After finishing my meal with tears, let's get the reward!

Just as I said that, I realized something.

"Where is the tool shop?"

My adventure began.

My adventure ended quickly.

Once I realized no enemies would appear, the exploration went much smoother than expected.

The result of the exploration is the map above.

To put it bluntly, as expected, there were no enemies, not even traps.

I also found out that the environment was prepared for two officers and ninety-six soldiers to live.

There were enough various firearms stored in the armory and body armor in the newly discovered armor storage to equip everyone, including spares.

The food storage had enough food to last one hundred people for a month, and if it was just me, I could ignore food issues for several years.

Now, I am standing in front of the door marked "Tool Shop."

Next to it are doors leading to the food storage and the guild.

The guild seems to be a place where you can drink alcohol.

There were other facilities inside the guild, but they are not currently functional, so I don't know the details.

When I entered the tool shop, there was a counter with a computer and a large box that looked like an elevator entrance.

The weapon shop and armor shop had the same layout.

There's no point in separating them.

Is this what they call aesthetic beauty?

The computer was already turned on as soon as I entered.

"Welcome. What can I do for you today?"

I quickly read the text on the computer screen and typed "Mission Reward Collection" into the search bar.

"Mission Reward Collection, is it? There is 1 matching candidate:

1. Mission [Swift Exploration] Reward Collection"

This must be it.

I clicked "Collect," and a low humming sound came from the box next to the counter.

After a while, the box's door opened.

"Hmm, this is..."

Inside the box was a fairly large cardboard box.

On the box, in neat calligraphy, it read "Japan National Defense Army."

When I picked it up, it was quite heavy, but not as heavy as I imagined.

These days, everything is about lightweight.

However, it's not light enough to carry to my private room.

I reluctantly decided to open it here.

Inside the box were:

- Type 32 Infantry Armor Model 3

- Type 88 Steel Helmet Model 4

- Monocular Night Vision Device

- Various Pads

- Cut-Resistant Gloves

- Various Snacks, Drinks, and Medicines

There were a lot of extras.

Since I had the chance, I ate the chocolate bar I received and started putting on the equipment.

The Type 32 armor, which looks like a bulletproof vest, was surprisingly light.

Probably around 2 to 3 kilograms.

It's not only light but also not very thick, so it doesn't hinder movement much.

It feels like wearing a vest over your clothes.

I'm a bit worried if this can really serve as armor, but according to the manual, it can withstand a 12.7mm heavy machine gun's fire from 100 meters away.

Well, if I get hit by such a thing, even if the armor holds up, the impact might blow me away.

The Type 88 steel helmet, despite its name, is clearly not made of steel.

It has a plastic-like texture and is very light.

It was designed to attach a night vision device, so I put on the one that came with it and placed it on my head.

After adjusting the chin strap, it was securely fixed and wouldn't come off easily.

I attached pads to my elbows and knees and put on the cut-resistant gloves, and voilà!

There stands a seasoned soldier!

Well, in reality, I'm just a military otaku in cosplay.

But, I have received the reward.

Checking the terminal screen, as expected, the mission was updated.

"Mission [Reward Collection] Successful

Reward: 10,000 yen has been credited to your account"

"Mission [First Dungeon]

Prepare your equipment and head to the dungeon

Reward: 6 units of Type 42 Unmanned Reconnaissance System

Client: Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Japan, Ishiba Jinji

Comment: Please be very careful, just going in and coming back is enough"

What, a dungeon?
