like a delicate doll. If it weren’t for her page-turning movements, Okazaki would have suspected that someone had placed a life-sized, high-end doll there.

Of course, being amazed didn’t mean Okazaki had any ulterior motives. Despite his delinquent appearance, he was essentially a good kid, or Levi wouldn’t have become friends with him. He was attracted to the girl purely because most of the students at Second High School were East Asians, and he had never seen such exotic beauty.

Moreover, her serene aura also helped to ease his recent irritability.

Not wanting to disturb the girl, Okazaki was about to turn back when a rich aroma reached his nose. The coffee must be almost ready. He turned and quietly walked back to the bookshelf.

"Student, didn’t you find a book you liked? That’s a shame, but the coffee is almost ready. Please sit down and wait."

"Thank you."

He hadn’t expected to encounter two such unique girls in such a small library. The girl making the coffee spoke casually, but Okazaki found himself following her suggestion without thinking. He thought to himself, no wonder she’s friends with that delinquent teacher; she’s not ordinary either.

"My name is Okazaki Tomoya, may I ask who you are?"

When Okazaki returned, he found Levi already dozing off on the table. Without a familiar face, he felt a bit awkward and realized he still didn’t know the girl making the coffee.

"Are you Okazaki? I’m Miyazawa Yuki, the ‘Yuki’ in ‘Yuki no Yuki,’ the ‘Ki’ in ‘Nijisseiki,’ and the ‘Ning’ in ‘Ningjing.’”

The girl’s unique way of introducing herself made Okazaki believe he would never forget her name.

"Do you know him? I mean, the teacher."

"Mr. Levi? He’s very famous in the school. He’s also come to the library a few times before. I’d say he’s the kind of person you don’t forget easily."

Indeed, as Yuki said, with his handsome appearance, elegant manners in front of strangers, eloquent speech, and foreign identity, Levi could be considered a campus celebrity alongside Farbauti Rin.

"The teacher looks very tired today. He should get some rest."

"Yes, he fell asleep as soon as the class ended."

The coffee was almost ready, and Yuki didn’t need to watch the stove anymore. She ran over to a book that had been giving Okazaki a headache.

"If you want to relieve fatigue, I have some useful spells."

"Spells?"

"Yes, spells, they are very effective. Ah, but let’s finish the coffee first."

Yuki placed the book next to the coffee pot, took out two cups, and poured the freshly brewed, fragrant coffee for both of them.

"Please enjoy."

Under Yuki’s expectant gaze, Okazaki picked up the cup and took a sip. Although it wasn’t perfect, being able to enjoy such a level of coffee in the school was more than satisfactory for Okazaki.

Despite the somewhat strange situation, Yuki’s every action was so natural that Okazaki gradually stopped paying attention to the fact that he was in a library.

"Very good... Hey, wake up! At least finish the coffee someone worked hard to make before you go back to sleep!"

Putting down the cup, Okazaki saw that Levi was still sleeping with his head covered and pushed him.

"Ah..."

Seemingly truly asleep, Levi stretched when Okazaki woke him up.

"Oh, the coffee is ready? Thank you."

Levi picked up the coffee and took a small sip, becoming a bit more alert.

"Eve?"

"Hmm?"

Hearing an unfamiliar name from the teacher, Okazaki saw that he wasn’t talking to Yuki.

"Eve, if you want to read the book, you can borrow it to take home. Come and have a cup of coffee first."

Following Levi’s gaze, Okazaki turned to the bookshelf. He saw the blonde girl he had almost bumped into earlier, holding a thick book in both hands, walking out from behind the bookshelf.
