Pushing the wooden doors open, Adele hummed a little time as she returned to her own floor. Perhaps influenced by her personality, she always enjoyed staying at high places. She chose the attic at the top right of the tower over the extravagant rooms in the Mosen family’s castle. In her room, Sophie was cleaning the floor, and seeing her miss return, she asked curiously, “Why is my lady in such a good mood?”

Adele walked over to the maid, gently placing her hand onto her face before reaching for an apple on the table. Throwing herself into a dark red couch and kicking off her hunting boots, she placed her clean feet onto the sofa and bit into the apple, “Because I found myself a marriage candidate, my dear Sophie, why wouldn’t I be in a good mood? I can’t even control my joy……”

And as she finished speaking, she bursted out in laughter as she squirmed on the sofa, confusing her little servant. Sophie shook her head, “Miss, why did you do so?”

“Because the Mosen family is too small, grandpa believes that the successor can only be male, regardless of their ability. In my future, I’d only be able to become an elder in the family, and they might even use my marriage to tie themselves with another family in the future.” She was lazily sprawled out on the sofa as she bit onto the apple in her hands with her beautiful red lips, “So, I have to get out, Sophie. Only by getting out can I broaden my horizons, and the Beskard family is a good jumping board. The candidate I’ve chosen has lived with wolves all his life, a wild man that’s different from the boys that grew up in our gardens. Don’t you think such a person would be interesting for our circle?”

Sophie laughed along with her miss, but she knew that just one wild stallion like Adele was more than enough in the nobility. She couldn’t even imagine what it would be like if a wolf joined the fray.

“Men conquered women through conquering the world, and women are the exact opposite. If he is strong enough, having him means I have the world.” She raised her legs and placed it onto the armrests of the couch, swaying her snow white feet in the air. Watching the little servant swallow her saliva, she continued lazily, “Even if he ends up being useless, with the connection with the Beskards, I’d have enough power to stand my own ground. Either ways, I’ll benefit from this!”

Sophie couldn’t help but ask, “Miss, which Beskard young master are you interested in?”

“The one I had you bet on.”

“Ah, him? But……”

“He’s not one now, but he’ll be one in the future, that is if he survives.” Adele turned to Sophie and beckoned her with her finger, “Come here, my little Sophie. Now you know my secrets, you should try and please me. If not, I’ll kill you.”

The little servant almost jumped in fear, she knew her miss was only playing with her, but she was famous for her strange methods. Even without killing her, Adele had plenty of ways to make her life miserable. For example, she could throw her into a random young master’s bed.

Terrified, Sophie walked over towards Adele carefully and was pulled onto the sofa. Adele’s hands wandered as she smiled, “Come here, let me see how you’ve developed.”

And after a moment, her shocked voice travelled through the building, “How did it get this big!”

In her shout, there was shock and even a little bit of resentment.

Allen stared calmly at the two sabertooth wolves before him, the one of the left seemed to be male, and had a much bigger head. The female on the right had a smaller build, but much faster speed. As they attacked, female wolves were more dangerous, they had a lot more flexibility and speed overall.

His long knife and Massacre was pierced into the ground as he taunted the wolves, beckoning them with his finger.

With a low growl, they pounced towards him using the strength from their hind legs. Allen’s eyes were as red as dripping blood despite his calm demeanour, he was just like a volcano threatening to erupt beneath the calm seas. And as the two wolves inched towards him, he let out a wild roar, resembling the time he lived with the wolves, he had a dangerous glint to him.

His blood raged within his body, as if thirsting for something as his fighting intent surged against the walls of his chest

The tip of his feet rose as he kicked at the long knife at a strange angle. It flew in the air, turning in the sky as it pierced towards ground near the male wolf. The wolf jumped forwards as well, pouncing towards Allen as the knife turned upwards, and it was just like the wolf had moved towards it itself, and the knife grazed it’s soft belly, tearing open a long wound.

With a pained cry, the male wolf could feel its strength seeping out of its body along with its blood.

The female move was more agile as it ran towards Allen, snapping at his feet. If Allen were to be bitten, there was no doubt that his ankles would be broken, and if that were to happen, he would become this female wolf’s dinner in an instant.

But it missed, and it’s jaws snapped together harshly, numbing itself. As it took a second to recover, Allen was already on the move, sliding aside like a snake as he pulled Massacre out and swung it. The pattern on Massacre lit up in an instant as the energy blade that swung out sliced at the female wolf.

And as the light of the blade disappeared, a chunk of fur flew from the female wolf’s side as blood began to spurt out. And after a few shaky steps, the female wolf fell to the ground as well, dying next to the male wolf.

Standing upright, Allen’s fighting intent was slowly disappearing as he took a deep breath to calm his blood’s circulation. Only after he was back to normal did a smile appear on his face.

It had been three days since he first reached Jiwan River Valley, in these few days, Allen spent all his time hunting the Sabertooth wolves. Right now, the entire population of the wolves had been killed off. In the beginning, Allen would still occasionally injure himself, but today, he had killed these two wolves without a single injury. It was these kinds of improvements in the split seconds of battle that helped him grow.

The results of these three days were significantly better than the month long training he had at the training hall.

The most obvious improvement was that Allen had managed to condense yet another Origin vortex. The increased vortex meant that Hughton didn’t lie, killing did increase his Origin. But the Origin created using this method was not pure enough, and required further refining.

Training through combat yielded fast results.

But with time, it’s flaws would become apparent. The foundation was so shaky that it was difficult to progress, and no matter how tall a building is, if the foundation was shaky, how would it stand? It was no surprise that Hughton didn’t want Allen to go down this path.

But for the current Allen, he didn’t have a better choice.

A whistle came from behind him, followed by Lucy’s voice, “Fighting two sabertooth tigers at once, you don’t want to live anymore, kid?”

“I don’t think so, if they could, those fellows would take me on one-on-one instead of a gang attack. Therefore, I should learn to fight like this now.” He turned around, facing Lucy, “How are you?”

Lucy jumped down from a mossy stone, “I’m feeling as good as it gets.”

“Really? Words are pointless, let’s try.” He looked towards the long knife pierced into the dead wolf’s belly, he wanted to fight.

Instead of taking on his invitation immediately, she smiled, “You mean kid, you’re testing your sister?”

Allen shook his head at her ambiguous words. And instead of teasing him, Lucy pulled out the bloodied long knife and flicked her wrist, shaking the blood off the knife as she signalled at him, “Come on, your sister here will beat you till you cry.”

Allen laughed out loud, he didn’t refute her, but he was planning on using his actions to. He charged forwards almost instantly, leaning his body forwards as his feet pushed against the ground. Watching his movements, Lucy hid her smile as her wrists moved to raise the bloodied long knife before her. With three slashes, she sliced at Allen, creating three shadows of the blade aimed towards his face and his chest.

Unfazed by the knife’s shadows coming his way, he swung Massacre sideways, creating a curved ray of light that slammed into the shadows directly. With a loud sound, the attacks collided, and her attacks were pushed back by Massacre.

This left Lucy wide open, and a glint in Allen’s eyes appeared as he changed the direction of Massacre, reversing his previous swing. At this moment, Allen was using his Origin. Within his body, the origin was coursing through his veins and towards his hand, and as the wave of his Origin Vortex reached his wrist, it was quickly followed by another wave that slammed into it. The two waves of Origin increased exponentially in speed as it charged towards the location Allen aimed towards.

His strength increased explosively!

Massacre’s blade created a loud noise that shook the listener. And with a gaping mouth, Lucy placed the long knife before herself as her other hand pressed against the back of the blade. Her body was curved in a defensive position as she tried to block his attack.

But just before it made contact with her, Allen changed the blade’s course and slammed his weapon onto the long knife. With a loud clang, Lucy was sent backwards by a few steps as her wrists went numb and her blood surged.

Allen placed Massacre onto his shoulder as he smiled at Lucy, his heart was filled with joy. He had spent these few days analysing Hughton’s method of breaking the barrier; it utilised the collision between waves of Origin Vortexes to create a stronger attack that could break the first Origin seal in his body. But he only had seven Origin Vortexes, he wouldn’t be able to try breaking the seal now.

He had used that method earlier, and with the collision of the two Origin Vortexes, he was able to send Lucy backwards. It was obvious that there was a skill to circulating Origin, and with the right methods, he could increase his power significantly.
