Chapter 9 – It’s a Different Creature!....It’s Impossible to Stop Immediately

….Now I’ve done it.

The giant centipede in front of me seems to have noticed my reaction and has become depressed.

It's now trying to hide in the snow, taking a distance from me.

「Wait!」

As expected, my attitude was too bad.

This little one is different from Japanese centipedes.

I’ve never been greeted by a Japanese centipede before!

In the middle of the night, one appeared in my futon and…that’s one scary memory.

Even so, the depressed centipede looks cute.

I never thought there would come a day where I would say centipedes are cute.

From being depressed, it regained its calmness.

When I looked at it again, I found that its body is pure white and is reflecting light beautifully.

Moreover, I can see that it has shiny silver scales too.

The silver part near its tail looks like scales but I’m not sure.

Looking at the silver part closely, they look like scales but at the same time, they don’t look like scales.

When I tried touching it, it felt soft but hard.

…..the feeling is mysterious and I can’t describe it accurately.

The giant centipede twisted its body and looked at me from behind.

I’m not a fan of centipedes but this one no longer scares me and I even find it charming.

When I pat its silver part, it’s body shook a little.

It doesn’t seem to dislike it so I assume it’s okay.

Should I name it?

It looks like a centipede but….no, I should think of something else.

It doesn’t mean that it looks like a centipede so I’ll name it centipede….ah!

「How about Mu?」

TN: Centipede in Japanese is “mukade”.

It looks like a centipede so I’ll name it with just a part of it.

Is something wrong with my head?

Well, it seems to like Mu so let’s leave it that way.

The little centipedes….I can’t even distinguish their sizes so I’ll give up.

---Scene Change---

I took Kuuhi and Usa to the snow mountain.

For some reason, our companions are Ai’s group…..do they want to play in the snow mountain too?

I also brought a sled that the one eyes made from wood.

Speaking of snow, the first thing you’ll think is to slide….according to simpleton but I don’t care if I’m one of them today.

I want to try sliding on the snow at least once.

I explained to Kuuhi and Usa how to use a sled.

They were both confused at first but when I took them with me to slide down the snow, they became so happy that they were laughing out loud.

They became a little fidgety and restless. It looks like they want to try it on their own.

When I gave them the sled, they got on immediately….Ai rides behind them and slides down.

….he wants to slide after all.

Should I have the one eyes made sleds for Ai and the others?

I was poked from behind.

When I looked back, I found Mu showing her back to me.

….do you want me to pat you?

I patted it but it protested.

What do you want?

Mu looked at the two kids sliding down their sled.

And looked at me and looked at its back….you want me to ride you?

「Uwaaaaaaaa!」

I’m sliding down from the top of the snow mountain while riding Mu.

Mu, you’re amazing!

I can’t believe how fast I’m going.

The speed is beyond imagination but….this is a must for roller coaster lovers.

Moreover, I can only grab on Mu’s back. Honestly, I feel like I’m going to be blown away…it’s both exciting and thrilling.

….it’s a roller coaster with no safety equipment.

Ah, I forgot about it!

When Mu stopped, I was blown away….I’m glad that the snow is fluffy!

It's so cute how Mu rushes over to me in a panic.

However, this is so much fun.

Kuuhi and Usa are looking at us….it will be dangerous if they imitate us, isn’t it?

I’d like to try again but….I better not.

「Mu, thank you. That was fun!」

Ah, what’s that!

Fluffy is sliding down, imitating Mu….towards me!

I can already see what will happen.

I was buried with a huge amount of snow.

Mu rused to drag me out of the snow.

…..I slide down the snow using the Fluffy ride.

It was sulking because I’m only having fun with Marshmallow in the snow mountain.
