Second Update……

————————————————-

Golden hair, a petite figure. A smooth black bodysuit with a short skirt, clearly designed for combat and special traits. When Levi saw the unforgettable delicate face, he immediately bowed his head. Indeed, under the hem of the skirt, he found the legs tightly wrapped in something that looked like plastic bags.

"It's you?! Golden Darkness!"

He had thought that even if it wasn't a demon or an angel, it would at least be an ancient hero from the legends in the books. Levi never imagined that this young girl would appear at this time and place.

"Torre!"

The girl, whom Levi called 'Golden Darkness,' also lifted her head sharply at the sound of his voice, her eyes filled with surprise and unhidden joy, but she uttered a strange name.

"Miss, even if you chased me here, I still have to regretfully tell you that I am not the 'Torre' you speak of."

After the initial shock, Levi turned and walked out of the summoning circle. He answered the girl with a helpless tone while continuously examining the pattern on the ground, suspecting that he might have drawn it incorrectly. Could this familiar girl be the so-called 'Heroic Spirit'?

"Hey, Al. You didn't draw it wrong, did you? Or did you recite the incantation incorrectly?"

It wasn't that he was unhappy with the girl's arrival. Levi was simply puzzled by the discrepancy between what was happening and what was described in the books. Moreover, avoiding this familiar girl had long become a habit for Levi. Even a century of long time could not make him forget this habit.

Every time he saw the disappointed loneliness on her pitiful face, Levi found it hard to face her. Several times, he almost couldn't resist admitting that he was the 'Torre' she spoke of, but knowing the truth, such an admission would only make the girl, who was searching through the vast, dark universe, even more sorrowful.

"Are you doubting my professional skills? Such a simple summoning circle and incantation, how could I possibly make a mistake? Since she responded to the summoning, she must be a 'Heroic Spirit.' Are you surprised by her appearance? Although she looks frail, you're not the type to judge people by their looks, especially when you have a more 'soft' Katie by your side."

One of the taboos for a magician is to be doubted about their abilities. How could Al make such a basic mistake? Even with an unfamiliar magic type, a former member of the 'Red Wings,' who was celebrated as a hero, would not make a mistake.

After the initial shock of their first meeting, the girl called 'Golden Darkness' also returned to her usual self. She stood silently beside the two, her beautiful face devoid of any expression, making it impossible to read her thoughts. Except for her ruby eyes, which followed Levi's every move, she seemed to have not heard the conversation about her.

"I don't think you would make such a basic mistake. The problem is that the book says Heroic Spirits are formed from mythic heroes who died in battle and are still celebrated today. But she..."

Levi pointed to the girl who silently followed him, struggling to find the right words to explain to Al.

After all, their connection had been severed for a whole century. Given her identity and profession, the possibility of her dying in battle was not low. Moreover, from Levi's understanding, even as a representative of death and coldness, she could still be celebrated.

Levi looked at Al, who was waiting for his explanation, and simply waved his hand, signaling to end the topic. Perhaps he was just shocked that the one who responded to the summoning was this girl. Since the fact was already established, further discussion wouldn't change anything.

"No problem? I'm very interested in the relationship between the two of you. It seems you already know each other? And Miss Assassin's experiences, just from her appearance, must be quite fascinating, right?"

Al waited for a long time but received no response from the girl. However, he judged that it wasn't due to any dissatisfaction with him but rather her naturally quiet personality.

"If you don't mind, could the two of you come inside and let me hear your story? Collecting others' lives is my greatest pleasure. Can you satisfy me?"

==================

In the forest leading to the cabin, Levi slowly walked under the trees, which faintly blocked the moonlight, occasionally perking up his ears to eavesdrop on the girl behind him.

To his disappointment, the girl, who had become his Servant, had not spoken a single word since he refused Al's request and left.

In the past, when he didn't want to face something, Levi always chose to avoid it. But now that the two were partners in the 'war,' their fates were tied together, making it impossible for him to continue avoiding her.

In this situation, Levi preferred if the girl would take the initiative to speak, so they could have a proper conversation and clear up all the misunderstandings.

Unfortunately, she seemed unwilling to comply with his wishes. Even when Levi tried to initiate a conversation several times, he received no proper response. Already finding it difficult to deal with someone with a silent personality, Levi gave up after several failed attempts. He decided to go home first, rest, and replenish his lost magic power.

Let everything happen naturally, and wait for the right moment.

However, he didn't expect the moment to come so quickly, and it didn't entirely align with his wishes. Fate, it seemed, was always so elusive.

Bang!

Eva, who was originally about to open the door to welcome Levi, glanced at the girl following him and then decisively shut the door.

"Wait, Eva! Open the door, it's not what you think, hey!"

Levi had been so preoccupied with how to deal with the girl behind him that he forgot about the person in front of him.

Going out for a walk after dinner and returning late at night with a strangely dressed and rather revealing woman would not earn him a good reception from any wife. The fact that Eva didn't resort to violence on the spot did not mean she wasn't furious.

If he tried to nonchalantly take out his key and enter, it would only lead to more trouble. Levi stood in front of the tightly closed wooden door, frowning as he tried to think of the best way to explain, but what could he do if he couldn't even get inside?

Soon, he found that he no longer needed to worry about how to get in.

A strong wind blew past his ear, and a golden hammer appeared out of nowhere, smashing the thin wooden door to pieces.

Looking at the scattered wood on the ground, Levi sighed helplessly and pressed his right hand to his forehead. The most troublesome thing had finally happened.

"Great, just great! Absolutely fantastic! I never thought I would witness such a cliché plot from a boring TV drama, where the mistress comes to the house. Your performance was simply perfect!"

Eva, appearing like a gust of wind amidst the scattered debris, had already donned the black robe symbolizing her vampire identity. She bit her lower lip, revealing two fangs, and glared fiercely at the two outside the door.
