"eve."

Just as Levi was troubled and conflicted, Eve casually reported her name. It made sense; others only knew the assassin known as the Golden Shadow. The girl named Eve was only recognized by Levi and the tenants of this small house.

"Miss Eve, hello, I'm Momo."

The princess of the Galaxy greeted Eve with great generosity, which left the observing Levi a bit puzzled. Could she really be a pampered flower, strictly educated and never having left home or come into contact with the outside world?

From her natural and sincere reaction, Levi could not detect any atmosphere of a police officer encountering a criminal. Thinking about it, he couldn't help but laugh at himself. What police and criminals? Not to mention, Eve never targeted law-abiding citizens. Even if she were a heinous killer, it wouldn't be the princess's place to personally take the risk to apprehend her.

Compared to Momo's warmth, Eve seemed a bit cold, but that was her personality. If she suddenly became enthusiastic, that would be a significant change worth noting.

In any case, the small crisis that was about to erupt didn't really happen, and Levi secretly breathed a sigh of relief. The tone of the day finally returned to calm from the turmoil.

There was still some time before dinner, so Levi decided to take Momo to the guest room and settle her in. It was a bit awkward for a man to handle this task, but it couldn't be helped.

The club activities hadn't ended yet, and Chacha would still be a while before coming home. Eve was a guest, and Evangeline was the host. One was inconvenient, and the other refused to do it. They couldn't just let the princess of the Galaxy stand in the living room.

Taking the new tenant upstairs to the second floor, it was indeed as Evangeline had complained—every habitable space was almost full. If a few more people came, they would have to consider converting it into a dormitory with two beds per room.

But these were matters for the future. At least for now, there was still a room available for Momo to stay in. The layout and furnishings were simple, and as a princess's bedroom, it was a bit spartan. But the girl seemed very satisfied and didn't make any additional requests. Seeing this, Levi was more than happy to have an easy time.

Thus, the number of residents in the independent dormitory of Evangeline, the special security officer and elementary school student of Mahora Academy, reached six.

It was unclear what measures the higher-ups of Mahora would take if they learned of this situation. But Levi himself didn't care at all.

He had no sense of shame, treating this small house, which belonged to Mahora's public property, as his and Evangeline's private property.

"Ah~"

Lying on the bed, staring at the wooden ceiling through the moonlight filtering through the curtains, Levi let out a sigh.

There was no special reason. The matter of the new tenant was settled, and the Holy Grail War was temporarily on hold due to a lack of information. Levi should have been in a good mood, but he looked a bit gloomy, simply because of a small matter—he was having trouble sleeping.

Actually, to say he was having trouble sleeping wasn't that serious; he just couldn't fall asleep. After hearing Eve's report from Super Bell, Levi learned that he had slept for a full forty hours in that bio-weapon cultivation tank.

He usually slept for about six to seven hours a day, and at Super Bell's, he had accumulated six days' worth of sleep. If he could still fall asleep immediately now, that would be strange.

Turning his head to look at Evangeline, who was probably having a sweet dream, Levi once again doubted his decision to train this vampire to be a diurnal creature. At least having someone to chat with would be better than lying awake alone.

Thinking and doing were part of Levi's character. He got out of bed, and even if he couldn't find someone to chat with, he could smoke a cigarette, watch TV, or play one of Evangeline's cherished games. With his mind made up, he teleported from the bedside directly out of the room.

In the corridor, he felt a big problem—his cigarettes were gone.

His previous clothes, which he had returned from Super Bell, were directly handed over to Chacha for washing. The box of cigarettes with a few left in it was probably put away by Chacha.

Levi stood in the corridor, looking at the room where he had originally placed his personal items. Since the cabinets and drawers in the bedroom were all filled with the little vampire's clothes, Levi had to find another empty room to use as a storage room.

But as Evangeline had said when Momo moved in, the second-floor rooms were now full of girls. Levi's storage room, of course, was occupied by a guest. The current occupant was Eve.

What to do? Levi was unprepared for this situation and became troubled.

Go out to buy some? The nearest vending machine that sold cigarettes was at the edge of the teacher's residential area. The student residential area, of course, did not have cigarette vending machines.

Even if Levi was willing to go out and buy a pack of cigarettes at night, it wouldn't work. He was a loyal fan of Virginia tobacco, and the vending machines that sold only blended cigarettes were not an option.

Apart from knocking on the door and waking Eve, there seemed to be no other way. Unlike a true addict, for a male adult with a smoking habit, the small, flammable stick in his hand was the best companion to get through a lonely night.

Perhaps there was another way. Levi accidentally noticed the artistic pattern on the back of his left hand, the proof of his relationship with Eve, the Command Spell.

The primary function of the Command Spell was to maintain the subordinate relationship between a mage and a Heroic Spirit. A master like Levi, who could directly engage with a Heroic Spirit, was unprecedented in the history of the Holy Grail War. Most participants, even geniuses like Rin, were still just frail ordinary girls in front of a Heroic Spirit.

Why would a powerful Heroic Spirit obey a weak mage? First, they all had the same goal: to obtain the Holy Grail and fulfill their wishes. Second, it was the Command Spell signed during the contract.

The existence of the Command Spell prevented a Heroic Spirit from harming their master. Even if they wanted to disobey orders or absolutely refused to do something, the mage could use the Command Spell to force the Heroic Spirit to act against their will. Of course, this opportunity only had three uses, and the contract would end with the third command.

In addition to this, the existence of the Command Spell provided another benefit for Levi's current action. From his observations, the two parties with a contractual relationship would subconsciously lower their guard against each other. This gave Levi the opportunity to infiltrate without waking Eve.

Under the cover of night, the adult male in the dark corridor began his unauthorized and stealthy infiltration of a female bedroom. He believed that with his years of experience as a professional assassin, having infiltrated enemy headquarters countless times, and with the help of the Command Spell, this mission would surely succeed.

Depart! Target: cigarettes!
