As the term “Origin Seal” was used, Allen could see Tonisev’s finger twitch. The lieutenant barely squeezed out a smile, perhaps affected by nervousness, his eyes were a bit cloudy. Pushing Allen forwards, he spoke, “Babe, I think you’d want to check out your room first, let me know if there’s anything unsatisfactory or anything you need. Your room is over there.”

He pointed to the room on the left, and Allen silently walked towards it with Massacre in his hands. He knew that whatever they were discussing next was not something they wanted him to hear. It seems that an Origin seal wasn’t something that simple.

Walking towards the room, Allen quickly surveyed his new room. With a “Di Da” sound, the automatic lock unlocked as the doors disappeared into the walls. Walking into this 30m² sized room, Allen was speechless. It was unnecessarily luxurious for a room, even bigger than the steel sheet house Allen had lived in during his childhood, and it was furnished to the point where it was essentially an entire house on its own.

The entrance was decorated with wooden flooring and a crystal curtain that separated the rooms. At the end of the hallway was a toilet, furnished with clean white tiles and marble countertops, at the corners were all sorts of ornaments, a golden sink, and a clean set of toiletries. This was the perfect embodiment of “quality” that Tonisev emphasized.

Two stone steps led into the room that had a ceiling about 20cm higher than the entrance, it had the same wooden flooring and it’s ceilings were decorated with lights that were covered with frosted glass, giving the room a bright glow.

A glass wall that faced the entrance showed off the sights of Babylon, and through the glass, Allen could even see a semicircle shaped balcony with a small and intricate table set.

On the right side of the room, there was a guest area consisting of a sofa set, a wine cabinet, and even a wall fitted with a television. It seemed to be a simple silver wall, but with voice control, one could play any show they liked.

A bed large enough for three people faced that wall on the other side, covered in a beautiful blanket and soft fluffy pillows. There were golden nightstands on the two sides of the bed, with unique little green lamps placed on top.

Allen threw himself on the bed, he had heard a bit of the conversation outside as the door slowly closed, it seemed that Tonisev was arguing with the man.

And as he heard, Tonisev was extremely agitated as he pulled at his golden wig, shrieking at Hughton, “General, you must have gotten it wrong, that’s a child! Child! Who would place an origin seal on a child? That’s preposterous!”

Origin seals were usually used on dangerous criminals, especially those with great strength that the government couldn’t kill. These kinds of people would have origin seals placed upon them and they would be banished to a planet far away, never to return as they died in a corner of the universe.

In the four hundred years of the government’s creation, there was never a case where an origin seal would be placed on a child. Much less a land child!

“I might be old, but this still works.” Hughton tapped at his temple, “I can tell if it’s an Origin seal. But this is quite strange, you should find out more about the child’s identity and about the person who used the seal on him. He has potential, but with this seal, he wouldn’t even be able to form a single Gene Circuit. Not only that, there are about three levels of the seal in him!”

“Three levels!” Tonisev jumped up again, “What kind of crazy bastard uses a three-level seal on a child?”

“How would I know? He might’ve done it because he was afraid of the child’s potential.” Hughton rolled his eyes as he returned to his lethargic state, “Anyways, it doesn’t matter if I teach him or not, he’s definitely going to die.”

“Or, you guys could pick another one?”

Tonisev leaned forwards, placing both his hands on the table as fire spewed from his eyes, “Major General Hughton, you should know that the Death Ring never changes its contestants. No matter what, please fulfill your duty. Even if my baby Allen will die in the hand of the other kids, you have to properly teach him until then.”

Hughton gave him a strange look, “When did you ever care about a land kid?”

“Because Ron told me that this child chose to come to this hell himself.” For once, Tonisev had a proper expression on his face, “This courage alone, deserves some respect.”

“Courage? Sounds more like idiocy, who would jump into hell willingly?” Hughton shrugged, “Alright if you insist, leave the kid. But are you going to report this incident……?”

“No.” Tonisev shook his head, “You should know that anything related to Origin seals is troublesome, and I hate trouble. If he’s going to die anyway, this secret can disappear with him. If he survives, someone else will worry about it.”

Hughton shook his empty bottle, “What a smart fellow.”

“Of course, so, I’ll leave Allen to you. I’ll be back to see him later.” Waving his hand, Tonisev walked out with a model’s grace.

Hughton instinctively reached for an unopened bottle, but he suddenly thought to himself, “Damn, I have a job to do, I can’t get drunk.”

“……or maybe just half the bottle is fine.”

After 10 minutes, Allen returned to the hall. Hughton was burping as the thick scent of alcohol wafted through the room. If he were to throw a matchstick at this old man’s mouth, would his stomach light on fire? Allen thought.

He waved towards Allen, “Allen? Your name is Allen, right? Come here, let me see your precious weapon.”

Allen handed Massacre over to the drunkard, who swiped the table’s trash onto the floor. The bottles shattered as they slammed onto the ground, leaving shards of glass everywhere. And as the sound rang through the hall, a cleaning robot suddenly came from the corner and quickly cleaned the trash off the floor before returning to its position. Allen then understood how the hall was so clean, despite the old man’s presence.

“Not bad, a Demonic weapon. Of course, it’s only first gear.” He eyed Allen, “But to get something like this on land is pretty good. I’d bet you’re the only kid here with a weapon like this. Did Ron give this to you? How generous, but your puny Origin isn’t good enough to use it. Let me see, maybe I can tweak with the Demonic Cube sequence, lower its cost, that’s going to lower its damage by half, but at least you’d be able to use it……” the old man started mumbling to himself as he jumped off the chair, with a shaky posture, he spoke to Allen, “Wait here, I need some tools. I’ll bring my precious stuff here too……”

Hughton brought a toolbox when he returned from his room. There were all sorts of tools Allen couldn’t recognize inside, and using these items, Hughton immediately started to disassemble Massacre, to Allen’s surprise.

Allen watched as Hughton took out several components from Massacre, before finally taking out a matchbox-sized component. It resembled an integrated circuit, but its design was much more complicated than a circuit board. The lines on it seemed to form an image, and some of the lines were even fitted with crystals with diameters about 10mm long.

Seeing the light in Allen’s eyes as he stared at the items in his hand, Hughton laughed, “This is your first time seeing this? This is a Demonic Cube sequence, the heart of all demonic weapons. Different sequences can give a weapon different types of power. The one in your hands has the most simple sharpness energy, but even so, you’re still not strong enough to wield it.”

“But you can change that,” Allen spoke.

Hughton was amused, “Of course, in front of you is one of the best Demon Cube sequence architects. Lowering its costs is as simple as batting an eye for me. If you’re interested, I can teach you after the Death Ring ends. Of course, you’ll need some talent in this area first.”

Allen immediately nodded his head, demonic weapons were an integral component to the government’s military strength. If he could learn something about Demonic Cube sequences, it could be beneficial in more ways than one.

Of course, that was after the Death Ring.

Allen couldn’t help but ask as he watched Hughton messed with the Demonic Cube sequence with his tools, “Major General, what is an Origin seal?”

Hughton paused for a bit before resuming his work, “You can think of it was a lock, a lock on the door of Origin, one with a damned password!”

Origin seals were created with Origin with all sorts of attributes to seal the circulation of Origin within the body. It was made to restrict, and ultimately exhaust the human’s origin. It was usually placed on the heart of a human, one of the most important organs in the human body, since Origin relied on the veins in the body to circulate, and those veins were pumped by the heart.

With Allen as an example, when he condensed his ninth Origin Vortex, he would need to gather his vortexes in his heart to create his first Gene Circuit. And as the seal was placed on the heart, when he moved the vortexes into his heart, it would be restricted with the seal.

And the stronger you were, the bigger the effects of the seal!
